Lots of clay pigeons in the air tonight on the Factor, but fortunately the boss brought her shotgun.

Yup. Kos is forgiven because he was unknown at the time and that time was long ago.Ann is more well known so she should take heat. What utter BS.

bbz123 on June 12, 2006 at 9:53 PM

Thanks for posting the video.

Michelle did her usual great job. If anything she is getting even better at her debate and presentation skills.

I was afraid she was going to be a little harsher on Coulter than she was. O’Reilly seemed a little disappointed that he couldn’t get a good cat fight started on his show.

LegendHasIt on June 12, 2006 at 9:56 PM

Wow Michelle – you really hit it out of the park tonight! Grand Slam!

You hit every point and clearly defeated the liberal and make her look like a 2nd grader, her aurgument that Guatanomo should be closed down and is a torture palace was ridiculous.

You had facts, the left has hate for America and the troops mission, and wants us to lose this war.

Richard Davis on June 12, 2006 at 10:01 PM

If more libs were as calm and logical as the dem on this show the republicans would be in real trouble.

Fortunately, this lady is just about . . . alone.

Labamigo on June 12, 2006 at 10:22 PM

Gitmo terrorists doing self martyrdom.

“Boo friggin’ hoo”. Well said….

Cheaper than dropping five hundred pound, laser guided bombs on them

Hening on June 12, 2006 at 10:39 PM

I still can’t believe so many people would sell there country down the river because they didn’t like the results of an election. This is all 90% because the left doesn’t like the messanger to a great undertaking. It is brutal, but what planet are we living on?

tomas on June 12, 2006 at 11:11 PM

Great job Michelle. Boo friggin hoo is my sentiments also. I was thinking, Alzaqueri liked bombs so much and look what a nice couple he got in the end. Iran wants some bombs too…mmmmmmm

Volpe on June 12, 2006 at 11:59 PM

There is one undeniable fact…immediately after the announcement of Zarqawi’s death, the MSM trotted out Micheal Berg.
Now come on people AC, nailed it.

Michelle Malkin of course did a spot on interview. The big “O” needs to give her more time IMO though to finish the points she’s trying to make.
When is Michelle going to get a segment of her own?

Cpilot on June 13, 2006 at 12:01 AM

Segment of her own????

How about she take O’Reilly’s whole show? Or that boring and useless one that follows H&C?

Or how about a thinking person’s version of “The View” with Michelle, Ann C., Laura Ingram and Clarice Feldman (I don’t know if Clarice has that ‘Q factor for TV’, but she is a dang good reporter and thinker.).

Now that would be “Must See TV”.

LegendHasIt on June 13, 2006 at 12:15 AM

Michelle makes great points as always. Now I just want to see Michelle do a Vent featuring Ann’s new book. The story is popular enough and I am surprised that Ann has not been a topic of Vent as of yet.

cmc on June 13, 2006 at 1:11 AM

I dearly love seeing Michelle on TV; she has the knack for making the complex understandable as it pertains to our conservative philosophy. However, at the very beginning of the segment on Ann Coulter, I think Michelle fell into a liberal trap and misquoted Ann. Nowhere has Coulter said that the Jersey girls are enjoying their husbands’ deaths. Rather, they are enjoying the spotlight and reveling in the notoriety afforded by the liberals and the mainstream media which came about solely as a result of their husbands’ deaths. That is an extremely important distinction that cannot be overlooked if one is to understand Coulter’s message, i.e., that liberals confer victim infallibility as a tactic to stifle political speech from conservatives. The theory is that no one dare criticize a “victim” grieving the loss of a family member regardless of how outrageous their political rhetoric may be. In addition to the Jersey girls, Berg and Sheehan are shining examples of Coulter’s assertion. She is absolutely right and we cannot ignore the ultimate issue of liberal political strategy that attempts to silence political debate and conservative ideas. The fact that the Jersey girls’ husbands died in the World Trade Center makes them no more experts on terrorism than my wife’s death in childbirth makes me an obstetrician. And if you think that Coulter isn’t serious about her theory and rhetoric, then you don’t understand the issue.

Boo-Freaking-Hoo! I love it!

Great segment Michelle. Well spoken, concise, and right on the money.

speed647 on June 13, 2006 at 2:06 AM

BOR is just that, BORING!!!

He simiply looks out for his own wallet. He obviously has a problem with strong women like Ann Coulter. She cleans his clock every time she is on his show.

Michelle, you were great tonight. I too wouldn’t say things like Ann does, but what she says and how she says it isn’t half as bad as what the left continues to say about the right.

I’d like to see Fox dump O’Reilly and replace him with a good interviewer.

LewWaters on June 13, 2006 at 2:14 AM

And she’s cute!

Which never hurts ratings.

Mortis on June 13, 2006 at 2:38 AM

Seems clear to me that Bill doesn’t dare let Michelle steal the spotlight..HE is the King of HIS show, afterall…

Ben Here on June 13, 2006 at 2:41 AM

Michelle was on top of her game as uaual. Class. “Boo-Freaking-Hoo”?

birdman on June 13, 2006 at 3:26 AM

That’s right…Boo-Freakin-Hoo….about all those detainees at Gitmo deserve…can’t we get what we need from these people and clean that place out?

jcon96 on June 13, 2006 at 7:21 AM

Ann Coulter has the courage to poke a hole through the Demo’s “shield” tactics. Her act has drawn in many criticism but her courage has paid off handsomely both financially and mainly politcally. From now on people will pay attention to the Demos after Ann completely disarmed them from using the “human tragedy shield”, “war hero shield”, and “race shield” again in political argument.

You may say whatever you want to say to dignify yourselves by criticizing Ann for over the board argument, but I deeply appreciately what Ann has done for the TRUTH!

In middle ages, the Inquisition of Political Correctness and Quasi Moral Supremacy Liberals would have burnt her on a stick. But they are still trying.

Freedom….is….for…everyone, not just for the widows.

easy87us on June 13, 2006 at 8:33 AM

In this trying time, Allah, Michelle, Oreilly and many other show signs of weakness in defending Ann. The first things come to their mind…is…”well…Ann is sure over the board…she should…”, but not Ann’s right to free speech.
Making a moral judgement instead of the quality of truthfulness is the first sign of weakness.

In fact, Ann should do what she should do. we can disagree with her, but we must defend her right in full force because we are conservatives and we have our roots in the constitution!

These weaknesses in defending Ann…IS THE BASIC ROOT CAUSE FOR THE EXISTENCE OF RINOs!

Let weak conservatives beware.

easy87us on June 13, 2006 at 8:38 AM

Oh come on easy87, Ann was over the top! No one enjoys the death of a spouse unless, of course, you suffer from Robertblakeism.

However, when one revels in the celebrity status the death of a loved one may bring and clearly uses that status to further ingratiate themselves (like riding the red carpet and waving to the assembled moonbats), then they should be drawn and quartered.

So, Ann either simply misspoke (miswrote) or clearly left the red meat in her book to promote controversy. I for one think she is far too intelligent to misspeak, so I’m going with the latter! And if I’m correct, she’s then equally guilty of the same offense as the “Jersey Girls” if not more so!

PS, I’m with Mortis! Michelle, please say “Boo friggin’ hoo” again! Only please pout a little when you do!

Dread Pirate Roberts VI on June 13, 2006 at 8:51 AM

Dread…your criticism is valid. I have never denied that. But Ann has the right to say what she say.

“Enjoy”…yep…over the board, but a very accurate description.

That is my opinion.

I also defended the rights of Cindy Sheehan for making those “outrageous” statement too. Did I tell the board to leave her alone?

Now learn what freedom of speech is all about. I don’t make moral argument because everyone’s moral standard is different. Liberals tried to make an emotional moral argument based on a filmsy slippery moral ground they are standing on.

I just make argument based on our constitution.

easy87us on June 13, 2006 at 9:14 AM

Great interview last night Michelle. Your energy level is amazing. That other lady looked like she was coming off a 3 day bender; she barely moved and I could hardly hear her. Michelle looked like she was ready to come up out of the chair. I also notice Bill has a hard time talking over her. How rare is is that? :) If you ever decide to go to the bigtime, ie, the release of the Michelle Malkin Motivational Figure, please include, ‘Boo Friggin Hoo’ as one of the pithy sayings.

austinnelly on June 13, 2006 at 9:19 AM

“Boo Friggin Hoo” is my battle cry for the day!!! thanks, Michelle!

:-)

Brian on June 13, 2006 at 10:13 AM

That was absolutely brilliant. “Boo-freakin-hoo” is the quote of the year.

I fully agree that the Constitution gives each of us the right to make fools of ourselves any damn time we please. But, I have a real problem with someone making a living being outrageous at my expense or at the expense of a cause in which I believe.

This is serious stuff and, while she espouses conservative values, Ann Coulter does not speak for me, yet the Has Been Media (HAB) makes her out to be the Goddess of Conservatism and uses what she says to cause us all to look foolish, cold-hearted, uncaring, or mean spirited.

Look! I sincerely believe that those in the HSB are so insecure that they will continually try to look for and appoint LEADERS for every group! For example, I work with many African-Americans and I’ve often asked them if they consider Jessie or Al or any of that ilk their LEADER! I have never heard anything but a resounding NO! While they may appreciate what they say or what they stand for, none of them look upon them as leaders of the Black Community, whatever the hell that is!!!

So the HSB paints Ann as a leader, if you will, in the conservative movement and then uses what outlandish comments she makes to enrich herself to our disadvantage and some blindly support her! Well, that just ticks me off!

I’m sorry, but for my money, the Goddess of Conservatism title, if there were such a thing, would currently belong to MM! She’s earned it and I don’t believe that Legs Coulter, in that ever-present little black dress, has by any stretch of the imagination.

Lastly, let me be clear! The Pirate sails his ship Self-Centered before his own wind and sets his course based on his beliefs, on what’s good for him, on what’s good for his children, and the rest be damned! Arrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Dread Pirate Roberts VI on June 13, 2006 at 10:27 AM

Ann Colter has nothing to apologize for and I am sick and tired of Bill O’Reilly telling me what is acceptable speech. The former school teacher thinks he is the arbitrator of acceptable speech and labels Ann a bomb thrower and Idealog.

What is in the water inside the Beltway?

The disease is called Political Correctness and all of the MSM media pundits have it. That is why they despise Ann Coulter.

ScottyDog on June 13, 2006 at 10:52 AM

Dread, use your right…not buying Ann’s book!

Here is a little secret of mine…I plan to just read her book in a Barnes and Noble store where I can have a cup of nice coffee and read everything for free.

The issue here is..if you have read my posts…whether Ann should apologize? I said “NO”, NO WAY JOSE!

Neither should Cindy Sheehan, Barbra Striesand, nor anyone.

You see, I don’t want to see anyone in this country being pushed back or intimidated that they cannot make a statement without being forced to change their statement or to apologize!

I sincerely hope everyone who read my posts get the essence of what I am trying to say.

No matter how repugnant is someone’s statement, it is their right to say what they want to say. We reserve the right to comment, not the right to force them to apologize or change their statement.

That, my friend, is the spirit of the First Amendment.

easy87us on June 13, 2006 at 11:19 AM

It just shows the devide between John Q. Public and the MSM. How do they make any money being so far off the public mark? Either there are real opportunities in the news business, or there a lot of dead heads out there.

Shmo on June 13, 2006 at 11:21 AM

Easy! You nailed it when you said,

“In middle ages, the Inquisition of Political Correctness and Quasi Moral Supremacy Liberals would have burnt her on a stick.”

The sad fact is, they would do EXACTLY that right now IF they thought they could get away with it!

The “Inquisition” isn’t gone, IT LIVES in the hearts of lying liberal democrats TODAY!

NRA4Freedom on June 13, 2006 at 11:24 AM

I saw this one on TV for real, and I had to admit I was more impressed than I expected to be… with Kirstin. Michelle as usual was pretty close to on the mark and an all-round stand-up gal with mostly reasonable points, except for her being a nut about Coulter. Guess even the smart ones still have their moments of stupidity. Kirstin is still an idiot, but at least she is honest and smart enough to realize that bashing Coulter for being right is a moronic proposition.

RobertHuntingdon on June 13, 2006 at 12:04 PM

Michelle did a fine job, as always, especially when she displays her passion.

Ann’s phrasiology can go over the edge at times (as I understand the way she puts things at time), but Michelle did good in coming to Ann’s rescue. Ann has nothing to apologize for, especially if she is being misquoted. The best thing is to read Ann’s book and decide for ourselves.

Regarding Kirsten, it is as I said a month ago. She has polished her debate techniques (in fact, quite a few liberal/Dem women debators have)to be a thoughtful, pleasantly disagreeable/agreeable, smiling, quiet humored, logical person. The days of the shrieking, panic driven, desparate Dems when it comes to debates and speech making might be over.

BTW-Michelle, why do you only debate Kirsten? Why not debate other people? Is this some type of contractual agreement you have as a Fox News Contributor?

The False Dervish on June 13, 2006 at 2:51 PM

so what if michelle didnt agree 100% with what or how ann said something, they both are great in their own right but
Michelle is by far the best, and for those who didnt like her response i can only say three little words “boo-freaking-ho”

mike hale on June 13, 2006 at 5:31 PM

Hi Dread & wanted to follow up on this point, which I agree with in principle:

No one enjoys the death of a spouse unless…

True enough – so it’s important to reiterate that Coulter didn’t say this, nor did she imply it.

She said not that they enjoyed the death of their spouses, but “only” that they’re having fun now because of the way their spouses died [then].

Which is either a true (or false) statement, depending on whether they’re having any discernable fun (or not) in their new roles…

RD on June 13, 2006 at 10:59 PM

fwiw I agree about Kirsten. The best thing she did for herself was simply to not defend the indefensible. After O’Reilly made the case that the torture allegations were baseless, she conceded the point, sticking only with the issue of “appearances” (which opens you up to “victimhood fraud” of all kinds, as we well know)…

RD on June 13, 2006 at 11:20 PM

Ann was one of the very few conservatives (to the best of my recollection) who was upset at Rove’s tactics in 2004, even though we won the majorities. She could turn out to have been very, very prescient about that. I have no problem with Ann’s occasional “overstep”, though to me it always sounds like she just speaks the truth in unvarnished terms, and most people aren’t use to that. The last thing we need now is rifts between our best culture warriors.

Halley on November 14, 2006 at 9:34 AM

Kos is an old fashioned pamphleteering marxist, with a huge modern, hightech blog. He wants to be the next Lenin, or maybe Stalin. Watch his face when he is caught on video. It’s creepy. He has belief, with the necessary hypocrisy.

I think he would be up for an old fashioned purge of the politically unfit. By fire and sword. Imagine him having political authority, and goons to physically carry out his wishes. Imagine your kids living there.
