I think the Executive Order banning assassination should be rescinded.
Then the President & the Pentagon would have another weapon to brandish- to give those scum suckers something else to think about. For all their talk of martyrdom, the likes of Bin Laden are damn careful to get others to do the dying while preserving their own skins.

Newsweek’s article, Death of a Terrorist, ends with this:

Are they serious? Can this be real? Are they really yearning for those days? If we wouldn’t have had that abhorring order, we might have avoided many, many terrorist attacks leading to 9/11 and who knows what that might have avoided?

“Muttering prayers?” How do they know that? Did I miss something in the news? Last I knew, Zman muttered something unintelligible. But maybe Newsweek speaks unintelligible and can translate.

And what’s up with that ending prose? Is Danielle Steel ghost writing for Newsweek now? Someone please tell Evan Thomas and Rod Nordland to put the novel they are working on back in the desk drawer when doing their day job of reporting the news.
