Nice to see someone else in the family receive a little notoriety.
Bronze Star, V for Valor. Killed after volunteering to be part of a Quick Reaction Force sent in to rescue U.S. troops under fire from Muqtada al-Sadr’s goon squad. Here’s his Wikipedia page. And here’s mom’s, which is a good three to four times as long.

I can’t believe I missed this last week. Thanks to Ace for the tip.

The only Sheehan that truly matters.

Thank you, Spec. Sheehan.

Wonder if this hero of our country ever realized what a nut he had for a mother.
Asmodeus on June 1, 2006 at 5:05 PM
Remember his sacrifice, bravery, & how it is the complete antithesis of his mother. Thanks Spec. Sheehan.

Hmmmm. I can’t believe he got such a nice marker. She strikes me as the type to parlay the stone, get the money, put a brick on his grave, then scream to high heaven that Bush is to blame for lack of a proper marker. She is wholly reprehensible.

Thank God for people like Spec. Sheehan.
CrazyFool on June 1, 2006 at 5:23 PM
$1.00 to your favorite charity bet that the FAMILY or X Husband paid for the stone…
I can’t imagine Cindy Shithan placing a military symbol on the headstone.

The SheeWitch is a media whore who has recycled her “15 minutes of fame” over and over again. She used her son’s death as a tool to promote her far left agenda. She’s been all over the world (financed by whom?) cozying up to Michael Moore, Hugo Chavez and now Susan “SaranWrap”.
I think her son, Casey, would be ashamed of “Mommie Dearest”.
God Bless his soul.

it’s about time. someone said on Rush yesterday, “Land of the Free, home BECAUSE of the brave.” Casey, you are one good fella. May your soul rest in peace.

I think it was “Land of the free BECAUSE of the brave.”
No “home” in there.
Labamigo on June 1, 2006 at 6:02 PM
thanks for the correction. :) i thought is was something like that.

I’ll be heading up to the Bay Area next month for a visit — so I think I may have to take the drive up to Vacaville and pay my respects.
Peace be with you, Casey Sheehan.

Beautiful marker…for a beautiful person. Thanks for your service. You did us proud. Now, as for the mother…just proves anyone can reproduce..but being a mom would mean HONORING her son’s service. She tramples on it every chance she gets and does it for money, too. WITCH!

Restin peace Casey and God bless your soul
……you know folks the reason that his mom is so angry at Pres. Bush and the military etc. is because he rejected every thing that his mother stands for….so in reality she is angry at her son…..

God Bless you and rest in peace Casey Sheehan….Soldier.

I wonder what Casey will say to Cindy on the day of the Resurrection, when they will be reunited in the flesh?
Perhaps it’ll be something as simple as:
“Mother… WHY?”
Dave Shay on June 2, 2006 at 12:00 AM
Or, perhaps he will learn to forgive his mother, and she him. They both gave of themselves for strangers. He did it for love of country and duty. She did it for self and because of manipulation from the “stranger than thou” crowd.
RolandHall on June 2, 2006 at 1:35 AM
Ya know it would be interesting if Casey Sheehan’s final resting place becomes a silent and somber symbol of reverence and respect for all the men and women of the military.
Cpilot on June 2, 2006 at 2:13 AM
Rest in Peace Casey.
You will be remembered as a far better man then your mother would give you credit for. You were a good soldier and good human being.
There are few people who leave an imprint on the world during their travel down the path of life. What you and all of the service members have given this world, which is the hope for a better life, is one of the greatest gifts of all.

Lots of big talk from people who have not lost a child in war. I despise her actions, but cannot imagine her loss and pain. Shame on all of you for slinging mud with your kids all safe and sound.
honora on June 2, 2006 at 11:32 AM
Hopefully he can rest in peace now
God bless you Casey Sheehan

I wish we could trade her time on this Earth for his.

Hey, Cindy!
CASEY IS ASHAMED OF YOU!!!

You are right, but she just seems motivated more by the limelight than the grief of loosing her son. I heard that Casey was raised by his father and she had very little involvment in his life, but I don’t know that for sure.
Shmo on June 2, 2006 at 3:35 PM
shmo: she may well be motivated by the limelight, but as you suggest, we have no way of knowing. We lost a child years ago, I lost 30 pounds I couldn’t afford to lose and experienced some temporary vision loss. Grief does unbelievable things to you. Just think we need to listen to the voices of our better angels on this one and not be so quick to judge.
honora on June 2, 2006 at 4:19 PM
Ms. Sheehan is just a liberal, pure and simple. She would be out there even if her son had not died in defence of our liberties. The fact that he did perish just gave her the limelight she craved to spew her venom at everything American (not to mention her anti-Jewish sentiments).
