Columbia Business School students lampoon their dean’s disappointment over not nabbing retiring Fed chair Alan Greenspan’s post. Best take-off of The Police’s “Every Breath You Take.” Ever. Via YouTube (which records more than 48,000 views of the video to date!):

CBS students obviously have way too much time on their hands. Still, great work.

This had a huge segment on CNBC, bringing the entire group from the CBS follies to the set and chatting with the 3 lead members of the group (Glenn Stand-in, co-director Rachel Gehrls, and co-director Calvin Kuo). Very cool and a traditional term activity, similar to groups at HBS, Wharton, and Kellog as well as Ivy and almost-Ivy - Northwestern, Duke, etc- undergrads).

To appreciate this kind of thing it does help to be heavy into business, likely a banker, consultant, accountant, actuary, trader, vc, private equity, hedgie, or a corporate lawyer (preferably corp.fin). Their Dean, Dean Baby skit from spring 05 was ok, though the sound is off on the youtube videos. For wayyyy too much additional info, see http://www0.gsb.columbia.edu/students/organizations/follies/

Have a great weekend y’all… looking forward to more fun hotair.

These young people made some happy memories. Their moms and dads are probably quite proud of them. God bless America.

The guy looked like a cross between Mr Rogers and Buddy Holly.

It did make me laugh and for that I’m grateful.
