Carolina Crank

Rachle Lea Hunter is a Democrat running for a North Carolina Supreme Court seat. She goes around calling herself “Madame Justice.” Madame Nutjob might be more appropriate. She goes around sliming everyone she disagrees with. Criticize her and she’ll call you Der Furher, demonstrating an unoriginality in her thinking that would make her the star pupil in most university social science programs. Or on DU, which amounts to the same thing.
The leaders of the state’s Democratic and Republican parties have asked voters not to cast ballots for state Supreme Court candidate Rachel Lea Hunter, whose fiery rhetoric in recent weeks has included comparing the actions of a black congressional candidate to that of a slave.
“She’s unstable and unqualified, and the thought of her serving on the highest court in North Carolina is scary,” state Republican party chairman Ferrell Blount said Tuesday.
Blount’s comments came after Hunter, a former Republican running as a Democrat, used the title “Dur Fuhrer” — commonly associated with Nazi leader Adolf Hitler — when referring to state Democratic party chief Jerry Meek. Such rhetoric led Meek to endorse Republican-backed incumbent Mark Martin in his race with Hunter for a seat on the state’s high court.
Here’s what earned the latest round of criticism fired her way:
Last week, in a post on her Web site, Hunter criticized congressional candidate Vernon Robinson for running for office as a Republican, even though the staunch and outspoken conservative lost his bid for state GOP chair at the party’s convention in 2005.
“Like a good slave, he has returned to the plantation,” Hunter wrote about Robinson, who is black.
Maybe Madame Racist should be her nickname. Or Madame Eschatologist, since she also likens Robinson to the Beast of Revelation.
Can you imagine sharing an office with Hunter?
“Could you pass me the stapler?”
“No. You’re the beast! The Beast!” A barrage of spittle accompanies the tirade.
“Um, ok. Thanks.”

This lady is so far beyond looney. I’m not kidding. In one of the articles Bryan linked, her manager responded to accusations that she was unstable. He stated that she was not looney and that she was standing by, ready to be examined by the finest psychiatrists and mental health technician to prove this point. She would be willing to take any and all necessary mental tests to prove she wasn’t crazy.
Perhaps I should be more of an optimist about this, instead of a pessimist. I shall see the glass here as being half full, instead of half empty.
This Hunter woman isn’t half crazy, she is half sane.

Her manager is also her husband. He should know better…

I’m sure the first thing we’ll hear from the moonbats is that she was a “former” republican. That’ll excuse her behavior in their eyes.

May be some one should remind her that not all liberals can use the word “plantation”.

I also thought I heard the Loony Toons theme when I read about he wacky comments.
Unfreaking believable.

Sure, she’s a “nut job!”
But is Cynthia McKinney, for instance, any less nuts? And oh, by the way, McKinney is still walking around free, even after assaulting a police officer. Would you be?
Seems that voters today vote with their ideological derriers today, not sensibly.

EFG,
It isn’t a matter of the glass being half full or half empty, but whether the lithium inside the glass still has potency.

Well I guess this means she has locked up the endorsement of the Daily Kossack crowd.
LakeRuins on June 14, 2006 at 3:14 PM
No kidding. The state Democrat chairman endorses the GOP candidate? When was the last time anyone saw something like that?
inmanjh on June 14, 2006 at 3:15 PM
Yeah, she just hasn’t been the same since she split with Rod Stewart. Oops, wrong Rachel Hunter. Although she probably THINKS she used to be married to Rod Stewart.
BigOrangeAxe on June 14, 2006 at 5:02 PM
Maybe she thinks she was married to Rod Stewart’s cat. Or parakeet.

Anyone know this idiot’s web site? I need to take a look, since I live in North Carolina. Damn. Not the kind of person that should be NEAR a courthouse, except in chains.
clyde on June 14, 2006 at 5:37 PM
Hey Clyde
Any chance we can bring her before a board of mental health and send her to the Groucho Marx Institute for the Hilariously Insane?

I’ll crack up laughing if she wins. How FUNNY would that be? That means that the dems would vote for her JUST BECAUSE she’s a dem. it’ll just add one more lunatic liberal to the vast list of already crazy democrats.
pullingmyhairout on June 14, 2006 at 6:23 PM
She could win, you know. Nothing the dimmocraps do surprises me anymore. They are insane.
