I'm too tired to comment on your post, Allah. That thing with the American kids not being able to find Iraq versus the Australian med school students not being able to find a liver was pretty funny, though. Totally ripped the joke off when I reposted on a forum I go to. Mwahaha, plagiarism.

Is it OK for regular readers to use your Weekend Link Dump as sort of an open post? (Maybe I can start a tradition, or maybe I'll get slapped down. I'll risk it once)

A non-blogging friend of mine -- Viet Nam vet, serious student of Russian and Mideastern History -- sent me a "Cinco de Mayo gift" consisting of an excellent two-part essay on the illegal aliens situation. He, and I, are well to the right of center on the issue but I think there's a significant portion of the population that would agree with everything he wrote. I think a lot of your readers might find A "Cinco de Mayo gift" from Rurik worth reading. Follow the links in the first paragraph before reading the rest of the post.

To people who want to make flag burning illegal, I ask the following question:

Which is more important: our freedom, or a symbol that represents our freedom?

I find both groups rather hypocritical. Flag burners, because they're burning the flag of a country that is so free, it lets them burn its flag; anti-flag-burners, because they act out of love of this country, but are doing something (suppression of speech) that is antithetical to this country's values.
