So, so great. Although be warned: You can’t fully appreciate this clip unless you’ve watched round one, from last month. I’ve been blogging news-show throwdowns since the days of Rosie O’Donnell vs. Elisabeth Hasselbeck on “The View” and offhand I can’t think of any pair that detest each other as much as these two do.
Maybe that’s unfair to Bongino. He doesn’t seem to hate Geraldo so much as he finds him amusingly contemptible.
Geraldo hates Bongino, though.

Not even Meghan McCain and Joy Behar reach that degree of palpable disgust during their now almost daily brawls. I’m frankly surprised that Rivera continues to appear on air with him.
…but I understand why Hannity and Fox keep trying to make it happen. It’s dynamite TV. If I were a network exec there, I’d declare the competition for the vacant 7 p.m. time slot over and hand that hour to Bongino and Geraldo. It’d be a “Hannity & Colmes” for our more bitterly partisan age. Instead of the hosts being playful antagonists, they’d be ready to murder each other on air.
Maybe Fox would ask them to continue with the Zoom format indefinitely, for reasons of occupational safety.
Actually, they have other plans for Bongino:
The conservative-leaning cable news channel is giving former congressman Trey Gowdy and radio host Dan Bongino weekend programs, starting in June. Gowdy will host an hour-long program on Sundays at 7 p.m., with Bongino hosting a show Saturdays at 10 p.m…
Bongino is effectively replacing The Greg Gutfeld Show, which left the schedule as Gutfeld! moved to 11 PM on weekdays. Bongino’s daily radio show will also stream on the Fox Nation streaming service as part of the deal.
Will Bongino make Geraldo a regular guest? He’d be crazy not to.
You can watch the fuller exchange between the two about Israel vs. Hamas from last night’s show here, although it ends up being a familiar anodyne debate about who bears ultimate moral blame for the Palestinian children killed in Israeli strikes. I’ll leave you with this instead, which has Rivera in better form.
"I'm a proud person of color, but some of my best friends are White… Therefore in solidarity with my White brethren, I will not ask this mayor for any interviews."
Geraldo Rivera slammed Chicago Mayor Lightfoot's "weird and racist policy" of "prioritizing" non-White reporters. pic.twitter.com/oUydOcMjuf
