Breaking: Video of plane hitting Pentagon on 9/11 to be released at 1 p.m.

By the Department of Defense, according to Fox News. We’ll have it here, of course.
Update: Here’s the still I’ve isolated. Video is coming in a second. I’ve added the red circle to show what I think is the nosecone that Bret Baier mentions; unfortunately, this is as much of the plane as you can see, but do note the shadow beneath it. (Actually, my bad — the shadow is from something else.) Update: Click the image for video. Note what Baier says about the plane possibly having hit the ground first. Update 4:41 p.m.: I’ve trimmed ninety seconds of unnecessary fat off the video. All the good stuff, such as it is, is still there.
Update: Wizbang has a screencap from one of the videos at the DoD site which might show more of the plane. Hard to tell.

Update: Here’s the announcement at Judicial Watch, which filed the FOIA request that got the tape released. The Pentagon says it couldn’t release it until now because of the Moussaoui trial.

Vincenzo, What are kidding…. they’ll just claim that Rove needed all this time in order to have Hollywood make the special effects for the movie.
They’ve had the video of the twin towers being hit and that didn’t stop the moonbats from claiming it was a CIA demolition job.

The claim is that something other than a 757 crashed into the Pentagon. Debunking with forensic evidence is one thing, and PM did a fine job, but the video should nail the door shut. Still, I’m wondering who’ll be the first to claim the video is a fraud, too. Odds: Kos Kidz: 2/1; Democratic Underground: 3/1…;

As much as you are correct that you will never convince a portion of this population that America did this to ourselves, they’ve spent several years now trying to convince the world no plane hit the Pentagon. At least we’ll have a video showing it did. As if all the remains, the big hole, the dead people, the the flight plan weren’t enough.
Maybe they will be able to focus more time and energy on Karl Rove now that this will be put to rest.

I really wish I had known about the screwloosechange blog a few months ago when moonbat acquaintances were pushing the movie. I know you have the “Hot Links” section, but it isn’t really helpful for finding specific rebuttals to liberal talking points of the moment. A catalogue of links or a brief summary would be more helpful.

Exactly. They will say some garbage that the plane landed elsewhere, offloaded the passengers, went back up in the air and a remote controlled drone 757 really crashed into the pentagon. The fact that “they” test crashed a jet by remote controlling it and the fact that a general a long time ago devised a plan to make it look like a bunch of civillians were blown up and blame it one someone else proves all of this.
Conspiracy theorists decided a long time a go a civillian plane didn’t hit the pentagon.

Seriously folks, as our guys are getting blown to bits by these new bombs, Bush sits on his ass unable to respond, for whatever reason. During WWII what do you think FDR would have done to a country that was funneling weapons into Germany for Nazis to use against US troops? I think the word “toast” comes to mind.

Interesting, I once heard that a poll revealed that those, mostly, under the age of say 30 believe in the conspiracies theories surrounding 9-11.
I had a discussion with a co-worker, a bright guy, however he is only 23. He said the U.S. was behind the 9-11 attacks and, IIRC, he said said the President knew that it would happen.
Most of the individuals in the discuss merely said that too many died for the President to have known that it was going to happen.
Anyhow, I always felt that Bin Laden had too secret an infrastructure and a ton of money, $$$, to complete the mission.
Also, Bin Laden himself admitted that only the murderous pilots knew of the full mission. Had all the guys knew they would die — the C would have been let out of the B. The mission would have failed as criminals rat and people in general must talk and do talk.

Papermelech, Screw Loose Change wasn’t around a couple months ago. We discovered the movie about a month ago, when the Loose Change Losers started spamming every blog post about United 93. The good news is that thanks to friends like Hot Air, we’re now in the top 10 Google pages for “Loose Change”, “Loose Change Lies”, “Debunking Loose Change”, etc.

When watching the video of the plane hitting the Pentagon, remember that the hijackers were (in MSM lingo) simply undocumented workers, indispensible to our economy, doing jobs no American would do, and entitled to all civil rights afforded to Americans. Furthermore, it would have been invasion of privacy to have checked their phone call patterns or listen into their conversations.

Hey everyone… I know a lot of people cite the Popular Mechanics piece for debunking.. but as it pertains to the Pentagon specifically this piece really gets it done. This video shows absolutely nothing. All it’s going to do is make the conspiracy thinkers even more hell bent on their theories: the nosecone is actually from a missle, etc., etc., etc. More fuel for their fires.

Of course CNN and the MSN won’t show this video they refuse to show the films from 9-11 because they want everyone to go to sleep. Anything they can do to destroy Bush, it does not matter how badly they harm this country, or how many people get hurt or killed. To the MSN 9-11 is A joke.

Slightly different. It’s a different camera in the same parking lot. A slightly closer and different angle version.
And I agree with everyone that this will only fuel conspiracy theorists… and I have no clue why they couldn’t release this until now.
The most important thing though, is that the conspiracy theories have all been thoroughly debunked.. I don’t want to spam the board, so scroll to my previous comment and check out that link to an exhaustive debunking piece that is specific to the Pentagon attack.
Not to mention the fact that there are dozens of quotes from eyewitnesses. Either they’re part of the thousands of people who would have to be “in on it”, they’re dumb and don’t know what they saw, or they know what they saw and conspiracy theorists have just needed things to satisfy their imaginations since Star Trek went off the air.

The video is not continual motion but ony a few frames per second. The plane hit between snapshots. Same with the camera tape from four years ago.

Clyde, it’s a security camera. It’s not a high speed sports film camera. You only get a glimpse of the nose as it comes into the frame, but what would you expect? It’s going something like 275 mph…

Even with the release of this video ot doesn’t matter a thing to the Conspiracy Theory Moonbats because they are beyond help of any kind. Michelle Malkin could rip them apart for hours with facts after facts and after they would still believe the Conspiracy Theories rather then the truth backed by 100% Facts.

It just does not matter what you say to these numb skulls about the events on 9/11..they need to feel justified in hating America..simple as that. “Lionel” tells us this is all a hoax conjured up by George Bush to retaliate for the attempted assassination of his dad. Others say we “needed a war for..??..(you pick the reason, and make it a good one. My personal belief is that ALL of these naysayers (and I was being kind there) just need to hear their own hot air. It is what gives them a reason to have an opinion.
Hating America First is a knee jerk reaction…let them have their fantasy…pretty soon they will grow into adults and then they will need to be responsible.

Connie that just proves the theory of what happen to the plane when it slammed into the Pentagon. It was sliced into a Million pieces by the concrete pillars. The Material the plane was made out of, the Jet Fuel, the concrete pillars, the speed of impact it’s all physics.

Being security video is probably why they didn’t release it. I have security video at work and it’s motion activated. Ours records in low frames to save HD space. It gives an unreal image of motion.
There was a case recently where a babysitter had charges dropped of baby shaking because the play back makes the video appear to move faster because of the low amount of frames.
Boy I wonder how long the plane was that low to the ground. Unbelievable how fast it must have looked that low to the ground.

I’m convinced those that see a plane on that video are the same that see all kinds of things from ink blots.
The FBI didn’t release any other videos because they’re selling faith. Perhaps the Liberals should file a law suit and claim it violates the separation of Church and State.
