Nice vent. :)

Oh, he’ll be found sooner or later, especially with the warrants, and probation violations out against him in a couple states (not to mention the illegal act of impersonating a military personnel). And given his history, I’m sure he can’t help himself when he commits more credit card fraud and gets caught again.

Con arist is all he is. Not even really an artist, just a pathetic Con.

Enoxo on May 24, 2006 at 9:20 AM

Ordinarily I wouldn’t take a cheap shot at a guy’s shortcomings but after watching Jesse?

In the words of a more convincing screen star than him?

“Tha tha tha that’s all Folks!”

Wander on May 24, 2006 at 9:32 AM

Great vent, Michelle.

War is bad enough, but for ANYONE to lie about what was done or what was NOT done during war is totally inexcusable.

These people who pretend to be vets in order to discredit the war against terrorism should indeed be arrested for impersonating military personnel. And for those actual vets who lie about war crimes a la John Kerry to discredit the war effort for whatever reason should either present proof at a hearing and mention names, dates, and locations(like you were demanding, Michelle)that crimes were indeed committed, or be brought up on charges for false claims.

Our true and honest vets go through enough hell by being on the battlefield. They do not need to be victimized by lies and false accusations by anyone.

PAPA BEAR on May 24, 2006 at 9:38 AM

Great Vent!

It was fascinating following this story yesterday and seeing how Macbeth´s fraud got revealed in hours.

Macbeth should come up with a statement explaining why he did it and with whom. He should also ask the real heroes/veterans for forgiveness.

He will be prosecuted I assume…

And fascinating…

sugiero on May 24, 2006 at 9:42 AM

Oh – jeez. Where to start?

I didn’t watch the video yesterday. I didn’t need to: one look at the picture left no doubt the guy was a fraud.

But after seeing that video … I’m stunned. How could ANYONE, not matter how far left, no matter how politically deranged, no matter how deluded, no matter how fundamentally STUPID, actually believe for an instant that this guy was for real.

Literally every word he said rang false. To debunk what I just watched would take a short novel. Frankly, the uniform discrepancies are the LEAST of the problems; after all, some protesters who were actually veterans took to disgracing the uniform on purpose, sort of a Che-chic look (yes, you, Sen. Flip Flop).

But this man (boy?) himself is just laughable. In my five years in the Marine Corps, I never saw anyone look, act, talk, think, or behave like that. Certainly not a combat vet, certainly not an Army Ranger (and not a chance in hell a Marine!)

So obviously, patently phony that it literally defies the imagination that anyone would buy it. That the left WANTED to so badly is seriously frightening.

Do atrocities happen in wartime? Have they happened in Iraq? Have innocents been killed, maybe through recklessness, maybe on purpose? Clearly – yes, yes, and yes. War is hell.

But to even suggest the sort of mass, systematic, NON-MILITARY, undisciplined, and counter-productive types of atrocities this obviously troubled young fraud alleges occurred is simply beyond stupid. In an urban area, in a country crawling with anti-American journalists, just one such event would remain quiet for about 5 minutes.

And this guy personally killed TWO HUNDRED people? C’mon. Carlos Hathcock and Chesty Puller didn’t rack up those kinds of numbers. EVEN if he was actually a Ranger (um, no) and even if he’d at least been in the military (maybe the Air Force could claim him – not a chance he served elsewhere), even if some of what he claims had actually happened (put down the crackpipe) …. even if all that was true, the TWO HUNDRED claim makes all the rest ludicrous.

There are no words to describe my contempt not only for this probably mentally ill poser – but for those who not only believed him but held him up as “their truth.”

Here’s the sad part, liberal lurkers: what the hell do you think will happen now if a soldier (a real one) reports a real atrocity? Who’s going to believe it?

(Ah! But that’s the plan, right? MacBeth (out, damned spot!) was a Rovian plant, sent to discredit your truth! Jesus wept. When will you liberal losers finally grasp that you already do far too good of a job discrediting yourselves!)

/rant over

By the way – sidebar, your honor: as a gentleman I must refrain from commenting on how delightful Ms. Malkin looked in that white tanktop (Oops – did I say that out loud?)

However – I can point out that her salute at the end of that vent was far more properly and crisply executed than a certain former Presidential wanna be’s salute when he “reported for doody.”

I’m just sayin.’

Professor Blather on May 24, 2006 at 9:43 AM

Very nice vent Michelle. Let me reiterate your incredulity would be a very welcome sight on your own tv news show; I’m not sure if in-studio interviews would be your thing though; that outrage might be a bit intimidating. I dare say wannabe Ranger Jessie would have knocked over his chair fleeing from the studio.
I’d be interested to see this guy in person; no, not to watch a couple of real rangers pummel him, although that would be fun, but to hear him talk about, I don’t know, the weather or something. I’m curious about the stutter. It wasn’t consistent. Does he have a speech disability or was he so nervous about some of the whoppers that he was just stammering.
I’m glad that Hot Air aired so much of the video. It gives people a chance to see just what the anti war moonbats tried to get away with. It amazes me to see someone put so much effort into a lie. He had parts of every liberal trope about our soldiers in there. All that was missing was the ‘good guy’ who expressed doubt about their murdering of civilians that was subsequently assassinated and made to look as if the Iraqi’s had killed him. If there was a Ranger battalion running around shooting kids for throwing rocks, I dare say Al-Jazeera would have been blaring it all over the news within days, trying to incite riots. No, you can’t even say this was a good scam. Keep at ’em, Michelle!

austinnelly on May 24, 2006 at 9:48 AM

I could have summed up my above blathering by quoting the best line from Adam Sandler’s “Billy Madison.” This ones for you, Jesse MacBeth (and your friends Bob Hamlet and Romeo Smith. What’s with his fake name, anyway: is he liberal loon or a porn star wannabe?):

Here you go:

Mr. Phony Ranger, “what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

Professor Blather on May 24, 2006 at 9:49 AM

I suggest that filing criminal charges against this POS is NOT the answer. The criminal courts are fine during peacetime for prosecuting crimes of impersonation.
But in wartime, when you impersonate for the purpose of hurting the USA, you are committing a specific act of treason. If you use methods of mass-communication-(internet) to spread false enemy propaganda, knowingly or otherwise, you are acting as an AGENT of a declared enemy.
I know I’d be criticized if I suggested that Mr. Macbeth deserved the death penalty. People would say I was overreacting. But what if we were attacked again tomorrow? And what if it was WORSE than 9/11? Would we THEN agree as a nation that we’re really at war? Would we THEN look at actions like Macbeths’ in a different light?
I say why wait for another attack!

This guy has completely sold me on the hard fact that the lefties are LUNATICS. They will believe and do JUST ABOUT ANYTHING that furthers their twisted agenda. yuck. gag. spit. pitooie. Keep the videos coming – they only make you look more like the idiots that you truly are.

pullingmyhairout on May 24, 2006 at 10:01 AM

A Ranger huh? He looked like a stuttering worm. God, I hate the left! BTW, good vent. I look forward to more.

ecamorg on May 24, 2006 at 10:02 AM

It’s not that I disagree with you – I’d personally enjoy seeing the traitorous little punk strung up beside Jane Fonda. There’s a lovely maple in my front yard with high, strong branches.

But I really hope no one bothers. Why? Because I think that this guy in particular, and the Cindy-Sheehan-moonbat-Left in general, are actually hoping for just that. They crave attention like a junkie craves his stash. They’re sole reason for being is to find some relevance in life, some way to believe they matter. If the government actually prosecuted them, they’d be “important” people, right? At least among their moonbat peers?

Thus the single best punishment for people like Henry the VIIIth here (what was his name again?) is boredom. A big, barely stifled yawn. A sincere, honestly felt boredom.

Nothing angers them more. Nothing. And nothing is more amusing then watching that impotent rage build. It’s become a hobby of mine to intentionally set anti-American liberals off … and then smile vaguely, nod, and give that big ‘ol arm-stretching yawn.

It kills them. Kills them. Heads actually explode.

I don’t want Jennie MacDuff here prosecuted. I want him discredited and then ignored. I want to imagine him in a few months working minimum wage at a Hardee’s, living in his parents’ basement, and desperately yearning for the fame that could have been his.

Yawn. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. (snort)

(Of course … conservatives running for office might just want to make him a little bit famous again when they’re planning their re-election campaign commercials … just a thought)

Professor Blather on May 24, 2006 at 10:09 AM

One more example of how the left isn’t interested in the truth, only in supporting ANYTHING that supports their interests…in this case, bringing down GWB and promoting hatred for America around the globe.

We all have to be careful of being sucked into wanting something to be true so badly that we disregard the truth in order to believe, but it’s so commonplace with folks like Dean, Kerry, Gore, the leftie bloggers, etc… that it goes beyond what one could consider to be a typical human nature issue. It’s the norm for them. Truth doesn’t matter for these people.

MT on May 24, 2006 at 10:13 AM

Crazy Fool:

Oh, Jeez. Ouch – my sides! THIS is funny:

Seriously that killed me. Did you write it?

Funniest part is … its no more far fetched than the actual video. I’d probably believe this 100-pound pencil-neck “wanged Demi Moore” (wanged?) before I’d believe his Ranger story …

Marines I’ve talked to have told me that Muslim terrorists are the ones “terrorizing innocent Iraqis”

Macbeth’s heinous stories are accurate – but its not US Troops doing it, it’s the ISLAMOFACIST’S trademark of striking fear in the heart of the Iraqis.

Great Commentary Michelle!

Does this make you want more details of fabricated or “enhanced” news fed to us regularly? It brings to mind a MSM reporter in a canoe reporting how much flooding was taking place – when a man walked by that showed the water was only an inch or two deep (lol)!

More examples of how we are being duped by fabricated news please Michelle!

Nothing like a Wannabe who has read a book or two, and watched “Rambo” and “Black Hawk Down” and decided he knows all there is to know about the Military.

Jesse, it’s pretty obvious you don’t even have a Military friend, if you did, he would have helped you out on the terminology, uniform, perhaps explained why you would want to shave before your pretend military picture.

Snake307 on May 24, 2006 at 11:46 AM

Another great Michelle. This is the agenda the libs are pushing from Kerry, to Kenneky, to Durban, on the Sunday talk shows to the Senate floor, sabotage our war effort, get the POWER back in “06”and “08”.

birdman on May 24, 2006 at 11:58 AM

I have a confession. I washed out in Army basic.

Not for lack of trying, but because of my eyesight; I am badly nearsighted (and in fact, I had to get a waiver to take my shot). I cannot hit a target beyond 150m, even with my own glasses (forget about the Army issue stuff).

Am I bitter? No. I wanted to take my shot, but the military has certain standards — one of which is ‘able to hit X number of targets’. So I couldn’t make the cut. I don’t hold it against TRADOC, the cadre, the President, or anyone else. It’s just the way it is. I came away with a deep respect for any man who puts on the uniform and stands his post — whether it’s an Army tanker, a Marine sharpshooter, a Navy submariner, or even the Air Force guy who drives the fuel truck.

Which brings me to this freakshow named Jessie Macbeth.

This guy, an Airborne Ranger? Bollocks. I met Rangers while in Basic (a couple were sergeants) Let me tell you something: I would not mess with those guys unless I was wearing power armor. There was one guy in particular — a little on the short side, but trim and tough like a Roman gladius (shortsword).

Another bluntly talked about his experience in Ranger school. It’s so hard on you, that it often takes up to a month to recover from it — and these guys are not wimps.

And we’re being asked to believe that this scrawny, heavy-browed guy was ‘inducted’ into the Rangers (in spite of every Army guy saying ‘you volunteer’)?

Forget the career guys and fellows who served their terms. When a guy who washed out of basic can finger someone as a fake, it’s a BAD fake.

Wow, I feel better getting /that/ off my chest :) Maybe there’s something to be said for ‘venting’ :)

It would be interesting to know whether the infamous Colorado professor Ward Churchill served in combat in Vietnam as he claims.

Great Vent! I love this website.

How pathetic. I wonder if he can be tried for treason. Anyone know?

Fatrap on May 24, 2006 at 12:49 PM

Treason is the crime of disloyalty to one’s nation. A person who betrays the nation of their citizenship and/or reneges on an oath of loyalty and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor. citizen’s actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation].” It is also generally considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government.

Hang the Bastard….no trial just hang him

Hellpig on May 24, 2006 at 1:01 PM

Professor Blather, I respectfully disagree. I think we’ve taken the “ignore it” route many times before to no avail. Sure, heads explode, but we’re dealing with a Hydra that grows new ones.

I want this clown to back up his charges. Look at Congress and their “price gouging” hearings … damn the evidence, we need an investigation, now. Well, I demand a hearing into these charges. Get Ranger Macbeth on the stand now. I seriously doubt he’d enjoy that degree of attention.

The Tacoma paper’s website has this:

ecamorg on May 24, 2006 at 4:15 PM

I came late to this topic, was too busy yesterday to do my usual daily HotAir and Freeping.

Just so happens that I’m an ex-Ranger.
(“plankholder”; First Ranger Batallion {Co A, 1/75th; HQ section – chief RTO 1974-1975 if anyone feels the need to check MY boni fides; My Company Commander was Don Clark who happens to be popping up on FOX, CNN etc a lot lately, although more in relation to his later FBI career than military related, so if Michelle runs into him in the green room some time, she can ask him about me [and get an earfull, no doubt]}).

I doubt that I’d ‘kick Jesse’s butt’ just for pretending to be a Ranger, even back in my ‘I’m a tough guy’ days…. And I don’t think he should even be prosecuted for merely pretending to be a “Special Forces Ranger”.

However, due to the damage he has done to the USA in world opinion, I see no reason why he shouldn’t be arrested, tried and found guilty of treason and/or sedition. Then imprisoned (20 years at hard labor in Leavenworth sounds about right), and if they can directly tie his lies to just one death of our real military then execute him.

In a way, I’m kind of pleased at this… discrediting the Left in the USA as this has done is almost a fair trade off for the anti-american al jazerra propaganda he has provided.

‘Course the Democrats will probably want to run this little John Kerry wannabe for Senate.

It is all just so curious:

I find his accent interesting too. Between the stuttering and the occasional ghetto-lite speaking, I wonder if he is even a US citizen… I detect a trace of english-english. Like he lived in Great Britain for a while. Since we know that his birth name was Jesse Adam Al-Zaid, could be that he is some kind of lame, ill-conceived islamic jihadi plant.

And given his myspace.com page, it sure looks like he is barely literate.

Reminds me of the time I hooked up with Rambo for a special op during the Cold War. We ditched an F-37 Alley Cat Fighter outside of Moscow and took out a couple of Russkie kids with laser-guided hand grenades. After we blew them to pieces, we went into deep cover until we crossed the border into Kazwakistan for evac by the Blue Berets.

Man, I still have nightmares.

nico on May 24, 2006 at 5:48 PM

So, they slaughtered people praying in a mosque and strung them up? This sounds like a cover story fit for Newsweek. They just need to coach this kid into using the phrase “Quran Abuse”. If they’re lucky they’ll get a Pulitzer… who cares if it causes some more riots and people die, right?

I can just see it now:

“We-we-we-we snuck into a mosque and fl-fl-flushed their Qurans down a toilet while the women and children watched. Then was ra-ra-raped their camels.”

I guess using the word “sedition” is too intollerant nowadays.
