RE: Hezbollah activity link mentions a restaurant owner in Dearborn Michigan. I lived very close to that restaurant. Just behind a few rows of parking behind the restaurant runs an Amtrak rail line, used mostly for passenger trains to Ann Arbor to Chicago.

In the week of 911 I was home glued to television as the local news announced a train derailment just happening in Dearborn. The camera showed a RR crossing sign, and then the picture was cut, storyline dropped, and the new commentator changed subjects. There was no further coverage of the derailment in any media. Later that day a friend had to detour around the tracks, which were blocked off with yellow crime tape.

As I recall some workers in that restaurant, and some food service workers from Metro Airport were arrested that week with a lot of al quaeda related materials at their residence.

I never visited that restaurant again.

This pedant’s “editorial” reads more like a teacher’s evaluation for a remedial student than the public announcement one ought to expect: though my student is not perfect, he has, during the evaluation period, begun to demonstrate an ability to interact with others… his tendency to do harm to himself and others is beginning to diminish… on balance, therefore it would be disadvantageous to the school and to the child’s self-esteem to hold him back another year…

Ann Coulter nails it in her column today, she says,
