I was under the impression that the internet was NOT actually invented by Al Gore. I was taught that it was developed by the Defense Dept. and a bunch of super-secret acronyms. But that just doesn't add up. I mean, Just how are we supposed to use this thing to fight a war if some teenager in Saudi Arabia keeps shutting it down? Allow me to express my ignorance.
