Gitmo prisoners attack guards
posted at 11:36 am on May 19, 2006 by Allahpundit
It happened after a drop of a pee didn’t land on a Koran that hadn’t been flushed down a toilet.
Breitbart has the link. The guards got jumped … while trying to rescue a prisoner who was attempting suicide.
I don’t have anything to add here except that I’d love to know how much access the inmates have to newspapers. Four attempted suicides — all failures — timed perfectly to coincide with news that the UN wants the U.S. to close Gitmo?
Anyway, sounds like the attack is over now.
Update: Great minds think/question the timing alike.
Update: Via Michelle, Jim DeMint drops a perspective MOAB on the UN.
Update: Mwahahaha.
Update: Here’s a shocker. LGF says the prisoner’s suicide attempt was staged.

Blowback

The timing is actually perfect.
We already pay the jizya. It’s called U.N. dues.

If the military had used their heads, they would have put these idiots on board an airplane to Gitmo, then halfway across the ocean kicked them out at 20,000 feet. No one would have ever known they were gone. Saved America a lot of money too. Maybe they could video the kicking out, then run it on Al-Jazeera tv.

Why stop them if they want to go home to Allah? Just pass cyandide capsules around and be done with the lot of them.

How long til Daily Kos/Democratic Underground say that this is the result of desperate men trying to live in horrible conditions created and caused by the US War Machine?
Defector01 on May 19, 2006 at 12:02 PM
Oh, the inhumanity of it all. Hundreds of brilliant young men stymied in the prime of their lives by the ruthless and uncaring military machine of the Great Satan.
Living in abject squalor, forced to consume three balanced meals daily, and with good behavior, allowed to intermingle and socialize with other Islamic jihadists. “Patently unfair,” said Ted Kennedy and Nancy Pelosi.
When will these wrongly charged young men be allowed to return to their loving families and live productive lives? The least the United States taxpayers can do is reward them for their unlawful incarceration and pay them large sums of compensation. The wicked Americans deserved to be spanked for their Imperialism.

Okay I wonder if these prisioners attempted suicide because they thought they may be sent to Saudi Arabia also or was is just grief at losing their cellmates and friends?
LakeRuins on May 19, 2006 at 12:43 PM
Grant them AMNESTY and let them do the work Americans won’t due. Let’s focus on their self-esteem.
In fact let them go be dog walkers on Florida shorelines.

More like Florida’s LAKES, robman27.

How long before the left accuses the military of cultural insensitivity for interfering with the prisoners’ allah-given right to suicide. Where does CAIR stand on this issue?

These people deserve our rights too.
They should also receive social security checks when they are released for the time spent in Guantanamo.
They must promise to learn english and not kill anyone that isn’t muslim.
We all need to open our arms and hearts to these beautiful people.
Set them free!!!!!!!!
OH gracious Allah!!!!!

The scenario is scary, but it will happen.
In November of 2006 and in November of 2008, when the Democrats take over the country because of the Republicans’ inability to manage effectively, what will happen to America?
Yes, the Republicans screwed up on almost all levels but at least they are a little bit stronger than the Democrats when it comes to the war on terror, (or, maybe that’s what the Republicans are making us believe!! – look down about North Korea, for example).
Most likely, over the years, the Democrats will:
- close GITMO, give amnesty to the “terrorists” or as they call them “prisoners of war,”
- withdraw from Iraq before finishing the mission, and handle it to Iran and Al Qaeda,
- withdraw from Afghanistan before finishing the mission, and handle it to Iran, Al Qaeda and the Taliban,
- declare Spanish the main and only language of America, because English is a “racist” language,
- officially open the borders with Mexico and Canada to let the illegals flood even more,
- complete Bush’s plans to surrender to North Korea and most probably to Iran!!
send the Military personnel home, and destroy all America’s “defense” weapons and cancel the Department of Defense (the folks in San Francisco will have a field day).
To mention a few.

Thanks Kid that’d be what I meant
robman27 on May 19, 2006 at 2:33 PM
The prisoners at GITMO have never had it better in their lives. The left will grandstand and say “the administration is so cruel to the inmates”, and the mindless will belive them.
birdman on May 19, 2006 at 3:32 PM
Why did our troops try to stop them? I say GIVE ‘EM ALL SOME ROPE!!
Lets all send rope to Gitmo, let the Guards give it out, with the mail.
Richard Davis on May 19, 2006 at 4:56 PM
Why did the prisoners riot? The good news: Senator Dick Durban has negotiated your release. The bad news: Rep. Patrick Kennedy will drive you to the airport.
MaiDee on May 19, 2006 at 5:48 PM
The real bad news would be if Ted Kennedy was driving.
birdman on May 19, 2006 at 6:42 PM
Since they are in Cuba, would Castro welcome Muzzies into his inner sanctum?
The left is so damned hell-bent on shutting down Gitmo.
doingwhatican on May 19, 2006 at 7:17 PM
No, Ted Kennedy is being saved for a small portion of the Mexican border. A moat is being dug and then stocked with hungry Florida alligators. A bridge will then be constructed over the moat. Just the thought of Ted Kennedy driving the illegals over the bridge will deter 98% from even trying.
MaiDee on May 19, 2006 at 7:24 PM
I could be wrong, but hasn’t the Red Cross made regular visits to Club Gitmo and always found it acceptable? The MSM rarely reports that inconvenient fact. Every picture I’ve seen of the place shows the resident mullahs sitting at tables reflecting on the religion of peace or handling their prayer beads.

If they do get out, they will stop by North Carolina ( to vote) and then proceed to slit our childrens throats.
shooter on May 19, 2006 at 10:19 PM
Malkin’s website reports that this was staged so the prisoners could attack the guards
Its time to go bust someone’s head open and start shooting some of them
Defector01 on May 19, 2006 at 11:02 PM
America should not only release these poor souls, but stand idly by as they kill Christians, for interfering would be “standing in the way of them practicing their religion”. Then all they could go speak at Harvard, Berkeley and New School symposiums on how racist America is and retire on the compensation. Of course, all military guards at Gitmo should be jailed for being alive and wearing capitalist uniforms made in China.
