Coultermania! AC’s latest shockingly vicious mockery of someone’s personal tragedy

Not quite.

Update: Another frequent target of vicious attacks from our moral betters weighs in.

Update: Amazing Larry has more to share with us. Not content to accuse Rove of having driven his mother to suicide, he’s added some new stuff (a) comparing him to Josef Goebbels, (b) calling him fat — twice, for emphasis, (c) reminding us that his mom “would not be proud.” He tosses the “chickenhawk” shit in too for good measure.

Inexplicably, he’s also changed his original smear from “Small wonder his mother killed herself” to “This could help explain why his mother killed herself.” Why? Is this douche so removed from reality that he thinks the new phrasing mitigates it any? It’d be like a mental patient telling you “I went potty in my shoes today,” walking away, then coming back to say, “Actually, I went doody in my shoes today.”

This has to be a lie. We all know that liberals don’t say mean things. Markos “Screw them” Zuniga told me so personally. So did Cindy Sheehan!

They’re all about hugs in the progressive camp. No, I simply can’t believe this story.

Kevin M on June 15, 2006 at 10:23 PM

And they complain about Ann Coulter? My huband asked me when he heard and read some of the comments about Coulter on another site, if perhaps these KosKids are the result of a Nancy Pelosi and Howard Deans “collaboration”…maybe because
they are first, kissing cousins?

I told him naw, I did not know where they came from but maybe from this dude and Pelosi?

It is not to be believed!!!!

sharinlite on June 15, 2006 at 10:36 PM

Ol’ Larry just proved Ann’s “infalability” point once again.

Thanks Larry.

Was that supposed to be the intelligent debate I keep hearing the academics on the left talk about? It seems more than just a little twisted to me.

4thelittleguy on June 15, 2006 at 10:41 PM

There IS no intelligent debate from the left, it has always been an elitist,we know better than you attitude, and now that the Right has communication lines like never before we are putting the light into their little crevices and they don’t like it one little bit.Like rats in the corner, but we have the brooms now.

bbz123 on June 15, 2006 at 10:47 PM

I think Ann should go back to wearing that black dress. She doesn’t look so good in a black suit coat.

GPE on June 15, 2006 at 10:48 PM

To those who would blame Ann for any liberal attack: Stuff you! Liberals had the monopoly on ‘harsh’ attacks [ever hear of Air America?] and today they are just doing their best to prove they continue to rein in that arena, but Coulter has a finesse about her that no liberal can match. Besides, her facts are irrefutable. Leave it to a liberal to resort to sliming someones mother.

Has anyone heard a single liberal whine over being labeled as Godless? I just read where Cigarman agrees with AC, and admits the dem’s sin…

Let them blather away. I have a new book to read. ;o)

DannoJyd on June 15, 2006 at 11:13 PM

I had to clck through to Larry’s site to double check that. Yep, he really said it. Got the screencap.

What a piece of work.

The lunatics are getting desperate. Those studying psychology, wrap it up soon. Major job openings for Nov. 2006.

He couldn’t have been just jealous of Ann. It’s been a great 10 days and he knows it.

Karl is slimmer than Larry now - who is calling whom porky?

Entelechy on June 16, 2006 at 12:14 AM

Reading this kind of tripe only strengthens my belief that we will keep control of the WH and congress.

The 08 election will be about the WOT. Bottom line, the Dems will be on the cut and run side, the Repubs will be on the stay and win side.

rightside on June 16, 2006 at 12:15 AM

You know what pissed me off? It is not the liberals that attacked Ann Coulter. I have expected that and I have accepted that because liberals are liberals. It is those arrogant lost souls like Hugh Hewitt and OReilly who have completely ignored the crudeness and cruelness of the liberals’ attack on conservatives, then suddenly have the gall to jump on high moral ground to attack AnnCoulter, who just happened to speak her mind and the truth as it stands.

When will the conservatives gain some spine to go after the liberals with the vigor and force they have unleashed on Ann Coulter?

OReilly you over hormonized phone addict, are you listening?

easy87us on June 16, 2006 at 12:28 AM

And he’s calling Rove “porcine”?

He looks like a pig that got hit by a bus.

speed647 on June 16, 2006 at 12:36 AM

That is one of the most repulsive things I have ever heard. Seriously, blaming a child for their parent’s suicide is a little outside the rules of fucking engagement.

violet on June 16, 2006 at 12:51 AM

These people are absolute slime. I finished “Godless” the other day, and thought it was great. While AC’s writing style grates on me from time to time, I like her humor and the logic of her arguments. It’s amazing that these dopes are in such a tizzy over what amounts to less than a paragraph in the book. They don’t seem to complain about anything else.

They really have driven over the cliff to call Coulter’s statements vitriolic when you can pick any random post at DU and see that it’s 100 times worse on the other side. They’re just upset that someone figured out their latest best strategy and called them on it.

Ann C on the Hannity show yesterday said that she was getting many Emails from widows of 9-11, and every widow was on her side. This is an old trick of the jack-ass left put up victims to get “us tounged tied”. If the “Jersey Girls” had any decency at all, I mean like just one drop, they would have debateed Ann on Hannity & Colmes, The “Jersey girls” are above this. “It is in honer and memory, that we will once again refoces the Nation’s attention to the real issues at hand: our lack of security, leadership and progress in the five years since 9/11.”. “In honer and memory” of what, of who, their husbands. To use their husbands death to further their left-wing agenda. The “girls” want to “refoces” attention on themselves to be worshiped as Demi-Gods, above reproach. We on the right must bow down to this band of Jersey bull s#@! artists. Ann was right on, Godless is what the Jersey girls are, with their own words and deeds they have proven this. I learned 40 years ago the Demms were Godless. I never needed Ann, or Rush or anyone else too tell me this. Ann, Rush, Michelle puts into words what I have known all along. The Dimmocrap party, the party of slavery, a party of rapeists and thugs, and brownshirts. The Dimmocraps are on a “highway to hell”, and they are in the fast lane.

birdman on June 16, 2006 at 1:17 AM

Ann Coulter just hit the big time.

Thanks to the left-brainers Ann has been Reaganized.

I created that term in honor of the late, great Ronaldus Maximus, (a.k.a Ronald Reagan). When Reagan was elected the left tried to take him out by raging incessantly about his stupid ideas.

As I heard the critics I kept thinking I agree with Reagan, not them. The more they criticized him, the more they insulted me, and the more I liked Reagan. You can’t pay for this, to have your enemies broadcast your message in a way that makes them look bad and you look good.

When the media has a lock, the only way to get your point across the barricades is to trick the media into yelping about your ideas.

Coulter’s enemies have propelled her from a FOX commentator known to the news junkies, to someone more widely known who is saying what lots of folk want to say, with a style that makes her detractors look like blathering idiots. At the same time, she became the underdog.

The press forgot that 911 survivors got big government checks in the mail with the strings attached that if they used their well-paid victimhood for personal or political vendettas they could trigger resentment in the taxpayer, and transferance of empathy to the new victim, Coulter.

Score a big one for Coulter

Where’s better off blue?
He/she jumped on the AC thing pretty quick. But I guess this is OK to better off blue. After all it was a lib that said it.
This is the kinda crap the MSM has been spewing out for 40+ years. AC gets one shot and everyone goes ballistic.

Freakin’ leftards.

Cpilot on June 16, 2006 at 2:36 AM

The left-wing kooks game of putting up victims has backed fired on them. We on the right should fall too our knees and worship the Demi-Gods the left puts in front of us. The “Jersey girls” are the Jersey bull s!@# artists. The girls are using the deaths of their husbands too further their twisted agenda. Liberalism is a Religon unto it self, “Man over God”. I for one will not bow to the alter of liberalism. The liberals are on a “highway to Hell”.

birdman on June 16, 2006 at 2:55 AM

The Left has always screeched that conservatives are “mean-spirited”, yet they say nasty [manure] like this constantly and without apology.

DirkBelig on June 16, 2006 at 3:47 AM

Rove’s plan is working perfectly -
- Ann starts controversy in June

- Liberals seek revenge, go overboard (as usual) and expose themselves as ASSHATS - Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct

- Americans vote for Republicans because Liberals say things that cause divisive Racism, get Troops killed and Blame America - Nov

- Republicans win BIG, Rove lights cigar and thinks “the left is so stupid” - Dec

I love it when a plan comes together.

Richard Davis on June 16, 2006 at 7:07 AM

This jerk just indicted every person who has lost a mother to suicide while characterizing a whole bunch of people who are going to be pissed off at this attack. Democrats prove again they are morons who give no thought to what they say. Ann makes her point extremely well and moves on while these cretins contunue to NOT GET IT! My heart goes out to the Rove family…have no idea when this happened…but this attack is beyond the pale and for anyone to compare it to the Jersey Girls flack is simply ridiclous. Democrats are a vile bunch and cannot debate the issues on their own merits so the personal attacks just fly for the fun of it.
Again…the Rove family has my prayers and this Johnson guy just has my pity. (NOT!)

Sandys Beach on June 16, 2006 at 7:08 AM

The entire lot of these insane, malicious liberals is a gathering and clubhouse of the most despicable human beings on Earth.

Take the “holy, untouchable, sanctified” Jersey girls, for instance, and Ann Coulter’s “attack” upon them. Did you know that these greedy, craven “mourning” women complained when they were offered more than a half million dollars, actually COMPLAINED IT WAS NOT ENOUGH? And they got a lot more. Not mercenary, eh?

Liberals have collectively become the scum of the earth, and know no bounds of decency or behavior. They are, simply put, due to their tactics and deeds, human garbage.

ForYourEdification on June 16, 2006 at 7:28 AM

I used to think liberals are needed in the political arena to balanced the hard right so the moderates will lean back and forth as issues demand.

I do have lots of respect for liberals like Ralph Nader, although I disagree with 90% of what he believes in. I also enjoyed listening to Jerry Brown to go way out of his limb, or way in with Linda. But this is the time when liberals are romantic and erotic.

In past five years, the liberals in this country seem to fall under a spell of the extreme criminal communist make over. Not only they viciously attacked the right for every “mistake” made, but they attacked their own people too. They are like war ants angrily devoured everything in their path. They cunningly derived propaganda scheme using “war Hero”, “dead Husbands and Sons”, and “Racist” as their shield to repel and stifle criticisms. In doing so they garnered themselvs the power to run the Dem party and dictated almost every policy of the party. These liberlas are a group of uncultured mobs with the mission to intimidate and conquer.

In the same time, GOP’s influence reaches un-precedented height, is this a coincidene?

If the Democrats still see these mobs as the future of the party, I feel sorry for them.

Keep it up, Democrats and liberal left. I am expecting the GOP to pick up another 5 seats in the House come November.

easy87us on June 16, 2006 at 9:26 AM

If liberals weren’t hypocritical to their core, they wouldn’t be liberals. Goes with the territory.

As for Coulter: the only thing this controversy has done for me personally is make me an honest-to-God fan of her work. Prior to the recent brouhaha, I hadn’t paid much attention to her. I’d just dismissed her as a rabble rouser, to be honest.

But since the “Jersey Girls” thang started, I’ve taken a good long look at what Coulter actually SAYS rather than the way she says it - and you can call me a fan now. Her ability to trap liberals into revealing their true selves is simply awesome to behold.

Professor Blather on June 16, 2006 at 9:59 AM

Last night on H&C, Ann alluded to what may be the real reason why she is being attacked for her statements about the left’s human shields. She pointed out that these statements were contained in only 4 pages of her book and “…why isn’t anyone discussing the rest of the book?” To paraphrase her - If you didn’t like what was said about the Jersey girls, you’re gonna be really “pissed off” (my words) by the rest. In her book “Treason”, AC explained this typical leftist tactic of taking one word or phrase of an opponent’s arguement, playing it up way beyond it’s value to the original arguement and arousing public outcry or ridicule, to divert attention from the thrust (and true validity of) the original premis. This tactic (according to AC in Treason) was used successfully against Joe McCarthy when he attempted to expose communist infiltration in government. The tactic won’t work this time.

easy87,
Unfortunately, you have to include Hot Air’s own Allah in your list of conservatives attacking Ann. Though I haven’t read “Godless” yet, I have purchased it — silly me, I had it gift wrapped for my daughter’s birthday coming up on June 23rd, and it sits in my office … and I cannot even sneak a peek:( …. I guess a book would be easy enough to rewrap, hmmmm…. Anyway, Ann never accused the Jersey 4 of being responsible for their husband’s deaths, but they accuse the POTUS of killing their husbands or at least their deaths being his fault … and now, lonely larry accusing Karl Rove of being responsible for his mother’s suicide … low.

Anyway, I agree with you in that the left hardly bats an eye at Ann’s comments, because the left is truly vicious, and Ann cannot hold a candle to their meaness.

wytammic on June 16, 2006 at 10:13 AM

What a maroon! Best hope my daughter isn’t reading Hot Air today! If she does … maybe I’ll just have to give it to her early:)

wytammic on June 16, 2006 at 10:15 AM

They’re just so pissed off that Rove will not be indicted. They bet their future’s on it..AND LOST. So the narcissistic f*ckhead cries like a baby and tries to reduce someone else to his pitifully low level on the human scale. But, NO NONE is lower than you Larry Johnson, no one. And nothing can be lower than what you’ve achieved today. It will never be forgotten.
Liberals are with out a God. AC is correct.
Larry Johnson, your 15 minutes are up, lowlife scum.
.
google larry johnson, find scum, lowlife.

shooter on June 16, 2006 at 10:23 AM

The thing that befuddles me is that these morons actually believe they are doing the same thing they accused Ann of doing. What in God’s Name are they thinking here? Actually, the process is like this..when you are losing as badly as the dems are, you simply throw everything out there…SOMETHING is bound to stick. I fully expect to have Carville or Begalla reporting to have PROOF that W is a cross dressing alien from Mars. The idea is that once you put a salient issue before the public eye, you have succesfully installed an idea…one that will always be there…no matter if true or not. This is what the sleasy factor is about…and the dems are masters at it. We, as the intelligent VOTING public, are charged with deciphering what is political garbage and what are the real issues. Unfortunatley, Carville and Begalla have proven to be masters at this tactic…and this Johnson turd just follows orders. Makes one wonder why HIS mother is still hanging around…..(sorry posters,..I could not resist that swipe.)

Sandys Beach on June 16, 2006 at 12:16 PM

Karl Rove couldn’t have dreamed up a better strategy - L. Johnson made a sympathetic figure out of his ‘enemy’.

Remember this Larry-dude next time a liberal tells you how just, understanding, empathetic, human and nice they are.

Entelechy on June 16, 2006 at 2:34 PM

This is despicable. It annoys me that Liberals attack Coulter for what they do all the time. I don’t think any conservative has made such offensive statements as liberals have.

Unless liberals condemn Larry, that have effectively lost all right to complain about Coulter. Jeez.

Muslihoon on June 16, 2006 at 5:50 PM

If this A/H can make a case that somehow Karl Rove is personally benefiting financially, or that he is using the death of his mother to attack Democrats, then I guess he’s got a point. Otherwise, it is a typical despicable comment made by someone on the left. He, and they, deserve every kick in the ***** that Ann gives them.

Khyber Pass on June 16, 2006 at 6:13 PM

At least Ann only flirts with “the line”. The libs cross way over it, and scream when Ann gets too close. Boo-freakin-hoo.

dman on June 16, 2006 at 8:07 PM

To the following comment from Larry Johnson,

Karl is a shameless bastard. Small wonder his mother killed herself. Once she discovered what a despicable soul she had spawned she apparently saw no other way out.

I have only this to say: Ann Coulter calling the four 9/11 women “witches” is not near equivalent. It only approaches equivalency if she says something like:

“The four NJ women are shameless bastards. Small wonder their husbands stayed behind in the towers on 9/11. Evidently they realized what despicable witches they were married to and apparently saw no other way out.”

Ann hasn’t said that yet but if she does, I’ll condemn her as well.
