When the Dhimmicrats said the GOP wanted the elderly to eat dog food, we withered. Whenever the GOP are attacked for ‘giving tax breaks to the uber wealthy’ they don’t say “look, back off, the top 25% of taxpayers pay over 85% of the taxes and they don’t take crap from the system”. When Bush traveled to support SS reform his arguments and talks were anemic at best.

There’s a difference between being hateful, and firm/hard. Sometimes, however, a little bit of a blunt instrument upside the head is required and Ann swung the clue bat.

Look at the way the Dhimmi’s used Max Cleland to deliver a message to the Preseident while Cindy Sheeeeeeeethan was camping in Crawford; the MSM was aghast that the President didn’t fall over himself scampering out of his house in order to meet Cleland and receive the letter. I don’t know TOO much about the ‘East Brunswick 4′ but I understand Ann’s point and agree completely. On a larger scale, Democrats- and RINOs- use this tack- ‘I’m a politician, I know best, don’t question me’. The majority of us who tried to get through to our Senators during the immigration bill debate encountered this as well; the supercilious attitude, the sense that our elected officials, by mere virtue of being elected, are somehow superior, more educated than us and generally are above reproach.

It has to stop, as it is the genesis for the disconnect in the Republican party. Being honest and driven by principles is a defensible position; forgetting that you are part of a party that supposedly prides itself on doing the right thing- regardless of the slings and arrows- is inexcusable.

She could have chosen another one – she could have been polite – she could have sugar-coated it.

But there is no word better than “enjoy” to describe what these women are doing. They were partisans prior to 9/11; they have reveled in their celebrity; they have made exactly zero attempt to actually blame the perpetrators of the attacks; they’ve become wealthy; some have re-married; and any objective observation sure as hell makes it LOOK like they’re enjoying themselves.

It was the right word. They have endlessly enjoyed, if not their husbands’ deaths, the celebrity that those deaths brought. And the money. And the prestige.

Coulter is right. The truth is ugly – but accurate.

If you want to condemn Coulter, condemn her for being politically unwise in making such a charged statement (although it’s going to sell lots of books).

But don’t pretend she’s wrong. Just admit that you don’t like the truth very much.

Ann Coulter is at it again, and as always is outstanding in her self defined roll….

And on and on it goes…Can’t wait for other ideas from my witty fellows on this board. One even enjoys the occasional drifter from the left.

Blogmasters, from both sides, have a silent love-fest among themselves and support each other. Can’t blame them.

Yeah, Mr. Berg’s comments will really put him over the top now. He’s running for office.

Let’s see if the MSM keep Ann or Zarqawi as the top story.

I know where you are comming from, and I associate with the actions of President Bush. He too tried to see things from the liberal point of view, and look where his poll numbers are today.

We conservatives do prefer debating ideas, but did you ever see a liberal able to do that for long? The usuall retort is to label us with racist, bigot, homophobe, or worse, and the reason for that is liberals cannot sell liberalsim to Americans. We don’t like it, don’t want it, and we clearly see the flaws of liberalism when applied to the real World.

I cannot count the number of times I’ve quoted Ann, nor the number of times I was disappointed by her collumns. Either way, I support her right to speak out, and therein lays the real bone of contention. Liberals demand that free speech be limited to just liberal inanities. Well, Stuff them, and as for the Jersey Girls, Cindy Sheehan, Murtha, and the rest of liberal losers, Stuff Them Too!

My advice to liberal politicians is to quit hiding in the shadows, and to run on what they really believe. Come on Libs! Share your experiences, bravery and heroic stances. Run on your I Hate Bush theme, and try to sell your notion of impeaching the President. What are you afraid of?

Ok. I admit to being a conservative, so I guess I am a mean spirited racist, bigoted homophobe. I don’t mind. Feel free to call me names. That only serves to guarentee that I will vote against Your causes every single time, and I will continue to do so in a very public manner. I’m not too suprised to find many others following my fine example example. ;o)

- Coulter – a covert soldier for Rove, the left’s Michael Moore, makes a couple controversial statements that the left feels are outrageous and insensitive – June…
- The Left gets incensed and enraged – decides “if she’s gonna say THAT” – (it stews for weeks).
- The Left’s biggest hitters feels anything, any comment is fair game and JUSTIFIED (Dean, Gore, Pelosi, Harry Belifonte, Jimmy Carter, Michael Moore, The Kennedys, Ward Churchill, Whoopi Goldberg, Kerry, Billary, Jesse J, Al Sharpton, Farakan, Harry Reid, etc etc) – the barrage is endless and quite outrageous – Aug, Sept, Oct
- The Left exposes themselves for what they are
- The Right gets fired up – record voter turnout, we win. – Nov
- Rove lights cigar, smiles and thinks “the left is so stupid” – Dec

(remember – what Coulter says won’t hurt us. What the Jersey Girls said – hurts our war effort and GETS OUR TROOPS KILLED!!!)

Ann has more guts than all of her critics (both right and left) combined. Someone had to say it, and someone had to say it provacatively, knowing that they were going to take a lot of arrows. Ann did just that, and she’s not whining about

Was her criticism a little too personal? Perhaps. Over the line? Maybe. But in the end it got people to wake up and realize that the Jersey girls are nothing more than a bunch of attention-whoring Sheehanoids who truly are exploiting their own husbands death. And I’d say that exploiting the death of one of your loved ones for a political agenda (Wellstone funeral, anyone?) is far more unseemly than Ann’s drawing attention to it with some harsh words.

Some of you critics of Ann on the right are so GD worried about how you’ll be *percieved* by those on the left and in the center that you’ve completely lost sight of the fact that what she is saying is absolutely true. And one reason why the left gets away with using the grief-pimp tactic so much is exactly because people are too f’ing timid to stand up to these people and tell it like it is. It reminds me of those who ran like Chicken Littles after Zell Miller’s forceful (but entirely truth-based) speech at the 2004 RNC. Or those Reagan aides who tried to get him to remove the line “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” from his 1987 speech at Brandenburg gate.

You don’t advance your cause by being timid or afraid of the opposition’s response. You do so by boldly taking the offensive, and if you have to step a bit over the line to stir things up once in a while, then so be it.

Why do you think the rest of the sheehan family have fled from the idiot cindy? They know what’s up. Hell, everyone does. That media whore cindy would say anything to be in the spotlight for as long as possible. Pretty sad when the only one with balls enough to call her on it is a woman. The lack of guts from some neutered republicans and emasculated bloggers is sickening. Screw truth. It’s all about feeeeeelings. Ridiculous.
