Israel gonna kick some Palestinian ass.

Israel should announce that it will fight wars in Gaza as other Middle Eastern countries fight wars, not as a Western country. Israel should discuss what Syria did to domestic political opposition at Hama, and what Jordan did to the Palestinians during September 1970, as well as what the PLO did to other Palestinians during riots after the PLO returned from Tunis to the West Bank. Then Israel should follow up with similar actions.

And let the UN be damned.

Is there a more blatent “I’m a clueless friggin’ idiot” statement in the world than somebody saying that with regard to Israel? How can people be that oblivious to history and still arrogant enough to publicly voice an opinion? It will never cease to amaze me.

In case any of these people happen to lurk through here, let me enlighten you a bit with B Moe’s Rule of International Relations:

1) You can’t have a unilateral negotiation.

2) You can have a unilateral ass-whoopin’.

It really is just that simple.

what good will come out of an Israeli military raid right now? more innocents killed to try and ‘rescue’ this poor Israeli soldier. it’s time for diplomacy guys, if not, the US government should stop propping your government up. if they stop sending you checks, then you will have to think of other ways to solve the problems than apache’s and tanks. time to get smart.

I couldn’t agree more. With maybe just one small modification.

What good will come out of kidnapping Israeli’s right now? More innocents killed to try and ‘pressure’ this Israeli government. It’s time for diplomacy guys, if not, the US and EU governments should stop propping your government up. If they stop permanantly stop sending you checks, then you will have to think of other ways to solve the problems than with suicide bombings kidnappings and murders. Time to get smart.

I suppose I might have just a touch of respect for the people who always make this “stop the cycle of violence” arguement, if it wasn’t for the odd coincidence that it always seems to be the U.S. and Israel that are expected to turn the other cheek. Strange. It is almost as if the real motivation wasn’t peace in our time, but just to oppose the U.S. or Israel. Perhaps the smart people at Daily Kos can explain where my thinking has gone wrong.

From the AP: Israeli planes attacked a bridge in central Gaza late Tuesday, Israel Radio reported, and Israeli tanks were said to be on the move, possibly signaling the start of a military operation. Palestinian security forces said Israeli tanks……

I would not be surprised if the IDF has everything worked out and in place for walking an artillery barrage from one end of Gaza to the other.

I will be surprised if they can be driven into actually doing it, however since they do remember the past.
