Out of the blue (to me) at a strategic wind up of Bush’s term, the Immigration Bill appears, a package of gigantic far reaching details that is presented as an emergency package, needed immediately because of some kind of immigration crisis. Those who wanted this bill blasted the public with crisis language and tried to fast talk the whole mess through.

4. In retrospect, the reason Arlen Spector was pushed by the White House over a superior and popular conservative candidate becomes more apparent. Spector has been a willing servant of the White House strageries to ram this bill through.
