I wonder what they think they’re accomplishing.

Tom Shakely on April 29, 2006 at 9:55 PM

Showing how they are educated beyond their intelligence.

Wade on April 29, 2006 at 10:04 PM

This is exactly what Clinton feared for when he was president. Gotta keep his popularity poll as high as possible and bend with every breeze….including his wife’s.

Kokonut on April 29, 2006 at 10:05 PM

Well it is worthy to note that paper-mache is a craft which is taught by young grade school students. Since it is obvious that these people are not very educated, I can only assume that paper-mache was the craft being taught their last year in school.

chow on April 29, 2006 at 10:33 PM

Wow what an awesome waste of talent! If only Bin Laden and Zarqawi could learn to do this…we’d take them seriously too!

Joe on April 29, 2006 at 10:35 PM

We are in too deep for these protesters goofy notions to actually mean anything now. They are just fools, parading their foolishness for everyone to see.

But I still have to wonder what might have happened if the U.S. had simply taken out Saddam and friends, and then left. These people have been killing off each other almost forever, they are still trying to even now, and they’d have probably kept pretty busy doing it after we left, for some time. Had we been really lucky, they might have even gone back to war with Iran, and maybe kept those maniacs busy for awhile too. Oh wait, Iran just wants nuclear POWER to operate their hair dryers with. And the Koran doesn’t instruct Muslims to lie to and deceive non Muslims either…

NRA4Freedom on April 29, 2006 at 10:45 PM

The alternate universe that these strange people inhabit is created by the Department Of Education and its Subsidiaries within the several States, swollen after battening on the largesse distributed as Jimmie Carter’s pay-off to the Schooling Cartel. Abolish the Department Of Education and compel the several States to finance this perverse indoctrination from their own individual resources. Stop the flow of Federal Funds to any post high-school learning facility and starve the nests of treason-vultures in the Universities. It is going to happen, but first things must become far worse. I fear that there may be violence, but as the martyred poet Cornford (before he died fighting against FRANCO) wrote: “Nothing is born without screaming and blood.”

Waumpuscat on April 29, 2006 at 11:27 PM

The Reverend Al really needs to start wearing a brassiere.

calnevari on April 29, 2006 at 11:47 PM

I sense a credo of boredom. Nothing else to do but get out in the street and demonstrate…no brain required.

Crude One on April 29, 2006 at 11:58 PM

But why, calnevari? I think he might feel a bit overdressed if he wore a brassiere. Afterall, I doubt if the marchers that were with him wore brassiers.:)

Melba Toast on April 30, 2006 at 12:45 AM

This is beyond rediculous… Is this Mardi Gras for the misguided?

reflexx on April 30, 2006 at 2:25 AM

“Theres no business like show business”, damm I wish I could remember the words to the song, well you get the idea. Great costooms, to bad its not Holloween, great trick of treat ideas, i’ll have to remember for next year. I bet they smoked A lote of good weed, far out man, I mean really far out, peace love man. birdman on April 30, 2006 at 3:59 AM

It is hard to believe we have this many freaks in our country. But, I guess they are just doing the jobs that Mexicans refuse to do.

gary on April 30, 2006 at 6:20 AM

Stupid little people! All these protests prove is that they CAN protest. What a huge waste of time and money. This is America…land of the free, I guess they have that right, however, why aren’t the boobs protesting in places where they can do some good? Perhaps in Mexico….where the gov’t is so corrupt and vile that their people are running away in droves. Why not in places around the world where women are still treated as pack animals and children are sold into slavery for sex and service. How about China, South America, South Africa….I’ll tell you why. Because they would be rounded up and shot for inciting unrest and their family’s would never see them again. Try humiliating the leaders of Iran or that last “president” of Iraq…I will leave you all to your own imaginations on that one.
One more thing…sing that Star Spangled Banner in English, for crying out loud. That is another subject to be discussed another day.

Sandys Beach on April 30, 2006 at 7:32 AM

Hopefully nobody was throwing beads. I’d hate to see anyone in that lot start flashing the crowd. Moonbats.

right as rain man on April 30, 2006 at 7:54 AM

The contrast between the mental states of these people and the heros of United 93 is telling. When the news of the attack came in and the realization of the seriousness of their situation was clear the brave people on flight 93 took action. They realized that the rules had been changed; hijackers wouldn’t just land the plane in Cuba demanding freedom for some murderer in a jail. The protesters in NY and SF believe that the party is still going on. They have not shifted to a realistic view of the world. As the water laps around their feet they will be saying “the Titanic can’t be sunk…and it’s Bush’s fault if it does.”

mkstach on April 30, 2006 at 10:06 AM

Yeah we went to war for oil. That’s why Exxon owns Iraq now. And we torture our prisoners. Just ask ‘em!
Waumpuscat (above) has the right idea. Starve them out. But I wouldn’t stop with post high school learning facilities. I’d remove ALL federal money from education. Why spend all this money to get stupid?

Gault on April 30, 2006 at 10:10 AM

This crowd is definitely from the Pink tribe, unlike the United 93 passenger, who were from the Gray tribe. Go read http://ejectejecteject.com and his ‘Tribes’ essay to fully understand what I mean; do so after watching ‘United 93′.

Mike O on April 30, 2006 at 11:20 AM

I didn’t see any Papier Mache heads, I thought they were all Ted Kennedy with a face lift.

Richard Davis on April 30, 2006 at 12:03 PM

The best line of the day is “these protesters were just doing the jobs that Mexicans refuse to do.”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Great!

clyde on April 30, 2006 at 12:03 PM

I love it when Al Sharpton talks about ethics and morality and honesty and stuff like that. It makes me warm all over.
Oh, wait. I have to go to the bathroom.

HAHAHAH

clyde on April 30, 2006 at 12:05 PM

Amazing. Just amazing.

So do they think this mardi gras routine will further their cause, or do they just have no lives and nothing better to do?

rightwingprof on April 30, 2006 at 2:21 PM

Don’t answer that! Its part of the VWRC membership package- Free entertainment from the pot and cheetos crowd that thinks “bush is a Fachist” means that they will be taken seriously.

Solid_Snake on April 30, 2006 at 3:18 PM

what is it with paper mache and these guys? I remember being at an abortion clinic where pro-lifers were protesting back in the 80’s. The clinic brought out this large purple paper mache “goddess” of some sort with hands that waved.

Rightwingsparkle on April 30, 2006 at 9:11 PM

Unfortunately the taxpayers must pay for security for these idiots. They know it. That’s part of the reason why they do it. Useless selfish fools.

ecamorg on April 30, 2006 at 9:34 PM

And they say we’re crazy and stupid?

Jezla on April 30, 2006 at 9:38 PM

~What~ is this obsession with papier-mache heads? Freaks!

violet on May 1, 2006 at 3:17 AM

Oh to be so enlightened. I feel so ignorant. No wait, let me rephrase that…..I feels so ignernt. Where did I put my paper-mache head????? After all, anyone with half a brain knows that the real, intelligent, compassionate, respectable, enlightened, heros among us all have paper-mache heads. Right???? Or is it just me?

R.Neck on May 1, 2006 at 10:07 AM

Maybe it was Craft Day at the asylum.
