Video: “Hadji girl”

posted at 4:59 pm on June 13, 2006 by Allahpundit

CAIR shoots, CAIR scores. Judge for yourself.

I captured the video and converted it to a WMV, so if YouTube takes it down again I’ll post my own copy here. (Approval from the boss permitting, of course.)

Update: The BBC reports on the controversy. Strangely, they neglect to mention that the song is a joke.

Update: Michelle e-mails: “I would add that neither the CAIR release nor the BBC story report the full lyrics and the context of the ‘Iraqi civilians’ ambushing the character in the song with AK-47s.” Quite so.

Update: I’m reliably informed that the video was shot at Al-Asad air base (which has a Marine air wing) on March 2nd or 3rd.

Update: I’ve replaced the YouTube video with a cleaner copy that someone was kind enough to e-mail me.

That was fracking hilarious! DURKA DURKA MUHAMMAD JIIIIHAD!

Lets see…….nice muslim girl lures marine into ambush by her brother and father. Doesn’t sound that implausible does it? There’s a few jews who got nailed by honey pots in France that say this is plausible. And what’s so offensive again? I didn’t hear “raghead”, “Camel-Jockey” or “Sand-N****” or anything else offensive.

Defector01 on June 13, 2006 at 5:18 PM

Outstanding!

Oh the dhimmicrats are gonna be up in arms about this!

Boo-Freakin-Hoo!

speed647 on June 13, 2006 at 5:21 PM

Damn those Durkadurkastanis! Although I just love their MiG-15’s with wooden seats.

Tony737 on June 13, 2006 at 5:24 PM

God bless ’em! Hilarious song and a great morale booster for these guys. I hope he gets a record deal.

bambam on June 13, 2006 at 5:30 PM

Not quite sure that CAIR has won here, other than not being told to F-off outright. If it is a Marine, I don’t believe he’s violated any rules, so punishment shouldn’t be in the offing.

Besides, it’s funny. Black humor, yes. So what? You don’t like it, don’t listen to it!

CAIR doesn’t see fit to talk their fellow muslims out of killing each other. The last people in the world who need lectures from the likes of Ibrahim Hooper are the United States Marines.

Rock on, Jarhead!

I am proud to see my fellow Teufelhunden upholding the 11th General Order. Semper Fidelis.

Kid from Brooklyn on June 13, 2006 at 5:46 PM

Yessssssirreeeeeee! This is “highly inappropriate,” alright, and we need ANOTHER investigation.

Let’s see. . . we can get the FBI, CIA, NCIS, NASA, TSA, ICE, Border Patrol, and even the Podunk Hollow police department involved. Maybe even Magnum, P.I. will agree to check out this “horrible affront.”

Liberals, and obviously Muslims, like to dish it out — but they sure can’t take it.

Tough!

Hope it tops the charts on American Idol!

ForYourEdification on June 13, 2006 at 5:54 PM

Liberal objections? No problem, just splatter him with elephant dung and soak him in urine and not only will the NYTimes love him, he can get a grant from the Nat’l Endowment for the Arts.

inmanjh on June 13, 2006 at 5:59 PM

He’s not appearing in this video in a US Military uniform, correct? Perhaps in an olive drab t-shirt without any insignia or rank? Its hard to tell on my connection and at this screen resolution, which is why I’m asking.

If so, I don’t see what the big deal is. I would have a problem with it if he’s in uniform and, unlike the st-st-st-studdering cl-cl-clown, is actually a REAL service member and not some made-up fake.

We see and hear far worse from Muslim cartoon and anti-war protesters when they take to the streets.

Dave Shay on June 13, 2006 at 6:09 PM

CAIR – Hey, isn’t that the organization that was founded by folks known to be in sympathy with organizations that have allegedly taken part in what, some may term as terrorism?
Weren’t there, at one time, questions about the funding of CAIR?

MCPO Airdale on June 13, 2006 at 6:10 PM

This is reality, this is not PC. “Hadji girl I love you any way”, my favorite line in the song. If the libs have their way this jarhead would be in the brig.

birdman on June 13, 2006 at 6:13 PM

Countdown to Better Off Blue coming in here and calling us all hypocrites in 3… 2… 1… :)

By the way, I just read the MSM report on this video. It doesn’t mention an ambush setup at all. The way they depict it is the guy is singing about shooting Iraqis without provocation (no mention of “insurgents” and certainly not “terrorists”) just to get his jollies. Maybe I misread it. Being a low-IQ conservative I’ll probably need to go back and re-read it.

If I cared anything about what the MSM has to say anymore, that is.

Dave Shay on June 13, 2006 at 6:13 PM

Dave Shay: Did I not call it. If the libs have their way this jarhead would be in the brig. “Plain as glass, plastic banana, good time rock & roll, Magget infested left over hippies from the “70’s, you can see right thru them”.

birdman on June 13, 2006 at 6:26 PM

Dave Shay, you are right. Plus, if you look at the Reuters article, it says that

On the video, titled “hadji girl,” a man dressed in an olive-colored T-shirt and long pants sings into a microphone in what seems to be a large room with numerous unseen spectators, with the obscenity-laced lyrics describing encountering an Iraqi woman and her family.

Well, I listened to the song, and I only heard one possible reference to “obsenity.”

At the very end of the song, he appears to sing this as the very last line:

They should have known they were fucking with the Marines

This hardly seems to qualify in any way as a four minute sone filled with “obsenity-laced lyrics.”

I wonder why they always seem to slant the news in a certain way?

Just out of curiosity, who thinks this will get more play in the MSM than the Zarqawi take down?

EFG on June 13, 2006 at 6:47 PM

that was outstanding….of course an investigation will have to be conducted to get to the bottom of this…also sensitivity training must occur…..lol

robo on June 13, 2006 at 6:59 PM

Obscenity laced, what, like Ludacris???
Satire is our last refuge!
Gotta love the Marines.

PS. EFG: I do! I do!

NTWR on June 13, 2006 at 7:08 PM

LOVE THIS SONG!! Good for our Marines! They can shoot AND play guitar. I love that Marine for giving his comrades a few moments of laughter. Good Clean Fun!

(it’s actually a great song! I would pay to see him sing it when he comes home)

He can date any of the women in my family! I’d be proud to call him family.

He’s like the son I never had.

God Bless the Marines!!!
Thank you for killing terrorists for us and play it again!!

Richard Davis on June 13, 2006 at 7:14 PM

It show to tell how dangerous the liberals are…they hold the absolute moral authority and they judge on relative moral principles.

And they have no sense of humor…

easy87us on June 13, 2006 at 7:16 PM

Casey Kasem say’s:

Moving up to #1 on the Armed Forces channel and rising up the billboard charts, and we wanna hear it over and over again!

Kini on June 13, 2006 at 7:29 PM

EFG,

It could very well possibly get more play than the Zarqawi kill.

tommy1 on June 13, 2006 at 7:34 PM

Oh that’s classic! Right outta Team America.
These CAIR clowns are taking themselves WAAAYYYY too seriously.

Iblis on June 13, 2006 at 7:37 PM

Sheesh…

Let me see if I get this right.

That Marine, after a long day of dodging bullets and IEDs in the scorching heat, unwinds with his buddies and a song, a song with some pretty raunchy lyrics.

Am I essentially right here?

And the problem with this is?

Oh, I see. That somebody videotaped it and slapped it up on YouTube. Big, hairy deal. If it wasn’t because of the fact that this isn’t my site and it isn’t my bandwidth, I’d be happy to share some of the songs that we used to sing Over There back during the Cold War. Compared with them, this one sounds like a psalm. Of course, they weren’t videotaped and put up on YouTube, so I guess they never happened.

But hey, let’s by all means waste everybody’s time by trying to teach soldiers not to be soldiers.

The more I see of this hypersensitive bullcrap, the more I realize that Heinlein was on to something.

Misha I on June 13, 2006 at 7:46 PM

The only reason there’s so much “hypersensitive bullshit” going on is because the f.ckin Clinton’s introduced it and forced it on the troops during their reign of terror on the US Military.

I know because I was there during Clinton’s entire 8 years, and they were THE MOST DEMORALIZING YEARS FOR THE MILITARY from 1981 till present… everything became “PC” because of Clinton and his fat-legged thick-ankled wife…

Richard Davis on June 13, 2006 at 8:00 PM

Here’s the sad part, from the misleading al-Reuters article:

The Marine Corps condemned on Tuesday as “clearly inappropriate” a music video purporting to show a Marine strumming a guitar and singing a song about killing Iraqis, to the laughter and cheers of other troops. “We’re looking into it,” [said] Lt. Col. Scott Fazekas, a U.S. Marine Corps spokesman at the Pentagon…

Why is our military being bullied by a terrorist-friendly PR group?? I just don’t get that.

Watching the video and then reading the Reuters article provided the best example of media distortion I’ve seen in a while.

insomni on June 13, 2006 at 8:15 PM

The Marine Corps Band should get sheet music written and arranged for this and play it at the White House during receptions for the Saudis and others of their ilk over Christmas and other appropriate holidays.

clyde on June 13, 2006 at 8:33 PM

Why is it Dave letterman can suggest Ann Coulter needs to spend some time with Oj, or show a graphic of the President’s picture with a rifle target over his face and we’re supposed to accept that it’s just humor while an obvious spoof song is sent up as a serious news story? Doesn’t the double standard ever get old for these people?

austinnelly on June 13, 2006 at 8:48 PM

A: Much ado about nothing: Even trying to put myself in a semi-rational, non-jihadi/fanatic muslim’s sandals there is little there to get upset with. Only a hyperfanatic would really be insulted by this.

B: I think that there is a good chance that this video has been altered: I’ve watched it very closely (I have the copy direct from CAIR), Even allowing for some MAJOR AV sync slippage, I don’t see the mouth movements even remotely matching the audio.

I could be wrong; If the person in the video comes out and says that yeah, it is all real, I’ll stand corrected.

But until then, I’m saying this is a ‘Mapesian creation’ posted on the internet by Lucy Ramirez al Tikriti.

Fake but Accurate?

I don’t even care if it is all true. Blowing off steam after a dangerous patrol surrounded by only your peers with a little humor and a little derision of your ‘enemies’ is common, not only among soldiers, but police, firefighters and even ER Docs and Nurses and anyone in a highly stressful situation, and people say (and sing) things that they would NEVER do in reality.

LegendHasIt on June 13, 2006 at 9:07 PM

clyde – THAT’s funny! lol!

Richard Davis on June 13, 2006 at 9:29 PM

Give that Marine a record deal!

speed647 on June 13, 2006 at 9:36 PM

BTW, you can download and save the vid from the CAIR website.

Thank you CAIR!!!

speed647 on June 13, 2006 at 9:42 PM

LegendHasIt: Half the videos on YouTube have audio that’s out of sync. Are you joking about the video being a fake? If not, I’m afraid you may have absorbed some of the WTC-controlled-demolition logic floating around on the internets.

No excuses are needed for this Marine (assumed). Read what the song is actually about and you’ll see that.

insomni on June 13, 2006 at 9:55 PM

LGF has a version with better audio “syncage”.

insomni on June 13, 2006 at 10:11 PM

I think people are missing the important message of this song. It comes right at the end. “They should have known that they were f’ing with a marine.”

Kevin M on June 14, 2006 at 12:11 AM

To quote the proprietor:

“Boo Freakin’ Hoo”

dung.

Moose Dung on June 14, 2006 at 12:13 AM

Correction. It appears that I wrote in haste when I said the Marine said the word “fuckin'” only once in the song.

It now appears, after watching the new and improved clairity version of the song that he actually sang that word,…TWICE.

Oh the shame. Nonetheless, I still think this is much ado about nothing, and it certainly doesn’t rise to the level of “obsenity laced” as described in the article. Heck, if I wanted something that was really “obsenity laced” I’d put my 50-cent CD into my CD player.

We don’t need no education.
We don’t need no thought control.
No dark sarcasm in Newsrooms.
Hey, Reuters! Leave them Marines alone!

EFG on June 14, 2006 at 1:05 AM

Shoot…..I posted this video months ago.

I laughed, I cried, then I alerted the media ; )

The Ugly American on June 14, 2006 at 2:22 AM

I posted this video about a month back in the comments section. I see it eventually picked up in popularity.

Why is it YouTube feels they need to delete this video, but will leave countless videos of pornography, hate, cursing, and violence. JUST DON’T OFFEND THE GENTLE MUSLIMS.

By the way, the guy had a MySpace account, which I don’t want to post, in hopes the press doesn’t find out who he really is and go after him.

If D.L. Hughley or John Stewart made this, it would be a “laugh riot” and trumpeted by the press.

Vincenzo on June 14, 2006 at 2:38 AM

Too late, they found him. Poor guy will be lambasted for a very long time.

http://www.jdnews.com/SiteProcessor.cfm?Template=/GlobalTemplates/Details.cfm&StoryID=42521&Section=News

I think we all should book his band at gatherings and picnics, and sing along to his hilarious send-ups.

Vincenzo on June 14, 2006 at 2:44 AM

Funny…but I’m watching Patton on FMC right now.

Even during WWII, the media was a royal pain in the ass.

Reagan took a lot of crap about media access during Greneda but dammit if he didn’t have the right idea ; )

The Ugly American on June 14, 2006 at 3:06 AM

Good song. Anyone who doesn’t like it is an idiot. There I said it.

ZRyan on June 14, 2006 at 3:28 AM

I was gonna hold off judgement (or comment) till I saw if for myself.

THAT WAS FUNNY.

venmax on June 14, 2006 at 6:41 AM

That was great! I like how liberal talk show hosts can threaten the presidents life and try and laugh it off as a joke, but freak when some honest Marines blow off a little steam. Hey libs, got a little news for you, you think you got stress sitting in an office lambasting these folks, try living this life for one day…ONE DAY! You will find out what stress is.

jcon96 on June 14, 2006 at 7:05 AM

Wow…impressive! And probably based on a true story. Sure CAIR is objecting…It seems muslims object to humor (and art for that matter) in ANY form…

Joe on June 14, 2006 at 8:22 AM

It was actually a pretty snappy little ditty. When will it air on VH-1?

BelchSpeak on June 14, 2006 at 8:35 AM

Ok. I’m thinking Grammy here. I’d also like to hear a three-word reply to CAIR from the U.S. Marine Corps: “Get over it.”

Even CAIR’s subliminal homophonic use of the word “care” betrays them: it should be a red flag. It is the liberal way: While they portray themselves as the victim and the ones who really “care”, they are in fact only concerned about themselves and play the bully. It’s only a façade. Don’t fall for it.

BNCurtis on June 14, 2006 at 8:41 AM

I’m glad to hear all the right-wing wackjobs think this video (“isolated incident” making American armed forces look bad #4,660) is funny and that we can finally do away with another fraudulent neo-con excuse for going to war: protecting the human rights of Iraqi citizens.

What was the line again….? “Hearts and minds” “We will be greeted as liberators.”

better off blue on June 14, 2006 at 9:13 AM

Yup. great song. I’m all for winning the hearts and minds … of the Marines. I’d rather they keep on doing EXACTLY what they are doing, ridiculing terrorists’ use of women and children as shields, pointing out the terrorists sneaking up and stabbing their liberators in the back through our own MSM, and generally flashing the insurgents’ asses on international TV by exposing how truly evil and depraved they are, than for the Marine Corps to give in and administer ANY discipline to this gent or his buddies. Keep up the good work, son. Your picture is on the piano at home.

I realize the bad press comes at a bad time. But the USMC would do more to help itself and the country if it stood by its troops and supported them against the stupidity of the MSM.

better off blue must have been asleep for 18 hrs. But I reckon even when he’s late, he still has something silly to say.

What a GREAT song! F*ck ’em if they can’t take a joke.

BrunoMitchell on June 14, 2006 at 10:05 AM

BTW, I only say the above because the MSM continues to try and mislead people by conveniently omitting the beginning of the song’s lyrics and just picking up where he blows them away – neglecting their opening fire on him first, of course.

BrunoMitchell on June 14, 2006 at 10:07 AM

Who violated whose rights, blue? Who failed to protect whose rights?

Lastly, are you ever going to answer a question posed to you, or are you forever spew and run?

Pablo on June 14, 2006 at 10:40 AM

Go easy on better off blue. The Leftist Lunatic Fringe has had a tough few weeks and he’s responding the only way he knows, by ratcheting up the hyperbole.

I think it’s perfect for Current, Al Gore’s little network of America’s Liberal Home Videos. Anyone can send stuff in-the singer should send his video to Current and see how quickly it’s rejected. I’ve tried to find ratings for the cable networks, to see where Current falls on the list. Down towards the bottom, I’m assuming, as I doubt anyone really wants to watch that crap, except the ones who send stuff in.

Leiren on June 14, 2006 at 1:39 PM

More laughs than SNL has offered in years.

Hening on June 14, 2006 at 6:06 PM

I think the song is sort of sad because it shows the kind of warfare our military is having to put up with. A little girl lures him to her house so her family can kill him. In their bloodlust to get the soldier, they kill their daughter whom they probably didn’t find valuable anyway. What’s a soldier to do except try to ease the tension with a song. CAIR needs to get over itself.

RepJ on June 14, 2006 at 7:58 PM

I had a rough day. Damn wetbacks all over the roads driving just as well as any other day they cause accidents, traffic and continuous hair loss.

Then I signed on and saw this jarhead singin’ a little diddy for his buddies. What a terrific day it turned out to be.

Come home safe boys and keep up the good work. You never fail to make us proud.
