Breaking: Majority of CU committee members recommend firing Churchill

Last month, the investigative arm of the university’s Standing Committee on Research found him guilty of misconduct, but only one of its five members recommended dismissal. Today the full Standing Committee issued its verdict — and of the 11 members, six want him canned.

The recommendation from the Standing Committee on Research Misconduct will now be sent to interim provost Susan Avery and Todd Gleeson, dean of the college of arts and sciences.
Avery and Gleeson then will make separate recommendations to interim Chancellor Phil DiStefano, who will have the final say on whether Churchill should be fired.

The verdict is actually more unanimous than it sounds. It was reported that 6 out of 11 on the committe voted to fire him. But a closer read tells you that out of the 11 members, one was absent, and one is a non-voting member.
So the vote could also be discribed as 6 out of 9 voted for firing him.
66%. Not too shabby.

Churchill’s regurgitations, while seen by the left as “free speech,” are instead vile, hateful, toxins spewed by yet another disturbed member of the nation’s “elite academia.” No WONDER these professors of hate are seen as despicable scum.
According to Churchill, the 9-11 victims were “little Eichmans.” He deserves to take his rightful place — at the very bottom of the pile of human garbage called the loony left. Firing and humiliation are appropriate punishment, albeit the least he deserves for actions and speech so hatefully callous and beastly.
Churchill’s downfall and disgrace cannot come too soon.

These professors aren’t stupid.
Even if he is guitly and they should fire him, doing so sets a dangerous precedent for them to also be fires should they step out of line.
Why would they want to set such a precedent?
Professional Ethics, maybe?… or is it, really, that solid professional ethics no longer embraced as widely in academia as it used to be?

As for tenure, there should be no such thing in academia. Universities are like the U.S. Post Office. You can get hired, but never fired.

What about the Professors Committee that hired him in the first place?
They should be fired for failing to uphold the standards of the college and willful failure to do a proper background on his credentials.
