Funniest thing I’ve seen all week. Thanks. It’s amazing how well that soundtrack goes with the ad.

high_desert_wanderer on May 18, 2006 at 3:54 PM

Funniest thing I’ve seen in a long, long time.

Praise Allah!

Ian on May 18, 2006 at 4:02 PM

Markos Zuniga, PLEASE keep supporting those loontard candidates by making them look even more ridiculous than they ever could on their own.
Good work!

Apache on May 18, 2006 at 4:07 PM

Instant classic, Allah.

ultraloser on May 18, 2006 at 4:09 PM

Something like this is I would assume is an every day accurence in Carrboro N.C.

venmax on May 18, 2006 at 4:59 PM

Ha Hah! That’s great! First, no…Second time my stone face has cracked in days!

ecamorg on May 18, 2006 at 5:00 PM

I’d say Kos is a loser, but I’d be redundant.

JammieWearingFool on May 18, 2006 at 5:08 PM

Great re-mix. Kos appears to be quite the attention hungry goon I might add.

darwin on May 18, 2006 at 5:13 PM

Oh God that’s funny. Perfect.

lauraw on May 18, 2006 at 5:17 PM

Hilarious. It reminds me of those old Dean PhotoShops you used to do. Yeeeaarrgh.

The Apologist on May 18, 2006 at 5:26 PM

Dumb. Now if he stuck a mento where the sun don’t shine…

THAT would be funny.

clyde on May 18, 2006 at 5:44 PM

Friggin’ LOL!

MisterPundit on May 18, 2006 at 5:59 PM

Even KOS has to love that!

DymunQ on May 18, 2006 at 6:12 PM

WTF? What in the heck did I just watch? Moonbat Central, obviously.

I hope the folks who make Mentos sues every single person appearing in this add.

jaleach on May 18, 2006 at 6:14 PM

Er, it’s a parody. It’s not a real Mentos ad.

Allahpundit on May 18, 2006 at 6:15 PM

LOL! Thanks Allahpundit. I just saw the real one on another site. It’s obviously one of those days…

Open mouth, insert foot.

The ad is still Moonbat Central, though. And how many people watching this on television are going to know who Markos Moulitsas is?

jaleach on May 18, 2006 at 6:23 PM

No … no … I just watched the real ad and figured out why its so familiar.

Does anybody else watch that hilarious MXC show (“don’t get eliminated!) on Spike TV? With that surreal Japanese game show dubbed into ridiculous English that almost but not quite makes sense?

This ad is EXACTLY like that show. Exactly. Just dub in “don’t – get – eliminated!” at the end and it’d be perfect. Perfect.

Professor Blather on May 18, 2006 at 6:29 PM

Nothing on Earth could possibly be funnier than the unedited original version. But this comes damn close! Excellent job!

Btw, Professor Blather above….LOL. Don’t! Get! Eliminated!

World B. Free on May 18, 2006 at 6:31 PM

Ah – my sides. I just watched the original again. Dear Lord but that Kos guy is a flamer!

Note to Lieberman: don’t run your ads – just run LAMONT’s ad. Over and over and over. Then cut to a single shot of you, arching an eyebrow and looking at the camera. Then say: “You want me … or you want that guy? Your pick. Now try a Mentos … and Don’t! Get! Eliminated!”

Professor Blather on May 18, 2006 at 6:46 PM

A la la loony lib commenter on Daily Kos’ own blog says it pretty nicely:

“No offense to Markos for his cameo, but with him peering through the window and then everyone running into Lamont’s living room it makes his campaign look like a farce. As a Brand Marketing Manager that has worked on many TV ads I can say without hesitation that this ad is just plain awful.”

Yup. Now Don’t! Get! Eliminated!

Professor Blather on May 18, 2006 at 6:57 PM

What would the score be for these nuts on MXC?

“Here’s MarKOS, he’s an official voyeur for the DK”

KOS: “Always from the outside looking in!!!”

“This guy’s score is 0-18, never getting inside.”

KOS: “Go DK!”

[Goes splat on the ground, preferably full of mud and water]

Stankleberry on May 18, 2006 at 7:40 PM

Isn’t it disingenuous for Lamont to be using out-of-state “supporters” in his ad?

Kos Kidz: The Children of the Cornhole

JammieWearingFool on May 18, 2006 at 7:47 PM

OK. Ned’s server has apparently been crushed, and is not responding.

Dismayed, I went to the remix and realized that it really doesn’t matter what Markos and Baby Bop, et al were saying. OMFG, this is hilarity cubed. Nice work, Allah.

Update: The last image is the photoshop. Apparently I have to spell this out for some people.

That’s just sad.

Pablo on May 18, 2006 at 8:18 PM

Noo, you need to shrink the Mentos logo down and put it over the Ned Lamont sign on his shirt, so it looks like he’s holding the Mentos logo.

Enoxo on May 18, 2006 at 8:43 PM

Real fresh would be a Republican senator from CT.

chsw on May 18, 2006 at 8:57 PM

I could do without seeing Kos tweak his nipples….

Master Shake on May 18, 2006 at 9:00 PM

This isn’t a serious ad, is it?

Lady Heather on May 18, 2006 at 9:25 PM

Voting for this moonbat will make your breath fresher?

Is that the message?

*scratches head*

Lady Heather on May 18, 2006 at 9:26 PM

Class 1 Spew Alert. My poor monitor.

HitNRun on May 18, 2006 at 9:27 PM

By the way, Allah, we’ve been very patient but we all expect an archive of the Dean-O comics to be posted sometime in the near future.

HitNRun on May 18, 2006 at 9:28 PM

Shouldn’t that be:

TexasRainmaker on May 18, 2006 at 10:25 PM

What a horrible ad for any candidate. The Mentos treatment actually makes it BETTER. That’s just sad.

Whatever did they do to his eyes to make them bug out like that for this ad?

Mibrilane on May 18, 2006 at 11:38 PM

I still haven’t stopped laughing. And then I watched the Mentos version…

theholyhermit on May 19, 2006 at 5:44 AM

Re: bugged out eyes
Ned looks like the love child of Steve Buscemi and the Taco Bell chihuahua.

SicSemperTyrannus on May 19, 2006 at 7:34 AM

Alas, Ned Lamont can now kiss his political aspirations goodbye – he’s been tagged by Kos, which rhymes with loss.

whatnext on May 19, 2006 at 8:21 AM

If only he could see how stupid he looks. Especially with that gaggle of incompetents dancing behind him.

darwin on May 19, 2006 at 8:30 AM

Oh.My.Goodness. I’m not laughing; I honestly don’t know how to react. That Ned Lamont geek has got to be kidding me.

And are you people serious, and that’s not Corey from Boy Meets World, but is in fact Markos the Weenie from Gayly Cause? Heh. Heh, heh. Bwahahahahaaaa!

Jaibones on May 19, 2006 at 9:22 AM

Who Let the Kos Out?

Kos Kidz: The Children of the Cornhole

Now that’s funny.

I’d like to see the ad with the same typeface but spelling “MENTALS.”

saint kansas on May 19, 2006 at 10:47 AM

That was hilarious! Thanks!

Muslihoon on May 19, 2006 at 3:26 PM

Well if the Dems do kick Lieberman out by voting for Lamont, I will automatically vote for Lamont’s opponent.
And I know more than a few fellow Nutmeggers who will do the same. Although given Kos Kidz 0 for 20(?) record of backing election winners, maybe I’m getting upset over nothing.
Stupid Democrats…but that’s an oxymoron, isn’t it ;)

Abigail Adams on May 19, 2006 at 3:49 PM

loved it.

Vincenzo on May 22, 2006 at 1:26 PM

This is laugh-out-loud hilarious! What can you say about KOS and his “fresh face”? lol …the fresh maker!
