ABC: New York train bombing was planned for 9/11/06

Or thereabouts. Because Allah’s really into irony, I guess.

[L]aw enforcement officials say the plotters had already accessed detailed blueprints and drawings of the PATH tunnels, available on the internet.

And like the London bombers, the plan was to load backpacks with explosives.

All 15 to 20 bombers were to board one car and detonate when the train was under the river, according to officials…

Officials say the suspects communicated freely, thinking that no one could track them…

Officials say none of the plotters were in the United States but that several of them were nearby in Canada. Others had planned to travel to New York from Saudi Arabia.

Officials say even after their leader was arrested in April, the plotters continued to make plans, and officials say they can’t be sure the plan is fully stopped, even now.

The bad news is, according to Bill Keller, these must be the only terrorists on earth who don’t already know every detail of our counterterrorism operations. Which means this is the last plot we’ll ever disrupt. Plus, now we’ll never get to see DU “prove” that the bombing was a hoax by jerry-rigging a Lionel set with an M-80.

Have you ever seen a more asinine and blatantly bogus “scientific” experiment than that DUmmie attempt at “proving” that an internal fire couldn’t have brought down the twin towers?

I suppose I probably have too. But I can’t remember it atm.

So why did someone leak it to a tabloid for publication on today of all days? Consider: Today is the one-year anniversary of the July 7 bombings in London. It also marks four months to the day from November’s mid-term elections.

Here is what I do not understand…
Every single time anything has surfaced, the lefties say that it is all a Rove plan because it is an election year, or an election year is coming up, or they are boosting sagging poll numbers for the bid on a seat that will be contested in the next election…
When will those buffoons realize that every other year is an election year?
Jeez, I wish they could debate the issues instead of blaming everything on the substandard IQ of the super genious Bushy Mcchimpittler and his cabinate of machavelies.

At the DU site-did you notice the gravitar is of Paul Wellstone? A little creepy-Paul may have been a hard core liberal, but he was honest, and would never ‘bow the knee’ to the Democratic Party as they are demanding Lieberman do now.
With that said…unless the Towers were made of chicken wire, this “experiment” proves nothing. Except that any idiot can run a video camera now.

Once again the enemies of Liberty target a major LIBERAL city. New York City is their eastern mecca. Yet the libs who live there (and who’ll die there if the enemy succeeds) are the first to complain about us fighting the enemy on his turf. Maybe we *should* pull all of our Troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, let the enemy hit us again in NYC, maybe then the libs will wake up. Nah, if 9/11 didn’t do it, nothing will. Go back to sleep lefties, the grownups will defend your peaceful night’s rest.
