Yeah’ we have allies. For example, Afghanistan and Iraq, who, if memory serves correct, used to be our enemies. Now they fight side by side with U.S. Troops against A.Q. Hmmm, imagine that, the Bush Doctrine was right all along.

Iran and Syria will someday join us in our Crusa … ooops … in our QUEST to rid the world of islamic head choppers and throat slitters.

I agree with the idea of numbering and time stamping the comments like on Lucianne.

The Afghanis may or may not have killed what’s-his-name, but they did succeed in killing several “militants”. Killing off the head is faster and more efficient, but chopping off one limb, even one finger at a time is still helpful. Whether or not they get to enjoy a gaggle of virgins is irrelevant since they are no longer a threat to us if they are dead.
I’m glad to see the Afghani government taking such an aggressive approach. As Bryan pointed out, we do have allies in teh War on Terrorism. — Liberty

I don’t want to be a kill joy here, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.

“Multiple intelligence sources in Pakistan confirmed to ABC News that they believed Abu Mohsin Musa, also known as Abdul Rahman, had died in the overnight raid.”

It is good that “multiple” sources “believe” he is dead.

However:

“Pakistani authorities are still trying to determine the identities of the slain militants, who were quickly buried in the area, the officials said.”

Hopefully we can recover the body, and when an America on the ground can look straight at the corpse and confirm that “yep, that is him,” I will feel better about it.* Otherwise we run the risk of looking like Dan Rather and believing only what we want to believe.

*Or use DNA or fingerprinting or something similar.

But man, I REALLY hope we got him.

I haven’t seen a picture of Abu Mohsin Musa – was he an handsom man? If not, I guess that’s bad news for his 72 virgins.
Oh wait, silly me, I forgot the Danish cartoon. I think they ran out of those some time ago.
So on a more serious note, I’m glad he’s no longer a threat to innocent people in this world, but it is sad to consider his TRUE eternal fate.
