VDH: Just like Vietnam

Our negotiations with Iran, he means. Not Iraq.
Drudge leads today with the AP’s article on Iran restarting enrichment. Skip it. It leaves out half the story. Iranmania has the full rundown, including a laundry list of examples of Iranian noncompliance plus the fact that the latest IAEA report detected new traces of highly-enriched uranium (the kind you need for nuclear weapons, not nuclear energy) on Iran’s equipment. The author says the HEU might have already been on the equipment when Iran purchased it. So the question you have to ask yourself vis-a-vis not assuming the worst is, do you feel lucky?
Well, do you? Punks?
Note that they restarted enrichment on the very day we made our concessions to negotiation. In hindsight, Bush’s gambit nuclear equipment looks shrewd, albeit very risky: if you’re sure Iran won’t take the deal, if you’re sure they’re so invested in defying the west that they’ll reject anything you put on the table (instead of accepting it, appearing conciliatory, and continuing their bomb-making project in secret), then why not offer the moon and the stars? Their recalcitrance makes us look that much more reasonable by comparison, a fact we can exploit diplomatically later when things finally come to a head.
But read Iranmania. They’ll catch you up.

The questions remain un answered are…
(1) Who sold them the equipments?
(2) when were these equipment shipped to them?
You may stop Iran today but you won’t stop Sudan tomorrow, or Syria, of Samolia…..

Don’t worry. Something tells me Israel won’t wait as long as the United States, nor give a royal damn what the world thinks when it bombs hell out of Iraq’s nuke plant. Ahh, yes, the 13th century meets the 21st. Couldn’t happen to nicer guys.

I say let them build their weapons. Let them make a nuke. They are a sovereign nation. We didn’t overcome the USSR by negotiating. We damn sure didn’t help them make their weapons. They knew we had the balls to blow their a$$es off the planet if they fired first. We cannot use the UN, they suck! We need no negotiations. Iran needs to know that if they fire a weapon on us or our friends, we will turn them into a country under glass. That is the ONLY way to achieve peace.
Your children will never shut up if all you ever do is talk. Sometimes it takes a belt to really let them know you mean business. It’s time to stop threatening radical Islamists with time-outs and take them to the wood shed.

I believe our true enemies are those who hide behind the Muslims but keep on instigate them to fight us.
Our enemies are the one who sold them the equipment and taught them how to make a bomb.
Our enemies could include Russia, France, and may even include Germany(they did sell a lot of chemical equipment to Saddam/Iraq).
Soon some ones will expose these counties big time.

Those nut jobs over there are too far-gone to be rational. They will build a bomb and we will let them. We will also be spending billions in our “military industrial complex” to find a way to mitigate the consequences of them allowing one to be employed.
Once the toothpaste was out of the tube in Korea and Pakistan, the die was cast. Lets hope the Islamic government in Iran will run it’s course and be gone before they have the means to really screw the world up and kill millions.

Here’s an idea: two birds, one stone.
Bird one: Iran’s nukes
Bird two: global warming
Stone: nuclear winter
Take out Iran with nukes and you get:
global warming – nuclear winter = San Diego weather for all!

I agree 100%, BUT…..When it happens, and it will, We will never respond in kind. We do not have the will, the hardness, the GUTS to fight fire with greater fire. IMO, only Israel has balls big enough to do what must be done. They KNOW what monsters we’re up against…the true face of islime.

Israel may or may not have the stones to nuke Iran. Unfortunately, it’s not germane. They don’t have the wherewithal to take out the underground bunkers the Iranians have built, only we have that type of weaponry. Don’t dispair yet–negotiations are usually rocky. Thank God we have Rice at the helm on this one, not the Cheney/Rummy fuckup twins.
