[...] Basically, the defenders of this information-sharing (or leaking…what I guess must be a “good” leak because it harms America, right New York Times and USA Today?) between the DHS and the corrupt Mexican government cite international law in an attempt to trump United States law. Shamless. The DHS is a joke that’s not funny anymore, and it’s not like it doesn’t have it’s hands full already, what with hooker troubles. Let’s pray that a full investigation does take place and this insanity is put to an end. [...]

Michelle critical of Bush over immigration, now critical of the DHS? What's she doing criticizing the Right, anyway? She's supposed to be just attacking the Left. Isn't she a right-wing fanatical nut job? Why, you'd think she's an honest, fair, consistent opiner. She'd be perfect for CNN or New York Times, right? They could use someone as "fair and balanced" as her.

I just plain and simple do not understand what is happening the Republican party. I have never-ever seen it so bad. Murdoch is throwing his clout behind Hilary in 08'!? Sex Scandles? Illigals protesting for rights? Am I the only one who has a problem with all of this? What the hell is happening to my party and my counrty? It appears almost too late to really do something about my party's self imposed-implosion. I pose the question: What can we do to reverse the trend of moral and national corruption? How can we hold our chosen leaders accountable and still win during the mid-term elections?

To me, it seems so very easy: (1) Secure the freaking border; (2) Reduce Taxes on Gasoline; (3) Make the Tax-Cuts Permanent; and (4) Lets get back to the Rhetoric of true no-holds bared Conservatisim. (after all, that is what got us in to power in the first place. Then we just abandonded it...crazy!

I am against puritanicalism and prudery, but based upon the situation as Michelle describes it, I still say that people should be charged accordingly depending on the outcome of the investigation.

Cigars, card games, and a stripper performing perhaps is one thing. But, there is a difference between hiring a stripper and a prostitute, and also engaging the services of a limo company with a criminal past. That is a totally different situation.

As Crude One points out: "This happens all the time." True. But government officials are not civilians. Government officials have to watch themselves and what they indulge in, especially those in very special jobs. They could become victims of blackmail, for example. After they leave office, well, then what does it really matter?

So some of the boys got together in hotel or apartment suites and on their own time played a little poker, smoked cigars and had paid female talent show up for alleged nefarious activities. Where's the crime? This happens all the time, everywhere. Let's be wary of puritanical over- reactionism until we find out more facts.

Good Vent! But do not miss the point. I do not care what party, the criminals in government need to be behind bars. I am so sick of scandal after scandal concerning government officials. Republican, Democrat, or otherwise, they think they are above the law, or simply can get away with whatever they want. The stupid voters of this country keep reelecting the scum back into office. Granted, the media really only focus on the Republican scum, and ignore the Democrat scum, but scum is scum. Rope, tree, scum. Some assembly required.

Another great vent, Michelle! You do it so well!

I agree with Defector01. I think that instead of creating DHS, priorities, authorities, and new assignments could have been delegated to the FBI, CIA, and military intellegence accordingly. No need for more bureaucracy. The more bureaurcracy, the easier for turf wars and for things to get bogged down. That means time wasted. Time wasted by us is MORE time gained by the toilet bowl water drinking terrorists!

Concerning the prostitute, cardgame situation. I do not care if it be Republican, Democrat, lib, conservative, WHATEVER! Who ever willfully does crap like that should be investigated and charged accordingly. If it means being dismissed from whatever post they hold, then so be it.

AND THEY SHOULD ALSO FACE THE WRATH OF MICHELLE JUST FOR GOOD MEASURE. Hell, I would rather face the wrath of God before facing the wrath of Michelle.

Granted the media is losing their minds over alot of this but we need to be worried about this stupid turf war between agencies that need to be working well together. I was against the creation of homeland security because of the bureaucracy it adds and frankly I haven't been convinced especially with the lack of any positives to come out of homeland security. And if this prostitutes thing is true, then the republicans need to take the front in removing these disgraces to the american government.
