I thought this the first time I read the lyrics to the song at mm.com, and I think it now: *of course* the Marine Corps doesn’t want a marine singing about using a little girl as a human shield.

If that’s not something to be concerned about, somebody tell me why not. “Dark humor” (which I’ve never liked or found humorous, in general) notwithstanding.

Other than that, the hyperventilating from the likes of Sullivan and the deliberate idiocy by CAIR–conflating the lyrics of the song with “the suffering of Iraqi civilians,” which is nonsense–is par for the course and should not have been given into, but the Corps has a stake.

Can someone explain to me how a song about the attempted and defeated attempt of ambushing a single Marine could be considered a Hate Crime against Muslims?

I’ll buy several copies when “Hadji Girl” comes out on CD. And make gifts of them to wounded GIs at Walter Reed when I visit.

Can’t think of a better Morale Rasier or Christmas gift!

Yet the theme of the song is timeless.
Young marine meets girl.
Young marine woos girl.
He goes to meet the family who greet him with open arms and blazing ak-47′s.
Islamic family promotes their idea of womans lib by killing the daughter and then shoot her sister because she is in the way.
Marine uses superior training and innovative tactics to survive encounter and kill the murderers that ambushed him.
