What's the big deal? The pencil necked one and his bug buddies are no different than Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.

In fact, they're using the same mantra:

"Fleecing the masses as best we can."

Didn't read all the comments, but I haven't heard this analogy yet: isn't it telling that Kos and his whiny followers want to orchestrate a media blackout of criticism of Kos/Armstrong <em>"until it's good for us"</em>, but are full-throated supporters of the NY Times <strong>exposing military and national security intelligence on their front pages?</strong>

The recent stories about the ACLU squelching "internal" dissent on its board is another example of... <blockquote>The left has never tolerated dissent. Ever. </blockquote>

They and Moulitsas' response to insiders blowing his secret are certainly typical leftwing response to what they consider to be "internal treason." And yes, they most certainly do consider insiders spilling the beans to be treason.

I'm no federal prosecutor, but I'm wondering if being <strong>paid by politicians</strong> to shill for these same politicians in the blogs violates McCain-Feingold.

<blockquote>Sorry, Theworldisnotenough, but this is an IMPORTANT story. All we hear about is the “Culture of Corruption” rant from the Democrats when they totally ignore they are the ones who are corrupt. Also note that it was the leftists who were hot for the McCain-Feingold Campaign “Reform” act and now THEY are the ones who are circumventing it. </blockquote>

Wha? PJ commenting seriously?

I'm troubled.

I'm "Icarus" on your blog, by the way, PJ. Hearing you get all "serial" on me has me all discombobulated. My worldview is permanently altered.

By the way - has Rove been indicted yet?

[...] Now, on to Kos. According to The Plank [and here], Kos intends to swift boat the Ko$ola story [and more here]. Kos writes to his co-conspirators: My request to you guys is that you ignore this for now. It would make my life easier if we can confine the story. Then, once Jerome can speak and defend himself, then I’ll go on the offensive (which is when I would file any lawsuits) and anyone can pile on. If any of us blog on this right now, we fuel the story. Let’s starve it of oxygen. And without the “he said, she said” element to the story, you know political journalists are paralyzed into inaction. [...]

We all wonder how anyone could believe what the good folks at KOS believe, right?

But maybe they don't believe it. Maybe COINTELPRO is back and KOS is run by the FBI or Military intelligence. Does have that top down, command and control, structure, doesn't it? Or maybe the New Republic is, as KOS thinks, the enemy. Maybe COINTELPRO, the NSA or an agency no-one has ever heard of runs the New Republic. Or vice versa.

Just a few thoughts to share with your liberal friends. . .

btw...the comments above are EXACTLY what COINTELPRO would want out aren't they? . . .you liberals out there, and we know you are reading, do you need any more proof COINTELPRO is back?

I, personally. think this Kos character is after one thing, and one thing only: money, lots of it. And, if he can fatten his bank account by creating a "paranoid" world view that the mindless will follow, so much the better.

However, I would love to know which "journalists" are being Kos-led via emails..sort of like "talking points", no?

To win the battle abroad you must first win the battle at home.

I have to agree with PJ.
We can not make progress over seas when we people like the KOS are constantly doing all they can to destroy America.
I want our troops to come home to a strong country that is proud of their achievments. Not a pathetic sniveling country begging the world to forgive and like us and spitting on our troops.

You guys are kind of making my point. Kos is not an elected official or a MSM outlet. Let him be wacky and corrupt. The crazier the better. Then around election time Double M goes on television and highlights their absurdity then links them [Kos & democratic candidate] together. Make them look like two crazy peas in a pod. Kos' backroom profiteerimg and selective reporting works to our advantage. Lets make sure we are not guilty of the same thing. When we see Bush screwing up, we call him on it.

We already know that many liberal groups will shout down those they appose. The pink ladies shouting down Hillary and any conservative they meet. The liberal kids at campus who shout down conservative speakers. Their are a lot of examples.

But how many conservatives shout down the liberals? I am trying to think of an example, but I can not remember any.
I am not talking about 2 people in a shouting match. I am talking about one speaker and 5 or more people shouting that speaker down.
Does anyone know when a conservative group kept a liberal from speaking?

Spurious, another example is ACLU!

More freedom and liberty to the people, they proclaimed. Then they banned their own workers from speaking out against them.

I tell you, the liberals are nothing new. They are just old communists in a new dress.

They are adopting every communist trick in the book for their revolution to seize power. They even use the word "progressive", a word Mao used to motivate the youths to fight the established systems.

Have you ever noticed how it seems that those who say, "Power to the People!" so often want all the power to go to the people who are saying, "Power to the People!"?

That's Kos for you.

Kos would've fit right in with Mao's "Cultural Revolution" - just point out the party members you don't like or disagree with, or who you paranoically think might not like you, or whom you're jealous of, and accuse them of being "profiteers" or "enemies of the people" or "war criminals." Then make them wear a dunce cap before inciting the Red Guards to beat them to death or something.

Or maybe more like that grainy, black-and-white video from when Saddam consolidated his grip on power: kicked back and smoking a cigar while "spies" and "traitors" got called out from the Baath party assemblage, and grinning as they're hauled out of the room.

He should stick to Mentos commercials.

Look this is just a the latest in the long line of silencing dissidents for the left. The left has never tolerated dissent. Ever. Its just like with orthodox muslims, you're either with them (the enlightened forces of "good") or you're an apostate and deserve your fate. Right now Kos thinks he is the sole arbiter of what is good.

And like all Red on Red fights, we can't lose!
