The promise of Kim Il Sung was to reunite the South and The North of Korea by any means. He died before keeping that promise, thus leaving his son and many of the North Korean military leadership to carry out the promise. Kim Jung Il must position himself to his people as a Leader that has intentions of fulfilling his fathers wishes, or possibly lose power in the future. Perhaps by “illness” or “accidental” means perpetrated by his “associates”. Such is the world of dicatorships.
If Kim Jong Il can get enough Cindy Sheehans together on the MSM, he may be able to pull it off by having the South Koreans relieve the USA from it’s responsibility to defend them.

China is the key to North Korea. When China pulls the plug on kim jong, the whole Korean government will evaporate. China will then have to deal with the mess left behind. Korea will be in the spotlight all right as Kim wants, but as a victim of China’s aggression and not as America’s challenger. It shouldn’t take too long. China is being upstaged and will have enough soon. Remember, Chinese soldiers died defending North Korea. China needs a working communist country as a neighbor, not a crazy dictator.

Hey Dems and Left leaning folks…What do you care about these missile launches. None of you should care one bit, nor can you say much about this missile launch by NK. This cant be anything at all to you . These Scuds are fifty (50) years old, way older than the recent WMD’s we found in Iraq. So they dont really count, right?

The whole world knows of the missile launches and the failure of the ‘long range’ try, except the people of North Korea. They probably were shown/told of hugely successful launches that equal the US in strength…HA HA. But thats what they were told as they starve yet another day. Kim Jong Mentally Ill tried to flex his muscles but blew a hernia instead. I cant help but wonder how many NK people he could have fed with the money spent on those useless Scuds. We know he will never feed his people, and now it will be worse as his disastrous fireworks display fizzled away like a fast wet dream. Sadly I dont think there is a much worse demon than an upset embarrassed madman like Jong Mentally Ill is now. I hope this premature ejaculation will knock some sense into China and the ‘talks’.

As for NK, China being their ‘daddy’ is sufficient to ensure that they’ll never go without technology. It’s a great place for the Chinese to have stuff tested without getting the bad PR.

'Bar funds and technology'; yeah, right! Has that worked before on them? Has not China continue to slide things under the table to them the entire time? Of course, getting their trains stolen might tick off the Chinese enough to squash some of the tecnological gifts, but I doubt it.
