Murtha, Murtha, Murtha

Late start this morning, plus the U.S./Ghana match is coming up (yeah, I know) so I might be phoning it in for a couple of hours. People keep e-mailing me with links to yesterday’s WashTimes editorial and today’s Bob Novak column, each alleging various shades of shadiness on the part of our favorite anti-war Congressman, so enjoy those if you haven’t already. Bear in mind that he’s a decorated veteran, so criticizing him for his stammering anti-war idiocy is roughly tantamount to desecrating Casey Sheehan’s grave. Or something.
Update: Jack Kelly piles on.

You know, if he had lost his legs at the knees during Vietnam, he would look just like Cotton, Hank Hill’s father on King of the Hill.

I’m sick and tired of Murtha and this “decorated veteran” BS. All of my old friends are also decorated veterans and we all served one or two tours of duty in Vietnam. I wouldn’t care if Murtha was the Red Baron himself, his big mouth and his child like, egocentric behavior are damaging the war effort and emboldening the terrorists. The jerk needs to shut up, stop lying and stop undermining the moral of our troops.

Murtha, I served with Marines. I knew Marines. Marines are friends of mine. Murtha , you’re no Marine.

Since Novak points out Murtha was an unindicted co-conspirator in ABSCAM, not to mention a rat, can we criticize him if we weren’t unindicted rats?
Coulter makes a great point about this canard about not being able to criticize anyone if you haven’t served in combat. She suggest that if that is to be the standard then we shjould allow only veterans to vote.
That would essentially reduce Democrats in Congress to a couple districts in Massachusetts, NY, and around Berkeley.

Murtha is beginning to remind me of that “Beggin’ Strips” commercial on TV – you know, the one in which the psychiatrist is showing the dog an assortment of images in a word-association test, and the dog’s response to each one is, “Bacon!”
When I see or hear the word “Murtha,” it’s … “Okinawa!”
I swear, the man is a walking, talking self-refutation. Karl Rove, you’ve done it again!

It’s not nice to make fun of a tired, worn out, old man like the unindicted co-conspirator Murtha. Let him speak. He’s doing a fine job of presenting democrat strategic thinking capability wothout any help.

Wasn’t Murtha in that Abscam bribery deal in the 80’s? Wasn’t he the one who “rolled” on his buddies? Some bribes were accepted but Murtha snitched on the others so they let him go. Something like that. I cant remember clearly what transpired, but Murtha was involved.
He’s been on the wrong side of most things ever since, looking out for himself and no one else. He’s no Marine anymore for sure, plus, I cant see how he has exhibited that he even cares a smidgen about what his own constituents think. He’s way past his prime and just a mean, and mad, old man now. Sad.
