WOW. Does everyone see what I see? That report by MM was lightyears better than anything you’ll see from the MSM. But hey, Katie to the rescue right? As soon as she takes over on CBS, MM doesn’t have a chance (in algore’s dimension anyway!) Back here on Earth, MM rules the roost.
MM - YOU. ARE. GREAT!
- Sincerely - thanks from the right, where it was gettin’ pretty lonely before we all found you and Hot Air.

I don’t know about others, but watching President Bush talk now a days ranks right up there with root canals. Used to be that you could ignore his ineloquent pauses and gaffs, because you “thought” he really meant what he said. Now, it is intollerable knowing it is all BS.

I’ll just wait for Hot Air to tell me what he said…

Super! Now if we could only get MSM to telecast MM’s vent on tonight’s Evening News just before the latest BS attack.

I am sad to say, that I would pretty much support impeachment proceedings on Jorge Bush over this issue, especially after 9/11. Even the “Three Stooges” run 9/11 commission said the border security is a massive problem and must be fixed. (My apologies to the “Three Stooges”..compairing them to Jamie Goerelick was a low blow).

havok on May 15, 2006 at 9:26 AM

The President has an opportunity tonight to address not only the border and immigration issues, but a range of security concerns and to tie all of these together into a coherent whole. I think that this is important because, I fear, that Iran’s declaration of war (misreported as a diplomatic overture) means that America will face very difficult, perhaps frightening times at home and abroad in the very near future.

I am so angry I could spit. If the Bush speech tonight is as described on Sunday news shows then it is pure stop gap simply to shut us up.

If it comes out that way and congress follows suit we’ll need to do more than piss and moan.

Choke the political parties:
Register with both the DNC and RNC web-sites so you’ll be sure to get a raft of solicitations including postage paid return envelopes. Tape each one you get to a brick (to use in building a wall on the border) and drop it off at the post office. How many bricks do you think it would take to break both parties. Enough so they’ll get the message?

MikeG on May 15, 2006 at 9:35 AM

The biggest problem here, is that without adequate border security, the U.S./Mexico border is an open freeway for terrorists. If, God forbid, there was to be a terrorist attack which was later proven to have been made possible because of the lack of security, who would be held responsible? The border agents for not enforcing the law, the President for pushing to leave the borders open, or, the companies and their executives who lobbied for a lack of enforcement so that they could hire cheap illegal labour? I would think that the latter would be the first ones to start with.

President Bush says we cannot expect to deport all illegal aliens (I refuse to call them immigrants). I say ENFORCE EMPLOYMENT LAWS and they will leave on their own because employers will be detered from hiring them. No jobs, no money, no food, no shelter, NO WELFARE, NO FREE HEALTHCARE and they will pack up and leave. Anything less is a sellout!

LonelyMassRepublican on May 15, 2006 at 10:14 AM

This is a great example of the difference between Conservatives and Libs. Clinton, Kennedy, Gore, Kerry, et al can do no wrong in the eyes of their cult…uh… party. Conservatives hold our (and yes, W often makes me wonder about using the term “our”) officials to the fire when necessary. There is no “painless” answer to the border and illegals crisis. It’s too far gone for that. We’ll see if W or any of our “leaders” can make the tough decisions. Color me doubtful.

Sugar Land on May 15, 2006 at 10:25 AM

I think Bush has spent too much time around business, and not enough time round the folks. He knows that the average person in the US is against undocumented illegals roaming around unchecked, but business keeps telling him to turn a blind eye.

Its amazing that a man who is so strong on foreign policy is afraid of special interest groups on domestic policy.

Its as well this is his last term as President. I don’t think he would survive another election.

DPolwarth on May 15, 2006 at 10:36 AM

I had a sick feeling in my stomach when I heard that Bush was reassuring Vincente Fox that the National Guard will not militarize our borders. What business is it of Fox’s what we do at our borders? It’s our sovereign territory and if Mexico doesn’t like it, too damn bad. The fact that Bush felt he needed to reassure this foreigner, who was making demands, is sickening.

EFG on May 15, 2006 at 10:46 AM

What we’re seeing is not a failure of Immigration Policy. It is a failure of the Federal Government. Rather than simply admit their impotence, they just keep moving the goalposts.
This problem, like SO MANY others cannot be solved by the Federal Government! They are really only good at some things; like taking money out of our paychecks and spending it. And talking and talking. This is just the tip of the icegerg. As we witness this foreign invasion crumbling our sovereignty we hear speeches. We see “plans”, but the problems just get BIGGER!
After the ‘86 amnesty you’d think we’d act more responsibly! HA! These “representatives” look us right in the eye, and DARE us to call them on their own larceny! They say, “if WE can’t fix it- No one can!” So There!
It’s time we face the hard reality that our Federal Government is worthless. Can anyone name ANY mission they are fulfilling? (I exclude the Military from this comment since it’s actually the ONLY part of the Federal Government that has a Constitutional Mandate.)
Let’s face it. The percentage of Americans that actually contribute to our governance, through payment of income tax, is around 50%. Who will convince the other half that it’s in their interest to pay income tax as well? No one! As the number of taxpayers decreases we slide toward the European Model. 30 million more Mexicans will arrive soon and they will bring with them their DEMANDS! Does anyone really think that ANY of these “immigrants” will see the benefit in participating in our economy? Or will they use their numbers to increase taxes on US?
Build a wall. Order an emergency reorganization of the Federal Government, reducing it in size by around 80%. Jail employers who profit from illegals. Stop ALL funding to cities that offer “sanctuary” to lawbreakers. How’s that for a start?

As for the border issue, I like the idea mentioned above of registering at the RNC and DNC sites in an effort to get on their mailing list. I predict we will hear at least these four things in tonight’s speech: “nation of immigrants”, “compassionate”, “path to citizenship”, and some form of denial that his amnesty program is an amnesty program. If the president still uses “jobs Americans won’t do”, however, he’ll have proven he is more tone deaf than even *I* think he is.

Politicians love to say, “their doing jobs Americans won’t do”.

That’s BS, there are no jobs Americans won’t do. Just jobs we won’t do for $2 an hour.

Millions of people spend millions of dollars and volunteer millions of hours to achieve and maintain the goal of a republican majority in the house and senate. These people then spend and volunteer millions more to elect, then re-elect a Republican President.

To show their appreciation, our elected officials spend, pander, lie and demonstrate a level of ignorance indicative of a 6th grade education.

Maybe we should attempt to keep republicans in the minority. Perhaps that’s the only position thy can handle.

Richard Karnes on May 15, 2006 at 11:25 AM

I predict that the presence of the National Guard will be more to tell the Minutemen that they are in the way and to go home and “let the professionals handle it”, and once that little bit of “enforcement” is done, the Guard will leave.

That’s all this is, of course. Just a way to get rid of the Minutemen.

Hide and watch.

moonsbreath on May 15, 2006 at 11:30 AM

I live in a small town in Southern California. In the past 10 years it is nothing like the place I grew up in. I went to the emergency room at a hospital recently, waited 8 hours and was never seen or acknowleged. There were at least 80 Mexicans in that room for FREE basic non-emergency health care. I have a friend who was told by a Latina salesperson in a retail store that ” if she wants to stay here, she better learn Spanish because soon they will be taking over”.
I assume that our government “leaders” think we’re just over reacting. All I can say is if President Bush (who, by the way was first Republican I voted for) gives a weenie speech tonight…..that’ll just about put me over the edge.

chetthepet on May 15, 2006 at 11:35 AM

I do not pretend to know what all is in the speach tonight, but based on past history MM has it pretty well nailed. I have learned to trust that uneasy feeling I get deep in my soul that says What Were We Thinking. Does being an illegial give people special rights? Try being late with taxes and see if a citizen gets special consideration.

Stickman on May 15, 2006 at 11:38 AM

Great piece, Michelle. Why can’t you be president, instead of that idiot Bush? Malkin in 2008! You’ve got my vote.

The HOA for the condos I live in recently hired painters to redo all of the exteriors. There were a lot of problems, because they only spoke Spanish, and not one word of English. I had to talk to them by translating through my computer. One of them painted gang graffiti on the side of one of the condos. Are there no American painters?

Fresh Brewed on May 15, 2006 at 11:47 AM

Totally agree with LonelyMassRepublican. Vigorously enforce existing employment laws which will dry-up the jobs. Make an example of prominent scofflaw employers by imposing heavy fines and perhaps jail time for second offenses. Seeing some of their fellow executives being perp-walked on the nightly news should quickly get the message across to others.
The southern border needs to be much better guarded for reasons of terrorism, but if there are few jobs here for illegals, the flow of illegals will be reduced to a trickle.

Old Coot on May 15, 2006 at 11:50 AM

I am sick in advance. Please explain to me just what it is that Mexico holds over us that requires us to kowtow to them. Why dont Mexicans protest in the streets over their failed government. My congrats to Vincente and company for switching the focus of the Mexican peoples hopes from their own country to ours. Its as if they have come to the conclusion that Mexico cant be salvaged and now its just a question of how much can be bilked from the good old USA. With 40% of their non-government jobs in Mexico being created by American companies and 20% of their workforce living in the US I can see where they are coming from. Meanwhile 28% of federal prisoners and 40% of california prisoners are Mexican. My stepbrother and his wife are moving out of Arizona this week because the school system devotes Kindergarten to learning enough basic english to stagger into first grade. Bush and Co. had better have a plan with more teeth in it than “a temporary gaurd presence”. Hopefully The senate will produce a plan with some real force behind it otherwise I can only assume that the republican party is just baiting its members to bail on them.

I trusted Bush. I have stood behind him and for him. It was inspiring to me when it seemed that He and Tony Blair were standing alone against the world to do the right thing when all the rest of the world was hand wringing about issues that didn’t even matter. It has cost Bush a lot to stand his ground there, and I still believe he is a good man.

The border/immigration issue is another battle and very much related to terror. It is hard to do. People are going to whine. Lives will be disrupted. Families will be moved, torn apart, traumatized. Businesses will be disrupted. But this is all because of ILLEGAL activity that must be stopped.

I still haven’t heard good reasons why we can’t enforce the laws. Give me some logical reasons or let’s uncover the bribery or other shenanigans that are perpetuating this situation. Something has the negotiating power shifted against Bush.

The 50% of us paying for this country are getting ready to break. Read Atlas Shrugged. I worked hard, went to school after graduation for 14 years, and am taking care of the poor in a rural area. I am 44 years old and have spent 14 years of my life in 70 - 110 hr work weeks serving a population that could do much better for themselves if they weren’t drugged on government handouts. My family lost a lot of thier father and husband. Now the gov’t wants me to learn Spanish so I can serve millions more coming in with no end in site. I love people and am willing to help, but give me a break!! We have laws to enforce the common sense principles of our Creator. One of those is, “If a man will not work, niether should he eat.”

I acknowledge that many Mexicans are good workers, but they have no accountability, no responsibility to contribute to taxes, and they are growing more “entitled” to my money by the year. We need to empty the country of the illegals who did’t respect our laws to begin with, prosecute the employers of illegals, THEN, make a legal immigration system that works.

CountryDoc on May 15, 2006 at 11:56 AM

Michelle was right on in her assessment and commentary - Bravo Michelle!

Greed - from Republicans looking for short term monetary gain and Democrats for the promise of increased power - will work to the benefit of the illegal alien to the great detriment of the nation and it’s citizens.

There is hope! Just when you think the U.S. is going to “hell in a handbasket” it rights itself. Have faith!

Thank you Michelle for being a voice of reason and resistance to so much greed at the expense of those who are loyal to the United States.

angry_mike on May 15, 2006 at 12:02 PM

In another forum, someone referred to immigration as a “human right”. I accept the notion that migration is a natural right, but immigration is an invitation, not a right. Consequently, every country or nation can establish its own rules about which outsiders to accept or reject.

There are a host of reasons an immigrant would leave their homeland to settle in a new land. Sometimes these reasons may include human rights abuses.

If there is a human rights component in the current Latino “immigration” wave, then their native countries ought to be charged with human rights violations for forcing them out. Instead the person I was arguing with was accusing the US for human rights violations trying to keep them out.

If in fact that there are over 10 million illegal aliens in this country suffering from human rights abuses, why haven’t they moved on to a more “human friendly” country?

Ripama on May 15, 2006 at 12:10 PM

Hey people lets keep spreading the word about Hotair. We need more conservatives and liberals that want a closed border to see today’s report.

Theworldisnotenough on May 15, 2006 at 12:20 PM

I am sick to death of hearing how the illegals are doing jobs Americans won’t do. Pay me under the table and I could do those jobs, too. Being a citizen, however, means that I have to pay *taxes*, which significantly affects my take home pay.

I also agree that we don’t have to send them all home. Start enforcing the laws we have, actually deport the illegals we catch instead of releasing them and sanction those who employ illegals, and the USA would stop looking so attractive to illegals.

I recently had a little intruder in my home. It was a cold day, and the heat from my dryer vent was just too much for the little critter to resist. He wasn’t going to eat much, but I knew that if left unchecked I would have a major issue on my hands. One trap and an enforced border (mesh around the vent) later, no more intruder and no chance of more coming in, at least at that location.

Come on Bushie, defend that border!!!!

Great job, Michelle.

The GOP needs to wake up and smell the discontent. I think they may be banking on the notion that party loyalty will keep us voting Republican. Did anyone catch Instapundits interview with RNC Chairman? He kept going on about how awful it would be if the Dems controlled the House and Senate, basically warning voters not to take their Constitutional right to withhold their votes!

In this day and age, the main power LEGAL American citizens have is on election day. The GOP needs to realize that I for one, will have little qualm about withholding my vote from any candidate who is soft on immigration reform (i.e. enforcing the EXISTING laws) and supports amnesty (or any other name that they give it).

Wake up, El Presidente! It’s time you realized that you are losing the conservative base!

Listen up all RINOs, Bush’s speech tonight better not have a hint of compromise in it. Nothing but full protection of the border by a means that cannot be withdrawn a day after the election (’fence’ is the only thing that comes to mind) will do along with the incentives for self deportation. Nothing short of that will turn me back around to even listen to the Republicans for the next election. I am tired of being betrayed by you, and I will show you how that feels come November elections.

this is what we should do at the southern border, build a 300ft. concrete wall from Texas to San Diego with 100,000volts of electricity wire above the wall & in front of the wall have a 10 mile radius of landmines between Texas & San Diego with the U.S. Military behind the wall.

I am so disappointed about how Bush is handling immigration. I feel like he is bending to the masses rather than sticking to the grass root conservative beliefs, not just on immigration but on other topics also. In fact most republicans in power are very disappointing. They are acting like democrats rather than the republicans we voted for. I think they are trying to please the masses to get the votes in the fall. They arent representing the people. They have to start acting like winners, and do what they were sent to DC to do. Bic on May 15, 2006 at 1:09 PM

Here is the entire problem. We are ignored. Liberls have a protest of 300 people, every news outlet in America is clamoring about it. 1 million people protest about how hard it is for them to live here illeagaly every politician and newspaper cries into their milks and want to make it easier.
And its worse, big business trumps common sense everytime, especially when the politicos want to be reallected.
“Screw our base” they say, “who are they going to vote for? Hillary???”

Well, maybe we need to make our voices heard. Lets pull a liberal. Pick a day to boycott something. Let the government know that we are using that day to tell them how we feel, and let them know how many of us are serious. Maybe we can all cancel our subscriptions to the liberal press. or not do any shopping for a few days. A walk in to the front lawn of the white house would be nice. Pick a message, post the date, spread it to the blogs and just do it. And keep on doing it. Hell, I’m buying the first round at the capital brewery (for the first 10 people wearing an ishirt) :)
Their are 268 million americans, if 80 million are conservative, and only 10% showed up, thats 8 million people. That would get a message across

Immigration reform? Like Scrmommy said, make employing an illeagle a $5 million fine (I was thinking $1 mil myself) and ENFORCE it.

But for now, until we do something as a group, the politicians will continue doing self visual colonoscopies and nothing will get done. Making our voices heard on election day wil be to late. We need to try and get through to them now.

1 Bush is a total pussy in his relationship with Vincente Fox. When Vincente says “jump” George W says “how high”.
2 Bush is as clueless about illegal immegration as Cynthia McKinney would be if presented with a with a quantum mechanics equation. He has correctly guarded America’s front door against Muslim terrorists but has left the back door wide open for illegal alien invaders (now euphemistically being called ‘undocumented workers’) who could be terrorists, organized gang members, common criminals, drug traffickers and even Mexican Government spies.

English is our first language and we still respect the American flag. We need a wall and enforcement of immigration laws. Crack down on employers hiring illegal immigrants.
God Bless America

Mott on May 15, 2006 at 1:27 PM

Well, none of us should be surprised that this is what the President is all about; he’s a border governor. Not even Ahnold, The Kaleephornia goverrnator thinks that this whole idea of putting the national guard on the border is going to work (although its hard to know what HE thinks we oughta be doing).

This is getting ridiculous, though. I mean, has anyone discussed how much its going to cost to administer a Temporarr Worker/Guest Worker program? How much money its going to take to make these supposedly tamper-proof *coughs*nosuchthing*coughs* cards? Sheesh.

BTW, Michelle is hotter than my iron left in the oven… It’s a good thing I can focus! Heh…

Dairenn on May 15, 2006 at 1:29 PM

Great Vent Michelle, as usual. I think despite the MSM, conservatives like yourself who use the internet and other media really keep the hopes of conservatives everywhere from dimming. It’s clear from polls, FOX’s ratings, and sites like this that more people know what is going on and are on the right side of this issue than the MSM would like everyone to believe.

One point about the border issue that I’ve not heard mentioned, in regards to the War on Terror. We know now that the 9/11 hijackers could have been apprehended on immigration violations. Only one person involved in the plot was actually caught (Z.M.). Imagine if the job had been done right all along? It’s too late for that, but it’s not too late to do it right and prevent the next one.

Jezla on May 15, 2006 at 1:31 PM

We need a name for the scandal that our border enforcement hase become:

ImmigrationGate?
RioGrandeGate?
JorgeGate?
AztlanGate?
PanchoGate?

C’mon, think of something good - something that sounds great rolling of the tongue.

tommy1 on May 15, 2006 at 1:32 PM

I think you all are very thankless. Bush owes nothing to supporters like this. You are silent on the war and defending this president at every turn. Yet, you rip him to shreds with no thoughts of real world consequences when YOU want something.

The president is living in the real world, most of you are living in a conservative glass house. This man deserves better.

Don’t be an idiot and not votes either…jesus.

tomas on May 15, 2006 at 1:36 PM

A chilling assessment from the Minute Men:

http://minutemanhq.com/b2/index.php/national/2006/05/15/p638

I hope this is a tremendous exaggeration. If not, Bush will not need to be impeached. He, and his fellow Republican and Dhimmicrat pals, will need to swing from ropes at some point in the future, when American citizens will have to fight a Civil War to reclaim their country.

tommy1 on May 15, 2006 at 1:36 PM

I’m incredibly frustrated–once again, Bush is pandering, thinking he’s going to appease us. We’re stuck between a rock & a hard place: Do we let the RINOs go down this next election (which they deserve) in hopes that they learn their lesson, but which then creates the real danger of a Democratic majority legalizing 30 million illegals as a voting population?

Here’s the part I don’t get–why does the NAACP go along with this initiative? I would think it’s clearly apparent that allowing 30 million (mostly) Hispanics become citizens without following the rules is grossly unfair to anyone from a country that doesn’t have a geographic proximity to the US. Guess who that means? Yes, evil (white) Europeans–but also people from Africa, the Caribbean, & Asia. Which, uh, would mean Blacks & Asians, right? The MSM are so quick to present the oppressed/abused minority of the week, but they don’t see the unfairness of, in essence, punishing people who have the misfortune of being born in countries where they can’t simply walk across the border to the US.

I’m absolutely all for legislation raising immigration quotas. I would love to see more hard-working engineers, computer programmers, nannies, mathematicians, scientists, franchise operators, etc., move to this country. (I fail to see the urgent need this country has for housecleaners & ditch diggers–again according to the MSM. I suspect that if people pay a living wage, there are plenty of legal Americans who will do it. Merry Maids & other housecleaning services spring to mind–I’ve used them, & the women have always been legal Americans.) That, to me, would be fairest–then people from Nigeria & Cameroon do have the same shot at coming to the US as someone from El Salvador or Mexico.

Does the NAACP not realize how quickly any power base they have will shift? They will no longer be the Abused-Victim-Mentality-Minority-Group-The-Democrats-Must-Appease. Do Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton really think they can continue their race-hustling & be successful at it? They’ll very quickly be supplanted by a new, much larger, group that has been well trained in playing the victim card.

Example: I happen to live in Prince Georges County, Maryland, in Hyattsville (Michelle, no doubt, is very familiar with that country, which borders on the District of Columbia). It’s one of the largest majority-Black counties in the country. My apartment complex, which requires identification of citizenship (you can be from outside the US, but must prove you’re in the country legally), is virtually all Black. The next complex over, notorious for being very lax on paperwork requirements, is virtually all Hispanic. (The Metro parking garage at New Carrollton was very interesting the days of the demonstrations.) The elected officials of PG County are currently all Black. So are most officials of DC. (Ask Michelle & me sometime about the corruption & incompetence both councils enjoy because of their current electoral base’s willingness to continue to vote them in. Marion Barry set the standard for pandering to a poor minority, who would then overlook any graft or corruption he wanted to commit. The current councils aren’t in that league, but they’re trying hard.) But there are neighborhoods in both PG County & DC that are heavily illegal Hispanics. I can guarantee the makeup of both councils would change immediately were those residents allowed to vote. I suspect most large cities would see the same thing.

Of course, the idea of seeing Jesse & Al shoved out of the limelight by someone else does have its appeal!

Quick question. Does anyone know if a fee, tax, etc…come out of wire transfers? I know some banks do free wire transfers. What are they getting out of this? Are there any regulations or controls on wire transfers to Mexico? Just wondering

tommy1: How about “BorderGate”

JonB on May 15, 2006 at 1:40 PM

Great Vent Michelle, Vent is better then anything I see on the cable networks.

So what is a real conservative to do in the mid term election cycle? You can vote for the Republicans, and you will get things like Amnesty, or vote for the democrats, and get Amnesty, new taxes, and impeachment on top of it. The next presidential election will likely make conservatives make the same dreaded choice, pick a liberal light (McCain), or socialist (Clinton).

tommy1: How about “BorderGate”

Sorry if that’s a double post.

As for Ms. Malkins video, very well done, and quite to the point as well. When i first heard about this whole speech coming up I was just sick to my stomach.

JonB on May 15, 2006 at 1:43 PM

Michelle you are looking good today!

realVerse on May 15, 2006 at 1:45 PM

I loved your Vent today.
Law enforcement is needed for employers, but it is not enough. I understand that the Mexican government is coaching illegals how to start their own businesses.
And I wish the MSM would quit refering to these people as “immigrants.” My mother is an immigrant - from England. These people are law-breakers!

doug01 on May 15, 2006 at 1:48 PM

Bush owes Conservatives nothing. They yell at him when they want…and scournfully in public…but leave him high and dry when he needs support.

tomas on May 15, 2006 at 1:50 PM

Next time somebody pulls the “Jobs Americans won’t do.” line punctuate it with: “Why, are you saying they are too ’shiftless and lazy’?”

Watch ‘em run for cover.

Wander on May 15, 2006 at 1:52 PM

Hilliary did.

tomas on May 15, 2006 at 1:53 PM

Thank you, Michelle.

I want to be as dispassionate as possible, but the radical worldview Bush and the open borders fanatics represent chills me. If this legislation, or anything like it, becomes law, the welfare state will explode, illegal and legal immigration will become indistinguishable, and within a generation the United States will be much more socialist than any nation found in Europe. Citizen taxpayers, many of whom do not even have health care, will be forced to pay for the medicine, medical treatment, education, food stamps, and other social programs of the children of illegal aliens tonight although that never will be acknowledged.

If the president were to be honest tonight about what he actually believes and wants, he would be forced out of office Tuesday. Expect nothing more than blatant lies, spin and deception. And after Bush has lied through his teeth, impress upon your senators and representatives that they will be booted out of office in our last free elections if they go along with this insanity.

godhelpUSA on May 15, 2006 at 1:54 PM

Bush needs to move into my neighborhood. It is a “single-family” zoned neighborhood. A few years ago, Mexicans have been moving in. I have no idea if they are legal or illegal, but if they are “legal”, why do they have 2 to 3 other familes living in a single-family home? Why do they have hammocks in their garages? Why are they converting their garages to additional rooms? Why do I see one group (at least 10) living in a home and a year later, I see another group in that same home? I might add, that home never has a “For Sale” sign in the front yard.
A home up the street was raided in December. They were running a prostitution ring from the converted garage. I never saw any women coming from that house. I did start seeing five vans a month before. The women were brought to my neighborhood in those vans from Mexico and were imprisoned in the garage. The men running the ring got less than 2 years and no deportation because they’re “legal.”
You would think I live in a poor area, I don’t. I live in an upper-class neighborhood which is slowly going all to hell.

moonsbreath on May 15, 2006 at 1:55 PM

At the moment my faith is mostly with the American people in the Red States. Why don’t we Conservatives ever come out in mass to show our objection to unsound policies and attacks usually coming from the left?

Yes, I know most of us are working, taking responsibility for our families and keeping this great country thriving. But it is disturbing to see the day to day progress over the years that the leftist groups have achieved in our communities snuffing out the rights of good, decent, hard working Americans. Or they make life harder for us.

I agree Republicans are letting us down too. Frisk is weak,Weak, WEAK…what do we expect?? We need leadership!!
The President seems to let his loyality, ie, Putin, V.Fox, get in the way of sound decisions. W has a hard time putting his foot down where he needs to. I did not elect W to be good friends with all leaders.

We write, blog, call…too many do nothing. Just once I would love to see the millions of good decent American people march for all the things that are RIGHT with this God given Country of ours. Remember, the United States of America is OUR responsibility and without her, nothing else matters.

God bless YOU, Michelle!!

If you’re not running for POTUS, can you at least help us with a plan of ACTION??? The modern-day Dathans (Numbers: 16) want us to give up and return to Egypt. We will only have ourselves to blame if we resist.

Who will lead us to the Promised Land?

dman on May 15, 2006 at 1:56 PM

This is the kind of behavior that drove me away from the GOP years ago. It’s downright shameful. Maybe Bush can claim he is the victim of a Rovian plot as he placates Vicente Fox (who guards his own borders) and that patriotic American, Senator Chappequiddick Kennedy (Socialist, MA.)

Bellicose Muse on May 15, 2006 at 1:57 PM

Vented on target as usual. But, why have advertisers been scared away? Have even the conservative bunch been warned against supporting an American voice? Can I now return my “Rightshirts” for full credit?

I’m waiting for tonight’s speech by President Bush and if he turns out to be el Presidente, then the heck with him!
