Very worthwhile interview. Like this guy and will buy whatever book he publishes in order to support him. One gripe: the interview is sufficiently long. Why is that excrutiating music and long intro not edited out?

This is a great interview. All joking aside, it really would be great if conservative students groups could figure out a way to get him to the states for a few speaking engagements. The right needs more people like him to be heard, especially on college campuses. The right needs more young, sexy, stylish and alternative looking intellectuals. The right needs more novelists, artists and musicians that can publically connect with young people. Not a bad idea.

I don’t know what is lonelier, being a Danish cartoonist, or an intellectual in France who openly likes America.

Let’s see, ‘cut off head’, that would be – Islamists!
ummm ‘Play out the decline of a nation in front of his eyes’ – that would be – the French Leftist Majority!

I am surprised he doesn’t beg them to cut off his head and get it over with.

He seems said, sweet, and brave.

One thing he said (as translated) was “it is time for the French to choose sides”. I thought they already chose.

THAT was a cool and interesting interview! I wish Bertrand Latour all the best, he’s a real underdog hero who deserves our respect and support.

Bertrand Latour is using his new novel to show the French people that the USA is one way to achieve your dreams. Sounds like a great book.

This is all great to hear, but the news that the EU is willing to play musical chairs with Iran is not. Good news on some front would be welcome. I guess I should be content with the fact that there are a few people in France who don’t vilify America and can appreciate our point of view.
