About Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s in three parts; you might be surprised when you hear which country Yon is more hopeful about.
Ed doesn’t say how he recorded the interview, but I’ll use this as a peg anyway to relay the news that Skype calls are free for the rest of the year if you’re calling in the U.S. or Canada. Skype is our software of choice for conducting podcast interviews, as I explained in my how-to-have-your-own-radio-show post last month. I’d be remiss, though, if I didn’t mention their dealings with the ChiComs, which earned them a spot of dishonor in our very first Vent. Make up your own mind. If enough new users sign up in North America, we might gain enough leverage to put pressure on the company.
Like we do with, er, Microsoft and Google.

Michael Yon has done some incredible work.
He did some incredible reporting last year on the Iraq situation from exactly the perspective that we’re missing from the MSM; from alongside our fighting forces and not in a typical elitist MSM hostile-to-the-military kind of way.
I would have liked to have seen him spend more time in Afghanistan…and the story he tells of the Afghanistan situation is not very hopeful, and that is of a deep concern to me, considering the two Americans still at Pulacharke prison as ‘political prisoners’ there; Brent Bennett and Jack Idema.

Jack Idema. That guy doesn’t seem like any political prisoner to me. More like a two bit criminal thug. And a liar and a glory hog.
However, Micheal Yon has done incredible work as a reporter. I am disapointed that there are only two comments here. If you follow the links Allahpundit placed up there, you can listen to two interviews that are about 10 to 15 minutes long each. One is about Iraq and the other is about Afghanistan. They are well worth listening to.
Mr. Cao, do you know Jack Idema personally or do you have an in depth knowledge of him? I ask you this with all due respect and am not trying to set you up for some sort of snarky comeback.
P.S. You blog had some cool music “Kerry and the Wafflehouse.” Cool tunes. I also like “Ballad of the Green Berets” myself, but that is just one mans taste.
