Report: Fatah kidnaps a third Israeli (Update: Israeli planes buzz Assad’s house)

posted at 12:37 pm on June 28, 2006 by Allahpundit

Fox is reporting, via the AP. Israel National News has an item up.

The IDF is searching the West Bank for the second kidnap victim, an 18-year-old kid whose ID was displayed this morning by the filth who took him. There was a report earlier that 30 Israeli jeeps had rolled up in front of a building complex in Ramallah but there are no details yet about what they found.

Contra Debka, the IDF has intelligence indicating that Gilad Shalit hasn’t been moved to another country but is still in Gaza. Israel’s interior minister says it was Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal who ordered the kidnapping — and that’s why Israel’s going to kill him.

Meanwhile, international lawyers wring their hands.

Update: Ynet has more on the third missing person.

Update: Just over the wire at Fox: IAF planes have buzzed Bashar Assad’s house in Syria. Remember, Ynet reported yesterday that Syrian troops had been sent to protect Mashaal in Damascus. Sounds like a shot across the bow.

Update: The AP says the planes flew over his summer home — and yes, he was there at the time.

Update: Meanwhile, the reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas is proceeding in keeping with Palestinian tradition.

I’m familiar with “asymmetric warfare,” but this is becoming in equal measure ridiculous and disgusting.

Someone tell me what the difference is between Hamas the political movement and a collection of murderous kidnappers? It’s getting harder to tell with each passing day.

Messages to the Palestinians:

1. When you elect thugs bent on genocidal war, war is what you get. Expect no pity from your intended victims; you’ll get none.

2. Don’t play war with grownups. You’ll get hurt.

All of this shows the only thing the Palestinian leaders/terrosists know is voilence…yet they seem shocked that they are met with the same. Somehting about the old quote that it is insanity to try the same thing over and over and expect a different result.

The Israelis buzzed Assad’s summer home?? Aaaaahahahahaha!! I’ll bet he soiled his tyrant tighty whities at that. Message delivered: we know where you are and you draw breath at our sufferance, scumbag. Back off or be waiting for Saddam in hell.

Hey,
CNN is repoorting
that it seems that Syria wants to believe it chased the Israeli planes away…

I think the time was spent soiling themselves, but hey, maybe those Syrians got off their butts and did. In their sweet, sweet dreams.

Wow… I think we’re about to have another candidate for a Darwin Award.

Why don’t we ‘buzz’ some houses. I can think of MANY from Sryia to HUGO’s shack in S. America. I Love it.
We need to take a page from the Isaelis play book, they’ve been doing this longer than we have.

I realize its a banning offense here to suggest violence in most cases.

But isn’t this an exception?

Perhaps blowing up the NYT building isn’t a wise idea … but is it so wrong to argue that it’s about time Israel started actually using a decent fraction of its military might?

The problem with this asymmetric war is that it has way too much symmetry. Israel should end this problem the old fashioned way. Time to go all Biblical on them. Then build a bigger fence, declare whatever border they choose, and dare the world to cross it.

Wow, I hope not. Allah is a libertarian from what I understand, and if such then he has to have read Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein, in which case he would have come across this beauty:

“Anyone who clings to the historically untrue – and thoroughly immoral – doctrine that ‘violence never settles anything’ I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and of the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee, and the jury might well be the Dodo, the Great Auk, and the Passenger Pigeon. Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms.”

A-freakin’-men.

“A-freakin’-men”

Along with “Boo-freakin’-hoo”, the beginnings of the new politically INcorrect language of Common Sense.

In my mind there is no stronger indication of our sucess in the war on terror than Isreal’s willingness to whip jihadi ass. Isreal is powerful in it’s own right, but gauges what they do based on how secure the greater western world is. I think they know what’s up in Iraq. I think they know we’ve won in Iraq – and now it’s time to kick the crap out of al-qaeda in the gaza strip.

More power to em’. The only good jihadi is a dead one.

Israel has now rounded up and arrested about 64 Hamas officials.

I love to see ‘em perp walked, shackled ankle and wrist, into an Israeli court.

President Bush should call upon the UN to supply humanitarian aid immediately and suggest dropping the Palestinians water wings because that’s the only way out now.

You play with da bull you get de horns!

Wow, I thought I was the only person who quoted from that book!

Sometimes war is the only solution (and not just to the question “what is a three letter word for armed conflict”)
We can sit back and praise ourselves on how “civilised” we are. But when the barbarians are at the gate you either have to capitulate or defend yourselves.
