A frame by frame video fisking. I haven’t watched it all yet, but I will this weekend. Granted, it won’t change a single mind that’s predisposed to believe LC’s idiocy but the effort is appreciated. So congrats to the good man who made it happen. By which, of course, I mean Karl Rove.
I got an e-mail from the patriots at 911Proof.com this morning pointing me to the latest bombshell revelation. Here you go. The government’s vested interest in being publicly taunted by a phantom Osama was never clearer.
Semi-related, Jim Treacher points me to this column by Tim Blair tossing chum to baby sharks. He forgot to specify that Bush brought down the towers with a controlled demolition, but otherwise, yep, he’s got his bases covered. Pray that no one in the government misunderstands his intent and has him marched him off to … “the camp.”
Update: One of the guys from Screw Loose Change e-mails with info about Scholars for Truth, the group responsible for the Osama tape “debunking.” You will be shocked to learn that these esteemed scholars count not a single structural engineer or professor of Middle Eastern Studies among their ranks.

well, they do make some interesting points, like the lack of Quranic verses.
Assuming that the tape is a fake, how can they tell it was America that made it, and not some terrorist trying to sow discord?
Seriously, a few bright people could whip up a tape that supports America, distribute it and then laugh when it falls apart under scrutiny, and gives America a black eye.
I reckon my question to the “America and Bushymchitler are WRONG” crowd is:
“If you are right, and all the conspiracies are true what are you going to do about it? Just printing the theories does nothing. The government is not afraid of you. When will you and your followers stand up with your guns and bombs and fight to free America from the despots? To do anything less is to accept that the Government has won their evil war and now rule America with an iron fist.”
Then again, these guys think they are “speaking truth to power”. I will beleive their “theories” when the tin hat crowds begin to disapear or are found dead.

I think it’s important to derail these guys at every turn (although they do a pretty good job of making themselves look like idiots – they’ve provided a good deal of the raw material here). They will be making a big push with this Loose Change tripe for 9/11 this year, and the big danger is that this will become part of the 9/11 history, and equally as dangerous that this may become a tool of the defense in future prosecutions.
The “film makers” (scare quotes here – I’m a film maker and have the credits & awards to prove it.) have quite a cult going.
When you chase a shadow, or a ghost of a fairy, you never catch it, so as these guy’s hide behind the phrase “Hey, we’re just asking questions.”
Don’t wait for the weekend, watch the debunking soon.

I like how in part five, near the end, the claim is made a B-52 hit the Empire State Building…in 1945? Maybe a B-17, or B-29, but not a 52…guess they failed aircraft ID and history….

It looks like these idiots who made the farce “loose change” have a lot of pull in the liberal crowd. I’m even seeing links to it in newsgroups that have nothing to do with it, posted by regulars of the group.

You know, I had not watched Loose Change prior to this. I don’t know whether to throw up or throw a chair. Or throw up a chair.
What is wrong with these monsters? To produce an abomination like this, to piss on the graves of those who died, to spit in the faces of their families.
I wonder if these people get birthday cards from Osama? Love letters?

It was a B25 that hit the Empire State building. Same kind of plane used on the Doolittle raid.
