With Moussaoui, who was not a reluctant player in 9-11, we have sent a different message: Attack America, play up a psychobabble sob story, and you’ll live a long time to taunt us on our dime.

The fact is, our civilian courts are clearly not the proper venue to deal with the likes of Moussaoui. He’s an illegal enemy combatant beholden to war criminals. He deserved a long stay at Gitmo, a military tribunal and a firing squad.

My economic point was minor, but I cannot agree that it does fall flat. Our former Gov. Cuomo would also say that it costs more to execute someone, but he would never say in what way when asked (no, Mark, I am not lumping you together with Gov Cuomo..NO WAY!!) I just want to know why do YOU say it is more expensive to execute some one? How much does it cost to inject poison in him, or to gas him, or to electrocute him, or to hand him, death by firing squad? Once it is done, it is done.

Yes, of course Moussaoui will be in the Super-Max prison in Colorado for about 23 (?) hours a day. That is no joke, but, again, he might just like it and Jihadists are trained for hardship. And, I will say again that his message “I have won and America has lost.” has great meaning (see my prior posting).

His not being executed sends the wrong message to the terrorists. And, in this case, I feel that revenge IS justice.

The economic argument falls flat, because the cost of executing him is more expensive, by at least an order of magnitude. I’m no expert on prison, but from what I’ve been hearing, he’s going to be in a maximum security prison, and won’t exactly be making nightly appearances on 20/20.

Yes, sometimes justice and revenge can be the same thing, but the comments above make it very clear that many people think that they are inseparable, at least in this case.

When a terrorist survives in any capacity, it gives the rest of them hope.

The ACLU will file injuction after injunction everytime Moussaoui complains about something. Solitary confinement just might be something that he will enjoy. Do not forget, despite what we think of terrorists, they are a disciplined lot who have prepared themselves for hardship for the sake of Jihad.

If Moussaoui were sentenced to death, that would be justice because he was not randomly chosen to be killed like a lynch mob goes about grabbing anyone who makes a convenient victim.

We would not have killed Moussaoui because he received a trial in a court of law, not in the back room of a whore house, or a night club, or in a cave.

Revenge? Justice? Sometimes revenge is justice.

I was curious about Supermax and this is what I found out. He will be in solitary 23 hours out of the day with virtually no contact with other inmates. His cell is 7×12 and is soundproof. He’ll have a desk, stool, and bed; all of which is concrete. He’ll also have a toilet and shower.

A former Supermax employee said that Moussaoui will virtually rot there from the stark conditions.

He will not have a television or internet access…which I’m sure the ACLU and the limosine liberals will fight for. I’m waiting for cLooney to play him in “The Life of Zacarias Moussaoui”. Maybe he’ll become a celebrity like that Abu Jabu guy who killed that cop?

I understand the article, but think of it this way…

If Moussaoui WOULD have talked:

90% percent of us wouldnt know who Osama is.
Airport Security would be more of a joke than it is now.
We would’nt have a clue what radical islam is.
We would’nt know who the taliban were.
We would’nt have a Patriot act.
We would of approved the Dubai Ports Deal
Immigration would not be an issue
Sadamn and his sons would still be in power (well thats debatable)
We wouldnt see the U.N and for that matter France, Russia, and Germany as a bunch of wussies
A chance of stopping would STILL NOT have been guaranteed.

And most importantly we would of been as secure as 9/10.

I hate the man personally, I think a lethal injection would be too easy for him.

The reason most peeps don’t like the life in prison sentence is that they know down the road the Loony Libs will start to feel sorry for the debris and want him let go because he has done his time.

The thing I dread the most is all the LSM flocking to the prison to get interviews. The only interview granted should be with Smith & Wesson.

Plus he doesn’t get his 72 virgins. He’ll be the only virgin getting anything real soon. Bend over and face Mecca, asshole!

THEN get out the wire brush and spray bottle(s) full of brine. And televise it worldwide – “THIS is what WILL happen when we catch you”.

And as I said, revenge is perfectly appropriate.

The terrorists kill for its own sake and for conquest; we kill to protect others from more terrorism and from the terrorists’ imperialism. We kill the terrorists to maintain liberty. We are not only not becoming more like them, in killing them we are keeping the entire world from falling under their grip.

In the battlefield, yes. But there is a vast difference between that and killing someone who is a secured prisoner. Killing Moussaoui doesn’t protect anyone, or make anyone else more free.

He will get to spend the rest of his life in a US jail, thumbing his nose at us, and he will be a celebrity among his fellow jihadis. He deserves death, a thousand times if it were possible. The human race would be better off having rid itself of him.

For all intents and purposes, we are rid of him. He’s in prison for life. Unless I go to prison myself, and end up in his cell block, I’ll never have to worry about him again.

Now, given a gun and 5 minutes without consequences, yeah… I’d like to make him suffer and die. But that’s not justice. That’s revenge. That’s making me feel better by hurting him back, and taking his life.
