There are a lot of formalized expressions fpr kissing which I remember grandma translating in letters from Europe, like "I kiss your wrists" as expressions of gratitude or joy. These can be between same sex. At festivals, women often partnered with women to dance. Men especially when drinking fell all over each other. But in that same environment, homosexual expression was a no-no-no. Did not exist. That was a sin beyond expression. And pedophilia - oh my God! I cannot for the life of me remember a belly kiss.
