Not to long ago Afghanitan was trying to execute a man for the cardinal sin of converting from islam to christianity.
Although we liberated these countries, will they remain so?
The dictators are gone, but are the people free from tyhe control of their religeon?

What about diversity, that great rallying cry of the Left? Yes, what are the Iranian Mullahs, those wonderful bearded ones, going to do about Iranian GLBT’ers? Will Iranian GLBT’ers have multi-colored labels or what; is blue before yellow or after red or mixed in with green or with pink, mixed along with all those pretty yellow ones? Where’s Al Franken’s script for his next SNL show, praising Ahmadinejad’s wit and oratory!

Seriously, when Kofi Annan next appears in Tehran, what will the color of his label be? Also, will the UN inspectors wear labels or will they be exempt?

So many undecided issues, can’t quite believe old Ahmadinejad and his bosses have thought this all the way through yet. Or, maybe they think their bunker will have air-conditioning, with air-purifiers and filters too!

Just think about another factor; the old Manhattan Project was started with the desire to beat those nasty Germans to the A-Bomb first and when Berlin fell, there was severe disappointment we couldn’t drop Big Boy on Berlin. Looks like we’ll get that chance now on the modern day, new and unimproved, version of Nazi Berlin!

I also await the day Iraq is able to defend itself again. I’d see that as a day where the middle east looks at Iraq and realizes the tyrants no longer can use their anti-Jew, anti-American scapegoats.

But that’s optimistic ol’ me, who’s probably one of the rare atheists out there who’s too stubborn not to think the future might in fact be brighter for humanity than what anyone else might think. We all have our rough times, this being one of ‘em for the 21st century. We went through dark times, like the 1860s or 1930s/40s, for example.

This is no different, and I’m optimistic, in this case, that eventually we won’t be seeing Ahmadinejad slapping “Jew” on the Jews to discriminate against ‘em in Iran and using them as scapegoats for oppession, rather that (in the future) we’d see Ahmadinejad in bars just like Saddam Hussein, and perhaps the Mullahs eliminated like the Talifan.

But this is my optimistic two cents.

Iran has neighbors to both east and west that are far more democratic. (Afghanistan and Iraq) Iran is not a democracy, it’s a theocracy.

This is very, very disturbing and frightening for Christians and Jews in Iran.

The issue here is that their rhetoric only goes one way – protect the rights of individuals*, allow for freedom of expression*, human rights are sacred*. (*The * is to indicate that those ideals are ONLY for those in favor with the left. Others need not apply.)

The point so many here are trying to make (and Liberals Just Don’t GET IT) is that there should be an uproar over such labeling as happening in Iran, and that warning bells should be going off loudly to avoid what has happened before.

By the way, Where are the Germans? They, more than any other, should be raising the alarm with voices loud and long.
