Olbermann to Gore: We’re not winning in Iraq, are we?

posted at 10:10 pm on June 19, 2006 by Allahpundit

Olby remarks upon how “convenient” it is that the Zarqawi documents say explicitly that the insurgency is losing. Well, our troops are pretty good, counters Gore — despite the fact that they’re in “a no-win type situation.” Classic stuff.

But of course! The Zarqawi documents were planted forgeries.

Based upon WHAT evidence? The Bush National Guard memos were debunked within hours once they were posted on the Internet. It has been days now, and THIS is the best the MSM can come up with? Surely, Olbermann didn’t come up with this seditious implication on his own; Rove must’ve put him up to it.

Emergency Photoshop! Tinfoil hats for Gore and Olbermann!

Dave Shay on June 19, 2006 at 10:29 PM

That’s cute.

The two subhumans, among others, whom I loath most in the world are together around the same table, in the same TV screen!!

I’m touched!

I’m speechless!

Kudos MSNBC!

One inane person interviewing another inane person?

An old concept in the ME-TOO-MEDIA.

pocomoco on June 19, 2006 at 10:31 PM

Pardon me..”…their best is pretty good???? I would have to make a small correction to the former VP’s statement..their best is the absolute freakin’ best in the universe, Mr. VIce President. But I guess anyone in the former administration would not know that since there was little or no interaction with the armed forces while that rapist and his hag were the President. If Al Gore is planning on becoming the Commander in Chief any time soon, a small change in attitude would be fitting. Don’t cha’ think…numbskull!

Sandys Beach on June 19, 2006 at 10:36 PM

Now I had to go back and look at it once again….my skin is crawling…

Sandys Beach on June 19, 2006 at 10:39 PM

Talk about the blind leading the blind. Oops! Pardon moi, I mean the visually impaired leading, oh you know the rest.

calnevari on June 19, 2006 at 10:57 PM

Darn it. It is such a torture. You know all along Keith wanted to say that the Zarqawi papers are forgery. Man…he just holed it up until his rectum rupture…..or his brain fart out into Tofu, whatever comes out first…man….it is mean torture…Say it, Keith, speak your freaking mind, will ya? For crying out loud!

easy87us on June 19, 2006 at 11:01 PM

Once again proof the MSM and Liberals like Al Gore’s only goal is to undermine the United States Military!

Brah on June 19, 2006 at 11:08 PM

OMG that was painful to hear. did you notice how it took Gore freakin’ FOREVER to give ANY kind of credit to our soldiers??? and the only thing he could manage to say was they were “pretty good.” i’m going to bed on that one, folks. nighty night.

pullingmyhairout on June 19, 2006 at 11:11 PM

If Tony Snow, OReilly, Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh won’t explain to the people that the war was over long time ago…I am gonna get some Haitians to put a voodoo curse on them that Viagra will not cure.

Please explain to these liberal nuts that a war is an armed conflict between two armed forces representing two sovereign nations and is governed by the Geneva Convention.

IED, sniping, and kidnapping are not considered war. These are terrorism.

easy87us on June 19, 2006 at 11:15 PM

This might sound naive on my part, I don’t know. A couple of days ago it struck me that we aren’t at war in Iraq anymore, we aren’t fighting a war there any longer. We won the war in Iraq. We kicked Saddam’s butt. What we’re doing now is helping protect innocent lives from the Islamic fascists. The war in Iraq is over. The Left is doing a very good job keeping the “War” alive in the minds of Americans.

They’re in “a no-win situation”? Yeah. Right, Al.

Kevin R on June 19, 2006 at 11:24 PM

Yet again the Left and the MSM are franticly trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Can these useful idiots once, just once give the thumbs up on a job well done without sidetracking into defeatist rhetoric…

Terlizzi999 on June 19, 2006 at 11:31 PM

You know, at the begining of the interview during Olbermanns long statement / question, it looked to me like Gore was looking at Olbermann like even he thought Olbermann was starting to sound a little crazy!

EFG on June 19, 2006 at 11:36 PM

This crap is rehearsed before Gore ever goes on.

roninacreage on June 19, 2006 at 11:40 PM

Oblermann and Gore . . . those two leftist morons are beyond laughable.

rplat on June 19, 2006 at 11:44 PM

My days of not taking either of them seriously have certainly reached a middle

Defector01 on June 19, 2006 at 11:49 PM

Whoa! I’m now seeing helpful buttons above to post! BZ

Is it techinically correct to call Krazy Keith MSM?

Or should it be something like ASM (Alternate Stream Media) or SSM (Sub Stream Media)?

rightside on June 20, 2006 at 12:24 AM

The thought that Mr. Gore came dangerously close to being President, and that Mr. Olbermann could have been his press secretary, is frightening even today.

Entelechy on June 20, 2006 at 1:08 AM

I was channel surfing whan I ran across Keith and Al.

Defector, are you a Firefly fan?

violet on June 20, 2006 at 3:06 AM

So who’s this Olberman guy again? Keith who?

violet on June 20, 2006 at 3:07 AM

The inane and insane on an isipid show. Olberman is what they called in the old days a poltroon.

Wil on June 20, 2006 at 7:25 AM

Clever that Zarqawi! He deliberately set himself up to die so he could leave fake documents lying around to fool the stupid Americans. Liberals are so stupid that it almost makes one believe in reverse evolution. Evolving from a liberal to an amoeba is an evolutionary promotion.

MaiDee on June 20, 2006 at 7:33 AM

As he waits for the question to finish, Gore’s shifty eyes and expression makes him look like the someone who can’t be trusted.

His comments about the troops are THE MOST CONDENSENDING FORM against our military.

What Gore is saying is…. “We Support the Troops, even though they’re too stupid to realize they have been mislead by Bush”

If I was in the military – I would hate Gore and resent anyone who agrees with or votes for him.

Richard Davis on June 20, 2006 at 8:05 AM

…but this war is doing more damage to our environment than…..

That would be right on script!!!!

dallas94 on June 20, 2006 at 8:20 AM

Gore really looks as if he’s about to follow Olbermann off the deep end. It seems so diffult for these people to differeniate between their ideology and reality these days. They just seem incapable of uttering anything unless it’s bashing Republicans and conservatives even when something positive happens that benefits not only Americans but the world in general.

Every Democratic and liberal speech, appearance, function or whatever has become nothing more than a chance for these people to get together and drool about how “great” they are and how “evil” republicans are.

The left’s agenda has degraded into “destroy Bush”. That’s all they have. They offer nothing unless it involves destroying Bush and his administration. They’ve turned themselves into the biggest joke around these days and MSNBC is leading the way.

darwin on June 20, 2006 at 8:39 AM

To use a physical observation to make a point, much as the Democrats regularly do, has anyone noticed Al Gore is looking more and more like a potato head? Must be all that home-cooking by Tipper, in between her Tupperware parties.
Or it could be all those ideas he has locked up in his brain are trying to get out. Home cooking is more likely…

clyde on June 20, 2006 at 8:50 AM

Thank God the MSM keeps these morons in total view. The more Gore speaks, the more it proves he should never be President.

As long as the Democrats cart out the likes of Dean, Pelosi, Reid, and of course The murdering drunk Kennedy, the better it is for America. They’ve isolated themselves by only listening to moonbats like KO, and then wonder why they keep losing at the polls. Oh yeah, I forgot we stole the elections in 2000 and 2004.

morons!

Bob Mileti on June 20, 2006 at 8:54 AM

“Democrats will keep clucking – it’s what they do. But as all polls indicate, nobody outside of their core socialist base is listening. When they insist we listen, most of us are either laughing or looking for someone to strangle…”

Actions still mean more than words

Bob Mileti on June 20, 2006 at 9:05 AM

Look at the bright side. At least Olberman didn’t tell him to go f–k his mother or to kill himself.

JammieWearingFool on June 20, 2006 at 9:17 AM

On Zarqawi’s computer and in his files…The difficulty he has going forward with his plans due to the the work done by American troops…

On the DNC’s computer and in their files…The difficulty they have convincing the average American they’re the smart option for the next years in America.

I don’t think either tidbit of information had to be planted to be a fact, do you?

52Ranger on June 20, 2006 at 9:18 AM

Why do conservatives continue to comment on Olbermann? Are we just trying to keep his show alive as an example of the unhinged?

scarchin on June 20, 2006 at 10:01 AM

On the DNC’s computer and in their files…The difficulty they have convincing the average American they’re the smart option for the next years in America.

52Ranger on June 20, 2006 at 9:18 AM

The average Americans are not looking for the smart representatives or party; they are looking for the ones which protect them and let them live the best life possible. The Left’s elitism prevents such comprehension.

Entelechy on June 20, 2006 at 12:16 PM

V.P. Gores 4 months experience as a reporter for Stars and Stripes mag in Vietnam certainly makes him an expert on the “current” military abilities !!

gary on June 20, 2006 at 3:51 PM

One really has to hand it to the Left, they have been consistent since before, during and after 9-11. Granted, Consistently Wrongon everything…but oh well…
