People,

Almost all of that scumbags offspring are Lawyers. Hmm… comments about fruit falling from a tree ommitted.

They won’t have anything to amount to for fees because they’ll do everytyhing themselves.

OTOH, if they had enough suits from all over the country they’d chew up tons of money in travel costs. Especially, if each family could get a lawyer to bury these buttwipes in paperwork.

Ahh, but everyone is forgetting the real reason why no one has beaten the snot out of Phelps.

Generally we are a nation of laws, and beleive in those laws. We, unlike those that send death threats to Coulter and Malkin, Will not infringe on anothers rights.

I am sure that their are plenty right wing types that have sent death threats to the left too. But for the life of me I can not remember reading many.

But regardless of anyone’s feelings on the subject, the fact remains that a funeral is a private affair and should remain so. If a group of lunatics decide to protest it, they should be willing to accept the consequences. i think it’s a disgrace and i don’t see how this group of Baptists can call themselves Christian.

Thanks bdfaith for serving; I’ve wondered if you had to be a biker and a vet to be part of the Guard.
I work here in York County so I’m watching this really closely. It would be absolutely great if the Snyders would take Phelps to the ‘cleaners’ but realistically that isn’t going to happen. What would be wonderful is if other military families follow suit. Keep the dreck tied up in court for years to come….

I wish conservatives wouldn’t use the outrageously STUPID term “homophobia”. By using such an absolutely asinine lunatic label we give it legitimacy. These people don’t fear gays, they hate them. And the rest of us just hate (or at least severely are disgusted by) what they DO, but we still don’t FEAR them at all.

God does NOT hate gays… but He DOES hate what they DO.

That said, Phelps and co are idiots, mentally ill, and absolutely indefensible. If God wanted at this point in time to punish gays (or America) He has a LOT more effective means at His disposal than a few cobbled together IEDs. Our time will come, but a few puny IEDs won’t be His weapon of choice.

Personally, I thought “smegma” was awfully mild and restrained. This man personifies evil; that he pretends to act in the name of God puts him in a league with lovely men like bin Laden.

“Smegma” doesn’t even come close.

Now here’s my question: why is he still breathing? It’s something I always wonder about such people. Why are there terrorists willing to kill innocents, but nobody ever seems to go after the real smegma heads? (No pun intended).

Seriously. Why aren’t some crazy American rednecks in Teheran blowing themselves up? Why aren’t nutty Israel’s blowing up Palistinian pizza parlors? (Do they have pizza parlors?)

Let me be clear: I am NOT advocating such violence. I just don’t understand why it never happens. Why regular joes get killed every day, and real (insert better expletive here)’s never seem to get hit.

Allah, while we're on the subject of the WBC smegma (Thanks for the new word, btw; I'd been settling for "slime.") this is an excellent time for a plug for Patriot Guard Riders, an outstanding organization formed to protect the families of our fallen from the smegma. I've only been out with them once, but it was an eye-opener. At CWO2 Chris Donaldson's funeral in mid-May we did a good enough job of insulating the mourners from the smegma that after the funeral one of the family asked one of the Riders "Did that protest bunch show up?" You don't have to be a biker (I'm not) or a veteran (although I am) to join and participate when needed. After you've read the official stuff on their site, you can also get a little more of a feel for the sort of people involved here (tissue alert).

I read the complaint, and I’m convinced that Phelps and his band of Koolaid-drinkers are toast. A good point raised at Barking Moonbat: where do these scum get the big bucks that finances their travels? Thats the fountain of punitive damages, right there.

See-dubya has a good point too. How will the ACLU’s inevitable defense of Phelps play with their other clientellerinas?

Also, how blue a state is Maryland? Enough to impact the jury selection process?
