I know you are, but what am I?

Just kidding!

Who of us hasn’t been tempted to resort to blurting out invective? I volunteered for Bush Sr’s re-election campaign in my state and when Bush Sr. gave his concession speech I choked up and the local TV cameras there caught me; I found out the next morning that at least half of my co-workers had seen me on TV. I was tired, I was bummed, and when one guy walked in he couldn’t resist, stood in front of my desk, pointed at me and laughed, “Haha, you lost! Bush lost!”. I was tempted to get rude and didn’t. He did this off an on all day, with other people chuckling and nodding as he did so. It wouldn’t do any good to get personal, and so I didn’t, but I admit I was tempted and it was hard to resist.

But Republicans don’t stoop to that. You argue pointedly, you know when you’re about to lose a friend if you go further and you don’t give in and proceed with the tongue lashing that would most likely make them go home and cry. Sometimes it’s hard, especially when you see people cheering because, let’s say, President Reagan is at death’s door with Alzheimer’s and people think he deserves it. You try to keep the name calling to a minimum and the issues in the forefront, and hope people with a modicum of wisdom will one day see the light. Occasionally you get critical and adamant, or push, and you have no problems calling ANSWER, well Communist. A spade is a spade, after all.

The Krazy Kos Kidz have no such governor; they are comfortable in their arrogance and in the supreme superiority of their point of view, so anyone who is a dissenter DESERVES the hateful namecalling, the unwarranted comparisons to murderous dictators and the effigies. Since you’re too stupid to believe us, is their mantra, you don’t deserve to be treated with any decency. So all the stops are out, BusHitler, murderer, baby killer, etc etc. I wouldn’t mind so much if after they yelled “BUSHITLER!” they would explain why the comparison- to them- seemed so apt and listen to my disagreement, but it never goes that way. It’s hit and run politics, and like so many things with our party, I wish our elected officials confronted this more head-on instead of just ignoring it. Make these jackanapes defend it.

The Kos Kidz get away with it, because you can see some of their own talking heads getting away with it, like Carville and Olbermann. We need to challenge them more and use Michelle and Ann as our guides; they don’t let anyone get away with that crap! =)

The left is growing in the irrational segment, and shrinking in the rational segment. To please their constituents, the Demos are leaning more and more to the left.

The momentum is here to stay.The conservatives are winning not because we have made any changes to our platform. We are winning because the rational Demos have become Independent and vote Republican!

The DNC is unable to change and they are unwilling to change. When almost all their money is coming from Lewis and Soros, as I said before, they better accept the “we pay you we own you”…situation.

It would be refreshing if this ultimately results in the lefties actually debating the issues instead of spewing vitriol, assuming that they can ever put together a coherent message other than Bush Lied etc. That way we can whip their butts like grown-ups instead of just rolling our eyes and shaking our heads.

Its been a loooong week. It seems even longer since I’m moving from one schedule, where I could get up at 10, get dressed and still make it to school by 11:30, to a new schedule where I have to……

Are they trying to steal the conservative kids clean image? I guess they have tried with the Mento Bunch. Too bad the T-Shirt girl ruined it.

The writing here though is a bit “Stream of Consciousness” though if you get my meaning. It’s kind of hard to tell where you are exactly you are at the conference and/or who’s speaking when.

Just a wee bit of constructive criticism…

Er, I wasn’t saying anybody’s a Nazi. I was saying that instead of assuming everybody she disagrees with is a Nazi, this young woman at least left an element of doubt. Which is a good first step. It was a joke at her expense. HTH.
