Rather returns, in high-def
posted at 2:05 pm on July 10, 2006 by Allahpundit
Every crease. Every line. Every wrinkle.
In 1080i.
Gonna look like Mike Wallace’s granddaddy, he is. As old as a junebug squattin’ on Methuselah’s knee.
Mark Cuban, who owns HDNet, says the program will debut in October under the slogan, “Horsecrap — like you’ve never seen it before.”

Blowback

Maybe he and Cuban can do a meltdown on the air together.
BTW, Allahpundit, our friend with the birdcage and paving stones is back with more experiments, once again linked over at LGF. Complete with drawings this time.
Nothing like delusional lunacy on a Monday afternoon.

That fella’s face is more weathered than an El Paso saddle after a cattle drive.

I’ve got a +50 year old saddle that I’ve used heavily (including cattle drives)and it’s aged a lot better than him.
I’d be embarrassed to publicly associate myself with those drawings.

I hear Mary Mapes is signing on as Producer.
How about Martha Stewart as Co-Anchor, Madonna doing weather, and Howard Dean for Sports?
Yeah! And I’ll bet Connie Chung would sing the theme music!
Wowee! Like “Must-See TV”, we could call it…
“Has-Been Hi-Def!™”

Allah’s working too hard so please excuse the type-o in the headline. It should have read Rather returns, half-def!

His face would make a nightmare scared. (Work with me here, people.)

Does that mean Cuban will be sitting behind Rather the whole time, while wearing a replica Rather suit (cheering him on)?

“Dan Rather Presents” in a “fearless mode”?
More like “gutless” Dan, Rather than fearless.

I knew when that old liars dice world champion announced his retirement, that it only meant reincarnation in another dimension with even more Rather blather.
He’s been all if nothing but pure unadulterated poppycock since he ordered the Cronkite assassination.
From the way he looks now I wouldn’t take him to a dog fight if he was the reining champ.

I’ll look for the Dan Rather highlights over at Stupid Videos.

I am sure it will be an honest and fair take on all the news that is news….NOT. I honestly thought more of Cuban than this would indicate. I am disappointed/sickened. Thanks for nothing Mark.
