IF I had any confidence in our Senate I would consider this to mearly be a bureaucratic snafu. We should be able to push through the congress a law to deal with these terrorists.

Apparently- [Justice] Stevens suggested that the administration would be best off trying Hamdan and others before regular military courts-martial trials. Now what is THAT all about?

Politically I see this as trouble for the liberals in Congress. Do they really want to push their Terrorist Bill of Rights in an election year? ;o)

I don’t buy Cochran’s argument at all. The only extended public fight the Administration is willing to wage is with it’s own base on immigration. Plus, the idea that any contrary bill on the detainees will get approval from the RINOs in the Senate is very unlikely imo.
