I find it a tad bit "Holier Than Thou" for people involved in major writing outlets to dump on those who blog. I have found more engaging ideas at HotAir than I have in most newspapers in the last year. And I'm not even a conservative!

Blogs bring us all together. Sure, I'd rather not sift through pages and pages of idiocy on MySpace, etc. But it's undeniable that blogs are a good thing. gOoD wRiTing oR NoT.

Okay, so there is less discipline - so be it. It'd rather have that and weird Blog names than Dan Rather's News and ostentatious op-ed columns. I would also rather have the blog environment to get Major News stories and even post opinions than waste my time writing op-ed pieces to the Washington Post that never get posted because I have a conservative opinion.

He is obviously stating that the Blogsphere is different from other outlets like Tv news media and established new websites - like his own.

PRAVDA in the Old Soviet Union said that they had a mission and a political slant. Dan Rather on the other hand, said that if the Bush military service story was true, then that is "the story that [he] wants to break". Point being --- It's the same thing - a waste of my time.

But in the end I see what this guy is after (see below). He states it clearly. He wants traffic to his website and advertising dollars ($$$$$). What a disgrace that I even went to his site.

"Meanwhile, if they or you must enter the Internet world, you can't go wrong with The American Spectator's website (which itself has a blog). It's the best website, with lots of stuff about horrible screaming monkeys, God and the universe, and even pizza, albeit without old tires or whipped cream. Fafblog, eat your heart out."
