[...] And that’s the key. To cover it, as we’ve done here, in order to find out what went wrong is one thing; to exploit it in hopes of delegitimizing the entire war, and in particular the heroism of the rest of the troops in the field, is something else entirely. And it’s already begun, both on television and in print. But here’s the silver lining in a very dark cloud: Opinion polls put support for the war below 40%. Still, it has become obligatory now as a nod across the political spectrum to the corrosive Vietnam Syndrome, to reassure that one’s opposition is only to the war, not to the men fighting it.
Who watches Keith Olberman? Maybe a couple of female mud wrestlers from Seattle.

The truth about Haditha is this: Were you to toss a handgrenade at random into a crowd, 98% of the dead would be terrorists. Could it be that our Marines had the dastardly luck to kill the innocent 2% of the population? C'mon Bush, stop taking Jimmy Carter pills and support troops who were merely defending themselves. Let's also try John MurthaFu--- for sedition.

Well, if what the Marines are doing is so "wrong", and if the PM is soo miffed their is a simple solution.
Ask us to leave.
Bush says we are their because the Iraqi's want us their, and we will leave when they ask us to. Well, ask us and lets move out. And 6 months from now when 1 Million people have died at the hands of the darling insurgants as part of their "re-education plan" we will probaly be torn apart for leaving by the same people that are tearing us apart now for being their.

Dear Mr. Olbermann,

This is not how I remember the war.

I remember Saddam crawling out of the spider hole.

I remember the brave marines who have sacrificed for this country.

I remember how our troops kicked A$$!

I remember how the Democrats were against the war, after they supported the war. I rememebr Kerry the great Waffle King.

I remember we have 4 years without a bombing incidence in this country. Hope we can continue this record.

The rest, are just minor incidences.

BTW, do you remember how the insurgents beheaded AMERICAN CONTRACTORS AND HANGED THEIR HEADS ON A BRIDGE? I guess not. You never remember those things. I guess Democrats and liberals don't like to remember those atrocities. Insurgents are freedom figthers to you. I am not surprise that Democrats support the insurgents, but not our troops. They have criticized our troops on a daily basis but they have never criticized the atrocities done by the insurgents.

I understand.

"the incident for which the entire war may ultimately be remembered"

I thought this spot was owned by Abu Grieb. Or was it the WMD report? Or was it one of the host of other "bomb shells" championed by the left? Well I guess this is the ultimate incident until the next useful ultimate incident comes along.

Personally, 9/11 will be the "incident" for which I'll be remembering this war.
