Ahem..it is my understanding that this is all hyped by Karl himself. Somewhere I read that there is not a grain of truth to this and the EEEEVVVILLL Karl Rove has planted this misinformation to keep the other side busy getting all the “dirt.” It’s a shell game…keep the left hand busy and the right will just get the job done. I kind of like that.

There is, as of yet, not one ounce of actual proof to backup the claim that Rove will be indicted. Silly speculation and nothing more. For now anyway. Truthout.org admits that its sources are anonymous and even quotes one White House spokesman as calling these “wild speculative rumors”. Pedestrian and lackluster reporting at its most rediculous. Sorry if I’ve offended anyone but you’ll get over it.

But what about the damage to national security? Should Rove be allowed to simply resign and walk away after the destruction he has caused? I don’t think so! I believe that his punishment should be commensurate with the cost of repairing the dammage!
There was a time when we trusted our friends in the Media. When we understood that our intellectual betters had our interests at heart. When we showed proper respect for the Fourth Branch of Government.
But, sadly today, we have been manipulated by “Patriots” like Rove who constantly question the motives and even the INTEGRITY of our Defenders in the Mainstream Press! Where fiction has replaced fact! Where Documented Evidence proving Bush was AWOL from the National Guard was instead regulated to “forgery” status. Even though CBS’s own Investigative Team came up with NO PROOF at all that they were anything other than genuine!
Carl Rove has caused severe damage to the reputation of the Mainstream Media. It could be YEARS before we are again ready to give 100% blind trust to CBS/NBC/CNN/Time-Warner/NYT/ et. cetera. The horror. THE HORROR!

Um. This means that Fitz will ask the grand jury to indict. There is no guarantee that they will. Just look at the DeLay affair, where the first GJ refused to indict, and the persecutor had to present the same charge to the next one.
