Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

Expect wall-to-wall fiscal cliff coverage from the Sunday shows until the end of the year or a deal is reached, whichever comes first. Which is another way of saying that you should expect wall-to-wall fiscal cliff coverage until the end of the year. Today it’s Tom Coburn on ABC plus the high priests of deficit reduction, Simpson and Bowles, on CBS. Expect the latter to reassure Democrats that Boehner’s version of “the Bowles plan” is not, in fact, the Bowles plan.

Meanwhile, Tom Cole will appear on CNN to repeat his call for a quick compromise on tax hikes for the rich and Dick Durbin will hit NBC to do some more hemming and hawing about the sort of entitlement reform that he knows is absolutely necessary but which his base opposes anyway.
