I have a serious case of “Jonesin” for both Ann and Michelle that is in exact opposite correspondence to what I feel for, say, Susan Estrich. All she has to do is open her mouth and the first consonant or vowel that comes forth is cause for nausea. I’m expecting to be offended by her.

The difference that defines the appropriate, measured conservative reaction to words and claims that might offend is that conservatives will look for factual or historical information to use in rebuttal. The PC/Liberal means of response is reactionarily juvenile and intentionally off-point because there is no factual or historical response that negates truth.

What… do the blog’s comments indicate that Jews aren’t procreating? Or that this blog is specifically discouraging them from doing so? I don’t follow.

(If you were a troll, then I would be troll-ba[i]ting. But since it’s darwin that’s the troll ;-), I’m on safe ground here…)

That is your future, and it is karma well deserved. Israel for Jews, America for Christians and Muslims. Christians stay the hell outta Israel.

I am a politically conservertive and practicing jewish man. I really do not see any offense in Ann’s comment. There are so many real antisemitec writings and rantings out there….While I appreciate your comment about “subtelty” in this case that dog won’t hunt..

Let’s have some linguistic fun. Please post your ethnic background and relgion. Let’s push the envelope to where you feel slghted by implied double intenre regarding your the uncouth amongst your heritage. Hey now, we are simply DISCUSSING the existence of the uncouth and creepish amongst your ancestory, and rather than apologize if you feel hurt, let’s discuss the linguistic implications of you have the right to feel insulted, rather than simply apologize for any unintended insult.

The key here is the intent behind the words, not the words themselves. So let’s see if you can walk the talk or just talk the talk .

I agree with the “scorn” description. The questions is whether or not some of it is deserved or not. What are your thoughts?

Fear all you want. Cower and hide your head in the sand all you want. But do not put words in my mouth. My words and actions speak for themselves. You have deemed me an enemy, that is your right and I support it. others will judge me accordingly.

And as I am judged, so shall you be. Your words and actions here speak volumes of your character. That you would slander a person you do not know by fabricating words and deeds are far more damning then anything else.

Go about your life. Be happy. Ignore true evil and focus on the insignificant actions and words of others. Deflect attention from the actual atrocities. Speak from a position of ignorance secure in your personal knowledge that you are safe.
I hope that in your life you never see true evil. That you can tilt at your windmills and think of yourself as a hero, and that you may lay down and die an old man happy in the knowledge that you have lived a good and just life.

As for me, I am an American. I will fight true injustice and evil where I see it, and I will sleep soundly each night in the knowledge that I have done the best that I can to live a good life.

Actually, I’d say the “raghead” comment at CPAC is the best proof on that account. Although I wouldn’t call it hate so much as scorn.

Of course, this is the same woman who has written for Jewish World Review and at one time dated an Arab.

Sorry, but there is no underlying antisemitism here. What you perceive as “the anatomy of antisemitism” by some here and by perhaps Ann is really “indifference”.

IMHO, the problem isn’t the fact that Coulter made the point of using the word “Jewish” in her description of Lewinsky, but rather the thin-skinned people offended by it. You can “choose” to be offended or “choose” not to be offended.

I’ll make a deal with you. I’ll apologize for not being more sensitive when Billy Crystal and Eddie Murphy apologize for their gross characterizations of Jewish Americans. Deal?

BTW, how do you feel about Coulter’s remark about the Episcopal Church when she said, “Howard Dean left the Episcopal Church — which is barely even a church — because his church, in Montpelier, Vermont, would not cede land for a bike path.”

Does this mean she’s anti-Christian as well?

Do I think she’s a Christian? I don’t know. She believes she is. In the end, all that matters is what God thinks. That’s enough for me.
