Anyone that wants the full story on Korea, check out the book American Caesar by William Manchester, the story of MacArthur’s life and career. The chapter on Korea is enlightening, to say the least, and a perfect example of people in charge not knowing how to do their jobs or confronting reality. It’s a EXCELLENT book, by the way, and not a whitewash.

The indecision about what to do with Korea has existed since 1951, when MacArthur wanted to bomb hell out of them and end the problem-and the undeclared war-in a month. Truman and the Democrats couldn’t make a decision, and 55 years later politicians continue the tradition.

George Weasel Bush seems to think that when his Administration can’t handle a situation because that situation “is out of (his) control”, the only solution is to have recourse to the french strategy: RETREAT.

We are seeing this pattern in surrendering to the illegal immigrants by granting them amnesty, and now with North Korea. Sooner or later it will be with the Chinese, Iran, Venezuela and oh yes… Iraq.

When will Tom Tancredo run for president? I can’t wait.
